I have enjoyed my time with A Table for Six immensely and met lots of very friendly singles at these dinners. I’m a professional business person in my 60’s and Rhyllie does a fantastic job of connecting people who might enjoy each other’s company. I’ve never been to a dinner I didn’t enjoy. Coming together with others that were thoughtfully matched to my lifestyle and interests meant that I had a great dinner out, with lots of laughs and insight into potential friends/suitors. The conversations and exposure has stayed with me. In my profession there is no chance I would have met the people that I was grouped with. It was definitely worth pursuing this dining club.

They signed me up over the phone and took my money. When I got the 12 month contract I found they only guarantee six dinners! They put me in the first dinner pretty quickly, but then nothing. They don't return calls and when I finally did get a response they told me there were no refunds. I agree with the other reviews - there's not enough male members, hence women rarely get to go to dinners. I note that every negative review on here is quickly followed up with a couple of positive ones to keep up the four star rating. Let's see how long it takes after my review for the fake positive ones to follow.

I have tried internet dating for a few years without success, you don't know if the other person you approach is interested or where they stand with wanting to date. People who attend Table for Six are genuinely interested in meeting new people and potentially dating- otherwise they wouldn't attend the dinners.

Meeting people face to face is much more pleasant than scrolling through profiles and not receiving responses.

Margaret has an excellent selection of restaurants, many of which I will return to outside of Table for Six dinners. I highly recommend Table for Six for meeting genuinely interested singles in lieu of online dating.

I joined a table for six after struggling with online dating as I wanted to actually meet people as I believe that meeting people face to face is a much more pleasant way to get to know them and even if you find there isn't a strong enough connection for a friendship or relationship it's good night out and a good way to meet new people and get some dating practice as I had been out of the game for a while.
During my time I met two people who I had relationships with and one of whom is still a good friend.
I would highly recommend trying this to anyone who has been in the online scene and haven't had any luck.

This is a very poorly run organization. [name removed] is very keen to get your money and then there are no suitable dinners available. She rarely answers her phone and hardly ever returns calls. I am very disappointed and have registered for many dinners and have probably been to 2-3 in 12 months.

I also had same experience with Table Six. If they don’t charge membership fee it will be more acceptable. I doubt they are doing much matching exercises. They don’t have enough male members to make good arrangements.

Recently tried this for the first time. Margaret was lovely to deal with and prompt with emails and replies. The night was better than I expected. One man was missing but the others were good company and so were the women. The restaurant was very stylish, in inner eastern suburbs and great for dating environment. I find the people here are more serious about finding a partner than the ones you meet speed dating, which you would expect as these events cost more and require more time. The minus 1 star is because I heard from the others it is really Table for 5 with 1 missing man on most nights. It was overall an enjoyable night.

Saturday's dinner was really great. The group dynamic was probably the best I've experienced so far - the talking was easy and energized and I felt like everybody was able to contribute. The venue was excellent with good food, staff and atmosphere.

Although I didn't feel any special connection this time, I enjoyed the opportunity to meet new people with similar interests and have engaging, lively conversations. It's really good for my self esteem to get out there and have a good time, I feel like it's making me more open as a person.

I was told about Table for Six by a friend. I made a call I am so pleased I did. I went to a function to see how I would fit in WOW is what I would like to say on arrival I was greeted by Rhyllie Wow again so friendly and inviting she got me a glass of champers & from there introduced me to a group who in turn introduced me to others, my shyness soon disappeared & I went on to have a great night I even met someone who asked for my number the process to do this is very secure with my permission I have met someone and we are enjoying each others company at dinner & at movies. I was very excited to join, concept is great, but what an expensive mistake.
My credit card was promptly debited $449 7 months ago, & I have attended 2 dinners despite registering for many. Disappointingly only 1 male I met at these 2 dinners was from my local area chosen, & I really did not have anything in common with any, so I don't know how much 'matching' is involved!! I also heard there is a shortage of men so they have abundant dinner. invites, sadly not the same for the women. I contacted Margaret to express my concerns, she replied saying it was difficult to find appropriate 'matches' available. Shame she didn't tell me this before taking my money !!!

I joined this club and paid a huge membership fee. They booked me into only a few dinner events which were always at late notice. They didn’t have a full group each time - isn’t it meant to be a table for six?? This service is very poor value and badly organised. I would not recommend it.

I attended the cocktail function on Saturday evening at a great venue Story Bridge Hotel. I am a new non member of Table for Six soon to be a new member I can't say enough about the friendly and welcoming Rhyllie & other members. I was introduced to a group of fun people both men & women lots of laughter and great conversation the food was marvellous. As the evening was winding up I was invited to go with the members to the downstairs bar with live music & dancing. Great night looking forward to catching up with everyone again. Thanks Rhyllie.

I am a young 57 year old and suddenly found myself single. A woman I work with met her partner through Table for Six and suggested I try it and start socialising again. I am so glad I did. After making contact with Rhyllie I was put at ease about any misgivings I might have had, Rhyllie is lovely to deal with open, honest, obliging and always up for a chat. So far she has sent me to 8 dinners and I'm looking forward to the next one. I highly recommend Table for Six to everyone.
