The car I booked a Toyota Corrolla or similar was actually a Yaris when I collected it which made for a tight fit with our luggage & a baby with car seat. I think it's a big stretch between these two and I ought to have been a bit more forceful & demanded what had I paid for. The staff were very friendly & efficient and this calmed the situation greatly, I don't like conflict but there's a lesson there for me. The car was small but otherwise did the trips we had planned for the 10 days & once we had off loaded the luggage was fine.

No office in the airport. As a tourist I did not have a Australian sim card so it was quite expensive to be on hold for several minutes listening to Vivaldi four seasons or other generic "held in a queue" to get picked up. When the mini bus arrived we drove for several minutes around the back of the runway. Cars were old and had high mileage. No maps or info how to navigate out of Sydney. Returned the car and had to wait 40 mins to drive back to the airport. Had a invoice 2 months later saying I was being charged $35 admin charge for a $3 bridge toll and 2 motorway tolls. Totally unproportional. Would never use again

Hired car from Auckland Airport. We were picked up by shuttle bus promptly. Had a 15 minute wait for the car at the office.
The car ran perfectly for 5 days of rental.
Delivered car to Auckland CBD 30 minutes late. No problem at all. We were even given a lift to our hotel post rental.
An all round great experience with this company.

Fantastic customer service - CSO was very busy but had time for us.
Bond and payment handled well.
We received a free upgrade - so better than we expected.
Vehicle used for driving around Dunedin, visiting relations.

I have rented from Ace several times and each experience has been good. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, the cars are fine and the prices reasonable. Since a bad experience dealing with another international car rental company (beginning with 'E') I have only used Ace when in New Zealand and will continue to do so.

Was very happy with Hyundai Elantra that we hired for 14 days on South Island of NZ.
The customer service throughout was great - pick up and drop off was easy (close to Christchurch airport).
Price was very good. Will use ACE again.

The customer service, the man who was busy with your company was absolutely perfect for me. Understanding my need about the car, I will remember always the kindness of this man. Knowing I would travel to Wellington straightaway because I missed the touristic train and I need to arrive to the Novotel the quicker possible to continue my trip.
When I arrive to the Novotel at Wellington it was late. I needed to be at the ferry early morning the next day.
So, I was unable to return the car, knowing nothing about the town. I have left the car to the hotel asking them to phone you. I think everything has been done properly.

Very efficient and helpful at pickup in Christchurch and at delivery in Picton. Modern car, (Toyota Rav4) tidy and mechanically sound. Would definitely use this company again and highly recommend.

I fly to Queenstown regularly ALWAYS use Ace rental cars. Pickup is always so easy, staff are helpful and efficient. Best value for money, good cars always very clean and reasonably priced. I highly recommend.

On the whole quite good. Every model of rental car is different, it would have been very nice to have had guided instruction at the start. Some features I never did exploit. Shame that there was no map available in Auckland leading us to the Wellington Airport drop off, this caused us big problems, thank goodness we were early!
No problems with payment, full insurance so no bond. (No claims either)

Used for travelling throughout the North Island - perfect, the rear seats folded down easily and we (two) had no problem fitting 2 medium suitcases and two cabin cases.
We have always booked with Ace for the last 20 years and will continue to do so, we must be happy!

Best value for money we could find. Pick up from and delivery to airport available, which all helps.
Did get a bigger vehicle, which we weren't expecting and weren't told about. Didn't have to pay any extra for it though.

Some initial issues with online payment but was sorted fairly quickly. Claude looked after us in Wellington and couldn't do enough to make sure our holiday started perfectly. He didn't rush us and made pickup of our vehicle hassle free....we even got an upgrade due to our vehicle not being ready. We had a Toyota Rav 4 which was awesome. Clean, tidy and well maintained. Excellent on fuel. It far exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend Ace Rentals. This is the 3rd time we've used them and they didn't disappoint.....thanks to all in Wellington and Auckland for your great customer service skills!

It was a trouble free experience to rent a car. Very friendly and efficient staff, we also have been offered a free car upgrade witch we took. Our car was tidy and clean no technical problems, tyres, motor oil, coolant, have been toped up and windscreen wipers were working fine.
Also the free pick up service from and to the Airport was well organised. We can absolutely recommend Ace Rental Cars and would use it again!

Great customer service. Car I booked not available so got upgraded to a better car at no extra cost. They have me a Camry, great car for touring all around Victoria.

Customer service great. Easy pick up and drop off service to Christchurch airport. Car great and perfect for a couple touring around South Island. Roomy boot for suitcases drove well and economical on petrol.

We found it to be very easy with no stress to collect the car at Dunedin airport. Our daughter booked the car on line - no problems at all. We picked up the car we were expecting which was in prime condition. We were on holiday in the Sth Island and we thought it to be A1. Bob the bus driver at Christchurch Ace Depot was so helpful and pleasant he showed us exactly where to catch the transport to Christchurch Central.
