Dyson V7

Our V7 cleans well but just about always runs out of battery before I've finished the job, then I need to go get our wall plugged unit which is inconvenient. I mostly run ours on the more powerful setting, but it doesn't do much on carpet on the low setting, else I'd use low setting as it goes for longer on that mode. It is handy for the caravan and car, or when we have a quick spill to clean up, just not useful to do a few carpet rooms in the house.

This is truly an impressive machine. We got it to replace the one that we bought on Kogan and the big Niflix. It's light and my God does it ever do a good job.

We have carpet and lino so find that this vacuum works great on all surfaces .can not fault this vacuum especially with pet hair. It is so easy to use

Received this vacuum as a Christmas gift - how luck am I? - love it. It is very powerful while being very compact. I love the fact that you can empty it without getting your hands dirty. The only electrical appliance In my house I love more is my sewing machine!

I use this on a tiled floor and also carpet and I have found the Dyson v7 excellent to use. It is so handy and I don’t have to bother about Cords being purged in or extension cords. Overall it performs well.

I purchased the Dyson V7 Animal in December 2018 when it was on special offer at $499. In the intervening year, I must say that the performance of this cordless vacuum has been poor. It is used in a routine domestic environment only on hard and carpeted flooring.. It often blocks, has poor suction on the standard setting and very short runtime on the higher setting. If the option was available to return the product and receive a refund, I would take it. We have found this product to be generally ineffective in our setting.

I have wooden floorboards, tiles and carpets in my small house. We have pet birds and a small, short haired dog. Dyson V7 is portable and easy to get out (therefore used more regularly) although I didn't find the soft roller head (for hard floors) to be that worthwhile - mainly use normal brush carpet head instead of going to the trouble of switching back and forth. Short battery life is annoying as is having to hold the trigger continuously for it to work. It's also quite sensitive so you have to pick up larger items (eg. scraps of paper, leaves) as the vacuum won't do it. Extra accessory kit for cars was a useful addition to the included accessories.

Very happy with our purchase. Great suction and cleaning power and long battery life. Use it most days for spot cleaning. Great for use in the car or van also.

I use it for areas my Miele upright cannot go, great suction and the perfect vacuum for under furniture, beds etc. would highly recommend as the second household vacuum for awkward places.

Lasted 6 months before the head stopped working, called Dyson for trouble shooting and a replacement head was sent, tried the replacement and it's still not working, waiting for a replacement body now. No option to take it anywhere convenient to be looked at and no option for express post/courier, so will be left with no vacuum over Xmas/new year. Poor service and poor product that it doesn't last more than 6 months. First and last Dyson!

I use this vacuum for myself and in my housekeeping job. Used on all floor surfaces. Better than a cord pull along vacuum easy to charge and easy to use. The suction is amazing. I love it so much that i have recommended it to several people who all went out and bought one and they love it to. I didn't buy the V8 Dyson the vacuum heads are different and swivel around to much.
But the V7 is perfect Thank you Dyson!!

Highly recommend this handheld vacuum cleaner that can also be transformed into a normal one. Vacuum cleaners should be cordless like this one because of the ease of use and not have to find a power outlet. I mainly use the handheld way which is very useful and powerful especially for hard to reach spots that a regular vacuum would have trouble with. Would easily buy this product again.

Love this new stick vacuum. Don't know how I cleaned without it. Great suction and love the motor head. Having two dogs they leave a lot of hair around. This vaccum picks it up really well and is great to use on stairs.

This is the best vacuum I have ever had. We got it before we got our puppy so we didn't get that one for the animal fur but it still works great. It's amazing to see how much dust and hair gets collected only after couple minutes of vacuuming. Battery doesn't last for too long. We have 1 BR apartment and the battery is just enough for vacuuming out whole place (half of our place/tiles on low and half of it on max/carpet) but if you have more than 1BR you might need to recharge more often which can be annoying.

This model was on sale that's why I bought this ..it only lasts so 30 minutes however it's very powerful and easy-to-use ..
It takes less than 5 minutes to clean my two bedroom apartment ..

So easy to use and store. Always ready when required. Used on both hard flooring and carpet and cleans both surfaces well. Head can be a little noisy though on hard flooring.
