Machine is crap
Broke down after 12 months
Why did I waste $2600
Service from AEG also crap
Previous AEG lasted 16 years so clearly current product very inferior.
Will never buy anything from them or Electrolux again
Purchased in February 2021 at e&s for $2,600.00.

Fantastic washing machine
We purchased the 8000 Series 10kg Washing Machine (LF8C1612A) in combination with the 8000 Series 8kg Heat Pump Dryer (T8DHC862B). So far we've been very happy with this machine. We use it everyday to wash synthetics, cottons, woolens and silks. We use the OKOMix a lot with good results. The steam refresh feature is fantastic.

Just Fantastic
We have had top loading washing machines for years, until last year when we replaced it with an AEG 10Kg Front Loader.
My Partner does family day care from home so the washing machine gets used a lot more frequently than the average person which was the main reason for a 10kg machine, to date we have found the product to be very good.
- Washing Programmes excellent
- Stain Removal has been awesome
- Cycles take a little longer but our garments don't take as long to dry
- Easy to use and maintain.
- Very Quiet compared to our other machine, d...Read more

Rubbish service and product
Washing machine been fixed twice. Customer service is a joke you never get results. Machine has never washed well from new, the 7 year warranty is a joke, I’ve spent more time fixing this machine than I did with our last 25 year old machine. My advice buy a different brand.

Washer has been fixed twice, lemon from the start, rubbish support.
I’m over AEG, the machine has been fixed twice, they understand there is a problem but refuse to do any more than deny us a washer (young family of 5) for two to three weeks at a time to repair it. It’s just started to display errors again refusing to complete a cycle
Note: love our dryer which we purchased as a combo. But washing machine is rubbish.

Worst customer service (after Telstra... just)
In all my life, I have not come across this sort of ‘we don’t care about the customer once we have paid in full for the product’ attitude from customer service (AEG) In my case, that’s $5,500 on a washing machine and dryer, purchased from Harvey Norman Auburn.
We called 6 days before they were due install to find out the length of the hoses for the washing machine. You would think customer service might have a manual laying around so they can look at? Nope! I was on hold for 15mins so they could ‘look in to it’. Called again...twice...emailed ...Read more

They know me and my matter really well now as the owner has taken over dealing with this as his team, myself and my husband have had no luck and left speechless at just the standard (no bells and whistles) of the service we have received.Similar opinion? BEST machine ever!
We bought our LF8C1612A 10kg AEG washing machine approx. 8 months ago.
The sleek, beautiful design looks awesome in our laundry. We also have a matching dryer.
The machine is so quiet and has a lot of settings to suit your load.
We use powder in our machine and because of the OKOMix technology, we never have an issue with clumpy bits in the machine or on the clothing! The machine spins very fast and clothes are hardly wet! - drying time is great.
The AEG customer service is also fantastic. We have lots of AEG items in our house and they have been our to fix all of our small issues with no worries. (Water flowing issues in newly built home, etc - nothing that AEG's issues).
Definitely recommend AEG products!

I love this machine more than my husband!!
There are things to spend money on when it comes to household items and there are things you can afford to be alittle tight. I am so glad that I spent the extra money on my washing machine. With a toddler, i wanted a machine that would wash WELL! And i got it. This machine has 2 extra stain removal compartments that work like magic. i pop my extra strength Napisan in the little compartment and add stain removal and little ones clothes come out perfectly clean. No need for soaking, spraying or dabbing. The machine does it all. It's super quiet a...Read more
nd i love that i can add up to 5 (i think) extra rinses which i do for our bedding. It also has a steam function which i can add to the washing (which i do for towels...so fluffy) and also i use it refresh my husbands suit jackets and my work dresses, instead of washing which saves wear and tear. It's got a quick 20minute wash which i use all the time to wash my little ones favourite 'lamb' because he can't live without it (he sits in front of the machine waiting for it to come out). And the other thing i like is this mixing chamber that it has. The problem with my last machine was that the detergent and fabric softner built up and it left yucky spots on my clothes. I was told that this machine premixes detergents and also fabric softeners so that they don't build up in the machine itself. Brilliant!! I now confidently use a little fabric softener on my towels without the fear of build up. Great machine! Oh i also love the 5 year warranty....so many things!!Similar opinion? Yes it’s expensive! But it’s worth every dollar!
This washing machine is fantastic, we have always had top loaders and this is the first front loader we’ve had at home (I’ve got a front loader at my business to wash dirty tea towels for my restaurant). You cannot compare this wash quality with a Toploader, it washes one 00% better and it’s very gentle on your close. If you set it on normal a wash cycle yes it takes three hours to wash but you can change the settings and it does a perfect wash in one hour!
Compared to the cheap front loader I have at work this expensive front loader is worth every dollar!
We are very happy and highly recommend this model to anyone who is looking at purchasing a front loader or making the big change from top loader to front loader!

My 20 Year Old AEG Lavamat has just Given up the Ghost
AEG Lavamat 6450 Front Load Washing Machine which I bought in 1997 in Victoria has finally got a Faulty Circuit Board, it was just Brilliant at cleaning dirty clothes, spinning. it had all the Bells and Whistles, Electronic Door opening, small wash, large wash, delicates, Woolens, silks etc. etc....
We have ordered the AEG 10kg Front Loader, I am praying that the Quality is still there, I feel quite tearful to loose my Reliable AEG.

