Creates a lovely indoor environment but is very noisy
We installed an Actron Air ESP Plus 17.7kw single phase digital scroll in January 2011 for $10,114.50. We have not had any problems with it. It is very powerful and cools the house amazingly fast. We use it almost always in the ESP mode. In that mode it is off a lot - especially at night - so we also have a fan blowing to keep the air flowing. (As we usually only use it in two rooms at a time it seemed more costly to use the continuous mode - which is nice but seems to use a lot more electricity than two room fans.) My only complaint is the...Read more
outside noise which has been mentioned by others. So far our neighbor has not complained. It can be heard in the rooms next to the unit but in the rest of the house it is whisper quiet. It was installed by 'Think Cooling' on the Gold Coast.

SERVICE WARRANTY DEPARTMENT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE
We bought this aircon because the installers stated that the ESP would save us hundreds of dollars in power per year. When we ran our own tests on this unit, that was an absolute fable, there is little or no difference in our power bill. NEVER NEVER NEVER trust their service and warranty divisions. Now the air con has just stopped working we contacted the warranty division and have had nothing but lies and the run around given, from parts never leaving, never ordered and slagging their service agents in our area. We have now waited for 20 days to get the part that MAYBE the fault after the first part sent didn't work. Therefore I would NEVER positively tell anyone about ACTRON AIR CONDITIONERS.

It is a lemon that has never worked.
Our Actron unit was installed in December 2013. We moved into our new house in January 2014 and our air conditioner has never worked properly. It starts O.K. but then we get loud noise from the outside engine and an E6 or E9 error message and no cooling/heating. It takes weeks to get anyone to come and have a look at the problem. We've had two visits from Actron and two from Quality Air who installed it but it isn't long before it breaks down again. I guess it saves on the electricity bill.
It cost as much as a new car, it doesn't work and slow/bad warranty service

Find out how ActronAir ESP Plus compares to other Ducted Air Conditioners
Know better, choose better.
Not worth the money!
Our unit is on its third repair since new and we don't use a lot due to the power costs these days. Today I have been quoted $2000 plus for the repair bill, compressor, soft starter and re gas not thrilled about it and Actron doesn't want to know about it. Great when working reliability and cost of repairs ridiculous.
When going very good
Cost of repairs out of this world.

Reliable home climate control at excellent value
December of last year, my home air conditioning unit broke down--for good, just in time for the holidays. Spending the holidays freezing cold was never an option so I immediately searched online for possible replacement options. The trouble was that most of my savings went to my christmas shopping, and the cost of a new and branded air-conditioning unit is something way beyond what remains in my pocketbook. Desperately looking for great deals on air conditioning units online, I ended up opening this page. I was introduced to ActronAir ESP Plus ...Read more
15kW. To sum it all up, my first ActronAir ESP Plus unit saved my pocketbook from getting all drained. It costed way cheaper than my old AC brand, yet true to its operation features as well as the product reviews published on this page, it pretty much covered the climate control needed by the whole of upstairs and half of downstairs of my 32 sq. m. home. All the good things about this unit kept coming. The unit came with a 5-year warranty and a convenient service network, which the technician patiently explained to me in detail. Thanks everyone for the help! ActronAir is now my trusty AC brand and I would certainly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a relatively cheaper yet equally dependable replacement to broke down branded air conditioning units. great value, performs as advertisedSimilar opinion? 5 Star Air Con
I was looking for energy efficient hi tech air con for our new house with a decent warranty. Glad we decided on 18KW 3 Phase model. Yes, it is not the cheapest in the market but it is supremely efficient energy wise I should say. It will reach what ever the temp I set within a matter of minutes. In Summer, I can just switch on the master bed room. (We have 8 Zones). Indoor unit is suspended in the roof cavity for whisper quiet operation. In short, a very very good unit.
Whisper quiet operation, energy efficiency, very good warranty and Made in Australia

You lil ripper!!
This would have to be by far, the most superior ducted air con unit on the market! After surviving (barely) the extreme heat last summer in a newly built house, we made the decision to have ducted ready for this year. After several quotes, and varying recommendations (samsung, daikin, panasonic)/prices (between $9k and $13k) between different companies, we opted for this beauty!
We have a double storey house (33sq), so wanted something that provided flexibility and capacity to be able to cool one room or the whole house. All of the other un...Read more
its (daikin, panasonic, fujitsu etc), still require a "constant zone", which is an area running at all times in order to run bedroom etc. This proved to be an expensive option, as over half of the house would be being cooled for one bedroom- makes no sense. We did alot of research on this unit, and given it can have upto 8 zones, is aussie made and can run one zone or all 8.. i'm not sure what their isn't to like about it. On a hot/humid day, we have it on low fan set at 24 degrees and this seems to be the perfect temperature. We purchased the 18.9KW system, and on high fan, your hair will be blowing. It is quiet to run (both the indoor and outdoor units) and the keypad is more or less fool proof! Should we ever move house/rebuild, i would never consider anything other that an Actron ESP plus. Shop around, and haggle with the price- out first quote come back at $13,000 and we got them down to $10,800. I cannot find enough people to brag about it too! Quiet, cools effectively and quickly, can run one zone or all 8. 5 year warranty. Expensive compared to other reputable brands- but versatility and efficiency cancel this out10 comments
May I ask who was the installer you had used - if it is not against any rules? I have been looking at getting the same unit, but somehow we have not had much luck in getting quotes. the house is a project 2 storey similar size to yours
Hi. could you please answer previous person.. we are looking at same unit and would be good to know supplier you purchased and installed this from.
thanks

he team of guys worked like clock work- kept me involved in the whole process and explained everything they were doing. We had some disinterested people as well, but you gotta play the game with some of them, just for the sake of getting a price comparison. Good luck :)Similar opinion? Excellent
I can honestly say that having purchased 5 fully ducted Air-Conditioning systems ( including the highly recommended over Priced Daikin Brand)that no other Air-Conditioner has performed anywhere near as well as the Actron ESP+ System I now have, was only a few bucks more than the Daikin but I reckon the Pay back on the reduced Power Bills has taken care of that 10 fold, we love it!
Whats Not to Like! Super Quiet, Ultra responsive to temperature selection, Power bills very resonable, can run just one outlet if required without excessive noise level.
A liitle on the 'Pricey' Side but hey you do get what you Pay for.

I have an Actron Air ESP approximately 7 years old. It is displaying E9 and won’t let out cool air. Does this mean the filter needs cleaning?

Thanks - ActronAir
Hi, this could have many reasons but not the filter. Could be the soft starter or more. It threw my ESP out and replaced it with a Daikan. Much better quality and cheaper. I had nothing but problems with it. It was a money trap.

Add another $3371.50 to the $10,114.50. The first amount was the deposit, the second amount was the final payment. Also we did have one need of a service call soon after the air conditioner was installed but have had no problems since.
