M7 jack doesn't lift rear
Twice tried to change flat on the rear, Jack supplied with motorhome is useless falls over, nrma roadside assistance man struggled using a bottle jack (I bought) I notified Fiat also Avan, still no answer, also spare lost it 6times, still waiting for a proper solution, it's supposed to be a joy to own but it's the little things that bug you overall the 75,000km travelling has been good, layout 2nd to none, quality control leaves alot to be desired, the Fiat has been a pleasure to drive with a few elements to complain about, I'm 68 and not has fit healthwise, going in for service soon.

Avan Super Centre Campbellfield A1 for service
We recently purchase an Avan Ovation M5 with the usual extras diesel heater, towbar and bull bar. Although it was an 8 month wait, it was delivered on time. The hand over on delivery was very thorough and practical for us newbies, we walked away well informed and for what we had forgotten it was simply a phone call to the super centre and our questions were answered. After a few weeks and a couple of short trips there's been no unexpected surprises and everything is operating as it should. Love the spacious lounge area where the drop down bed is, and find the Luton peak a storage bonus, as well as one person sleeping there it still leaves plenty of storage room toward the front.

Reluctant sale for health reasons. Only 27000k still has Fiat warranty.

Very happy campers!
Recently sold our 2013 M3 privately and purchased a new M5 as we really like the electric bed design and extra bench space in the kitchen area. Much better use of space. Had a diesel heater, solar and an extra fresh water tank fitted as extras which makes for easier free camping. Outstanding service received from the Pakenham factory as always. We couldn't be happier!

Avan M7
I just purchased a new motorhome from Penrith.I am so far vary happy with the motorhome. The only problem I have is the Fiat Ducato side.
After paying for the motorhomeand the sales person was showing me how everything works I noticed no electric adjustable external mirrors and than I asked about the inbuilt navigator and was than told it only had maps for Europe and there would be a recall from Fiat to upgrade the mirrors and navagator.
On returning home I contacted the local Fiat agent and they knew nothing about upgrades.

How stupid is it they sell a motorhome and can't solve a problem about Tomtom navigator. They make a good motorhome, now I feel like I could not recommend their product.Received my TomTom today

Very Happy Traveller
I bought a new Avan M5 Ovation last year with the electric drop down bed. Could not be any happier with it. Have had a couple of teething problems with it...to be expected, but have had excellent service from the suppliers in Pakenham, when there, but also the interstate agents have been really great to. I researched for 3 years and came up with the Avan due to price, layout and the Fiat Ducato is easy to drive and very economical.

Nice unit
Not a bad unit dispite a few little irritations The screens are flimsy and this needs to be addressed would like this to improve in future vans the black and white interior is refreshing and easy to clean. The slide out bed is great hanging space is poor and is not long enough to hang up most clothes the petrol cap on the Ducati is difficult to open and shut Overall though unit is functional and looks nice.

Avan just great.....
Our 2007 Fiat Ducato Ovation M3 is everything we could hope for in a Motorhome. We bought ours in 2012 with 40,000k on the clock. In the last 3 years we have travelled 60,000 with hardly a hitch - the standard of the finish throughout has been exceptional with only minor issues due to general wear & tear. Avan even attended to a problem with slight floor movement in the kitchen area willingly and without charge. We couldn't recommend them more highly.... and no, we're not on their payroll !!

Love it!!!
After having a Avan M 3 for two years which we really enjoyed, we decided to upgrade to M 5 to obtain extra living space. Found layout more suitable for extended stay-put travelling. Very happy with electric elevated bed, which allows sitting area when be raised. Fiat ducato 180 4 cylinder diesel has torque to burn, drives like a car because of the wide rear track . Fuel economy has been around 11 .5 litres per 100 km @ 95 km / hour speed . I have no connection with manufacturer and provide this information without prejudice. All considered we love this motorhome. Oz & Jill

Avan Motorhome
Our A'van Ovation Motorhome is 7 years old now, Just recently we had a problem with our entrance door, we contacted Avan as we were in Melbourne at the time, and they said if we took it over they would fix it straight away for free. I consider that good service well done Avan.

Expect more for the cost
Bought a 2013 M6, very disappointed, upholstery is very poor in workmanship and materials, expect more for thebprice, one month old and the fridge packs it in, had to be replaced, could not fit out the door, so my. original one had to be rebuilt in the van, on the bed, at 4000 k the shower recess cracked, just from vibration on the road, this had to be rebuilt, from when first purchased, when the awning light was switched on, if the tv was on it would cut off. The overall finish of the van is very second rate, obviously there is no quality ...Read more
control at the. factory.. I. also. have to say the service from the factory was a disgrace, impossible to get anyone to pick up the phone, and now have found out it is just about impossible to get thevrear wheelmoff, with the jack provided, because ofa design flaw with the rear fender which means the van has to be lifted very high to change the wheel, this would be impossible in a roadside situation. Also. parts back up isvery slow, found this out. after body parts. had to be ordered after a. small accident. Overall I think forvthe money, I could have got better somewhere else. On a good note. the Fiat. component is faultless Dont recommend. this motorhome at all. I am. very disappointed The Fiat component for the money not good value2 comments