Great, large machine
I’ve had front loading machines for many years, and the drawback has always been that they were quite small. Not this one! I’ve seen criticism that the 10kg feature is only for cottons, but who washes 10kg of clothes every single load? I like that there are other options for load sizes and fabrics. I’ve also seen criticism (same person) that the machine doesn’t use enough water and therefore clothes rub together. Not in my experience with the machine. I would expect this with a top loader (I had one that pretty much ate my clothes) but not a fr...Read more
ont loader, unless it was being crammed with clothes so there was no room for them to move around the drum during the wash cycle. I also saw one criticism (again, same person) that clothes have dry spots and aren’t being washed. Not in my experience either. Because of the high spin speed, they do come out feeling drier, but not because they haven’t been properly washed. I wash knitwear in the machine with no stretching, shrinking or rubbing. The machine handles heavy duty work clothes, delicates, and everyday items like a champ. Like all front loaders, some wash cycle times can be long, but the timesaver option cuts down times significantly. The steam cycle freshens and removes creases, and saves on ironing. How can one person’s experience be so different from another’s? Pros: * Can wash up to 10kg - great for large loads of towels and bedsheets * A variety of different cycles for load sizes and fabrics * Variable spin speeds up to 1600 rpm - clothes take less time to dry * Steam refresh cycle * Time-saver option reduces cycle times * Mixes and dissolves detergent with water completely before adding to the wash to prevent powder detergent stains * Large opening makes it easy to remove clothesSimilar opinion? Powerful machine
I highly recommend buying this machine.
I use it for all types of materials.
The washing machine takes good care of your clothes. I use delicate mode and hand wash mode for certain clothes and you can choose between cold water and warm/hot depending on what you're washing.
It has an easy 30 minute cycle for daily washing too

This is a disappointing machine for the price
I couldn't find any reviews for this machine before I purchased it. The salesman at Harvey Norman was very convincing and after only two weeks of use I am very disappointed. It is only truly a 10kg machine if you wash cottons only. If you wash clothes that need a lighter hand (eg, synthetics), the max load is much lower. Many of the family's clothes (including expensive school uniforms) have been ruined as the machine uses so little water the clothes are continuously rubbed together during the cycle. When the door is opened after a 3.5 hour lon...Read more
g cycle with less than the max load of clothes, sections of the clothes are still dry and obviously not cleaned (my daughter's preschool paint which used to come out easily in one wash doesn't come out even after two washes). Today I am trying to see how it goes by adding an extra rinse and a 'soft touch' setting to hopefully encourage more water into the cycle. This brings the wash cycle up to almost 5 hours. I suppose this is how all front loader washing machines get their 'water wise' labels. The saving grace of this machine is that I am now able to wash one set of bed linen or the whole family's towels and hand towels in one wash cycle. The washing machine is in an external laundry so I cannot comment on the sound during operation. Other than that, I certainly would not recommend this product to those with a large family who are concerned about having their clothes worn out.1 comment

No looking back now
After 21 years my top loader retired so instead of getting another top loader I thought I would take the plunge, listen to the hype and try a front loader. I’m more than happy with this decision now, machine is quite and thoroughly washes with a fantastic spin. Not having an agitator is a bonus, it is so much gentler on my clothes and best of all no more fluffs on my darks, goodbye brush-matic!! This machine has a whopping 10kg capacity and I was able to wash doonas with ease. Best of all I bought the Electrolux pedestal, so now not only do I h...Read more

Great wash budget price.
Brought this machine as we needed a front loader washing machine, and in general a washing machine ASAP so happy with choice it was reasonabley cheap. You can hear the obvious spin cycle. It cleans well has a great choice of cycles. Love that even for hot wash only uses cold water so saving on gas as well.

Don't Risk it!
I bought this machine in March from Harvey Norman to replace a Fisher and Paykel which had only lasted 5 years.
First impressions of the AEG were good as it did a good wash, was quite and I felt reassured by the 5-year Manufacturers Warranty. This machine lasted only 19 days! A major failure occurred as a huge chunk of plastic broke off the inside of the rear of the wash basin, flooding the inside of the machine. I was informed by a friendly technician that these machines while beautiful to run are constantly breaking down and very expensive to repair once warranty has run out. It was enough to put me off for good and I exchanged it for Bosch.

Can Electrolux please explain why they can't answer the most simple question HERE? The same stock response to every single question and negative review only underscores the impression you get here that the product may be okay but the customer service is crap! Can anything be worse than Telstra? OMG

Yes AEG is worse they just have no idea what customer service is and that negative reviews will stop other people from purchasing there products dry ok washing machine not worth it. Piece of rubbish forever broken and can take months to get fixed service agent in my area don’t care as well. Highly recommended not to purchase a AEG anything
Yep. Electrolux, AEG, Bosch, Samsung, Meile, Asko all seem to offer the same stock responses, or no responses at all; I've crossed just about everyone off my buy list! Are there any brands out there with a good customer service reputation?

Hi there,
These measurements are approximate as it’s difficult to be precise as they’re installed.
Dryer
Height= 840mm
Width = 600mm
Depth = 660mm
Washer
Height= 880mm
Width = 600mm
Depth = 660mm
I have stacked them and the overall height (as I have it configured) is 1740mm.
Hope this helps.
Thanks it too tall and wont fit i der my bench

Why still getting small specks of gunk? on cream sheets. Just one queen bed set washed on the 10kg cotton cycle. Have already had a technician out and he explained about using very little detergent plus bi-carb and vinegar as softener for the towels. Today sheets came out with the spots and towels always have to be dried in the dryer otherwise they are like cardboard (oh, and I use the oko for two towels plus hand towel and also give an extra rinse as suggested by your help line). Getting frustrated as only my husband and I but I seem to spend so much time as the 20 min. cycle mostly indicates overweight. Only two people but have to use OKO as the next minimal time wash unless you can suggest anything else.