d not figure a way to get the fridge out without removing door frame or window, which they did not want to do in case of warranty being voided You make no mention of second rate upholstery job, even original Fiat seats have been recovered in this shoddy manner, as. for the problem of removing rear wheel in a normal situation, you make no mention of that. As for yiour quick parts delivery, after wrong parts being eventually sent, took repairer nearly six weeks to get them, after repeated phone calls with no answer. My comments on the quality. of my finished van is less than. expected for the price, very ordinary. The Fiat component. great, the Avan component very much a let downSimilar opinion? Ovation M7
Purchased a new M7 Ovation in January 2014 and we are very happy campers. This is not our first motorhome so we are very experienced travellers.
From new, there were a couple little annoying faults with the engine which were promptly fixed by the Fiat agent in Adelaide - can't complain about the service. Interior - had problems with cupboards that contain the large TV which resulted in having to replace the 40" Samsung as the surround was damaged.
These are very small teething problems which should not deter anyone from buying this fabulo...Read more
us vehicle, We have been on many short trips, including some free camps which have all put the unit to the test and it comes up with flying colours! A pleasure to drive, extremely comfortable and very relaxing to sleep in. Stacks of cupboard space - remembering exactly where everything has been put is a challenge for us grey nomads. The en-suite, while a bit small is very functional and we always use the shower even in caravan parks. Having two televisions may seem like a luxury but it means that we can relax while reading & eating and then really stretch out at night and enjoy the big screen & surround sound - why not! The biggest plus is fuel consumption - we always get a genuine 11 litres per 100 Km, often even better. We travel at around 90 to 100 Kms, fully loaded and through flat & hilly terrain and the rate stays the same. Great machine!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Great value for money
Bought an M3 about 6 months ago after a long buying journey to arrive at what would be an investment for the future. At this price it was much cheaper than buying a large 4wd plus a 20ft caravan or other motorhomes i looked at from other manufacturers. I guess its a matter of doing the research and deciding what best suits.I waited 10 months for it to be built and have taken it surfing and bike riding. It drives well and gets about 11lt/100km. I would say that anyone who buys a vehicle of this size needs to consider their ability to park and m...Read more
onouver. Ive got a heavy rigid licence. The finish is excellent inside and at night has a lovely style. I got the bed over cab that I mostly carry my 8ft Mel and 7ft fish surfboards in. I got some roof racks for extended trips but haven't needed them yet. Also I had avan fit a ladder for roof access and a solar panel. Roof access is easy but there's not much room so I'm careful. Access to the outside lockers is very good but could do with a wet area for wetsuits etc. I had a bull bar fitted which has been handy to stand on to pull the storage cover on and of. Overall a fabulous vehicle for its size. Fuel economy and drivability, diesel ducted heater, leather seats, well equipped with stove and general layout. Although tapered bed is not a problem split in mattress can be uncomfortable, surround sound only operates of 240vSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

We can verify everything in the previos reviews, We would not buy another product from Avan ever, and they boast Proudly Australian on the side. what a joke, I think Ill take that off! We cant wait for all these problems eventually to be fixed to perfect!!As New Condition so we can trade this lemon in on another brand of motorhome so that we can enjoy the two year trip that we planned for so long and after selling up our home this experiance has made our dream turn into an ongoing nightmare. ave had enough of the Avan Manufacturer and Dealer response and the solicitor will have be our next call. Fiat ducato vehicle with 6 speed auto/manual, Bought the Ovation M3 to live in for three years for its layout. The 175ltr fridge. Front blockout blind system. Poor aftersales service. Picked the new vehicle up in Brisbane one month ago, Windscreen was scratched, 43klms extra on the clock at pickup and a sad response from the dealer after all this is a $115,000 purchase and they treat you like an idiot. Fibreglass cab-over leaked through a faulty seal in rain and water poured in over dash electrics and CD player. Both outside door hatches leaked and became full of water soaking all the gear inside the hatches and the interal floor. House door installed incorrectly with gaps allowing water to blow inside whilst driving, when asked the dealer to adjust we where told that this is the way they are and water always gets in! The house door locking access latch mechanism broke in second week, still waiting for repairs because no parts available in Australia, OK if you want to lock it with an ocky strap and climb in over the seats everytime you want to to get into the motorhome, No security locks on flyscreen door when main door is in the open position, Blind and flyscreen system on one window mounted crooked affecting its operation. Front blind system rattles like crazy when driving, TV sits crooked on mounting wall bracket, No seal between wind out awning and the van allowing rainwater to run down into covered annexe area. Glass covers cracked on two downlights because of faulty fittings. Seat cushion fabric has stretched out of shape on both seats. The best is that there is a huge indent in the top of the fibreglass cab over section with other lumps and a fracture which will be a major problem to fix for us, Still waiting after two weeks for response from manufacturer about warranty.Similar opinion? The company;Very good, just basic poor 'pick-up' dealership slackness. Service centre good to fair, like all companies need more qualified staff to reduce wait time for fiddly warranty work. The 'normal' after we buy the unit, customer service is drastically reduced.

Excellent
This is our second Motorhome and we realy love it,the kitchen area is well laid out with everthing at hand but not cluttered, the seperate toilet and shower is great and we no longer have to dry around the toilet after a shower as we did with our other motorhome.
We like the way the front seats rotate to give more living space and the built in front blinds that close off the windsreen and side windows for privacy.
Storage space is good with lots under the lift up rear bed,the fridge is heaps bigger than our last one and it even has a seperate...Read more

We are currently looking at an avan but the floor near the door and a few other spots feels soft? should we be wary
4 answers
Firstly is this a new or used unit.
The floor in my unit is very firm, so the only thing I can think of is if the floor had be flooded at some time.
You certainly should, there should be no soft spots in the floor, ours is 5 years old now and the floor is solid,I would ask if it could be taken to a caravan/motorhome repair business and get them to check it out or it could cost you a lot of money later on.
It is a 2014 model with a washing machine next to the door where the drawers usually are
