Perfect extra job!
Airtasker is perfect for getting some extra jobs be it in person or remotely. Safe to use and the people there are really nice. But fees are too high i think.

Great for getting extra work
The platform is very hard from a taskers point of view the ne system that unables you to put in a reasonable offer doesn't work then posters become confused when you turn up and try explaining the task is different to the post and either will cost less or more so find it very hard to put in a genuine offer maybe try a platform that for taskers you charge a monthly fee and same deal gold to bronze category that the more tasks you do the less monthly you pay other platforms work service seeking for one
Also very poor communication lines cant contact via phone only email and these are always days later

Its good but has its shortcomings
Cons:
-Fees are huge and current rating system is not good enough to make it worth while. 20% fee can be crippling on some jobs.
-Some tasks are complex and need proper planning before quoting but due to the strict communication guidelines, you're not allowed to share contact information
-Other taskers can see your quotes/negotiations and then tend to copy and undersell which can be frustrating
Pros:
-It is honestly one of the best platforms in Australia for task advertising
-Very simple to use and user-friendly

Commission requested is way to high at 22%
The commission is a ridiculous percentage, also it makes it very hard to quote properly for work when you cant get the details off the client or give yours. It is a great concept but the rates really screw it

Airtasker customer support non existent
I had a tasker leave halfway through a job that completed incorrectly and stated he had coronavirus. Airtasker are not taking this seriously. Police are now involved. Airtasker need to take it seriously by banning this worker. My whole family is now affected. I also had to pay extra for someone else to disinfect and complete the incorrect job. No help From airtasker

Great site for bringing those in need with those with the right skills together
I’ve been a member for about 6 years as a both a poster and tasker. It’s a great way to find help when you don’t have the time or right skills to do something, or have time and expertise to help those who need assistance.

Taskers experience
Airtasker is a great platform to earn money however the fees are actually quite expensive which apparently covers insurance although if a tasker did damage something or small they require $1000 excess from the tasker and does try and encourage tasker to settle for damages which basically makes insurance fees pointless
But if you are a good worker and careful and get to platinum tier you can make the platform beneficial

Ripped off, no protection from airtasker.
I Completed a task, delivering some shopping to a tasker. Spent my own money to get the goods. Tasker provided airtasker with a fraudulent card. Wasn't paid by airtasker or offered any protection. Do not use.

A shame how they look after businesses
If a client decide to not pay you, it's fine for them, they don't care. Or you have to OBLIGATE the client to release the payment in front of you, or you will never see the money in your account, doesn't matter how many evidences you have about the job done.

Great opportunities for work and cash
Have always enjoyed using airtasker. Occasionally clunky but usually u can get tasks assigned quite quickly. Many messages are wasted asking for more details as often posters don’t realise the facts needed for accurate quotes. Perhaps templates could change ?

Extortion
It's simply a message board app that take 22% of every job. Greed run developers no doubt. It's good for finding people but could be done tenfold cheaper or could run ads to minimize cost to users

Fee amount taken out too high
Fees subtracted are too high. Sometimes tasks aren’t even worth completing by the time the fees are taken out. Also jobs nowhere near me also come up in my search even though I have specified I’m only interested in tasks close by. Means time wasted scrolling through it all.

An excellent way to conduct small-time/freelance businesses.
Airtasker is very straightforward, easy to use and trustworthy. This platform allows individuals to earn a side income and/or receive help for their daily obstacles. This platform also allows you to choose who you would like to co-operate with. Simply click their profiles to see who suits you best!

Great App but could be better
Easy to post and get assigned to tasks but task fees tend to take taskers but surprise. It helps to keep doing tasks and build up a reputation as this makes getting more tasks easier. It is a great way to connect people with a need, to people with the skills and who are able to help with tasks.

Don't take working on Airtasker as a serious job!
If you are working on Airtasker, you have to know they are very strict about their rules, and if you make some simple mistakes on writing comments, they will restrict your account and leave you jobless.

this could be a better service
in most cases people have no idea about the fees charged from airtaster to the person doing the task. it would be more easy for your clients to understand why the bid is higher then original offer if the understood the fees more. maybe an option for requesting a quote and a fee apply to both parties. then trades would use your site more.

After posting an ad on this interface for (with my set price) - "I need dash cam installation" of course I received various " Taskers" posting over and above my price. I had to change my ad that my price was firm due to my circumstances.

Hi, we had an Aircon installed 2 months ago. It is not cooling properly. What's the warranty period for airtasker jobs?
1 answer
Airtasker S.Airtasker
Hi Karin, thanks for your query. Once a task has been completed and the Poster releases payment, this serves as a confirmation that the task has been completed to requirements, hence, the task contract ends.
Airtasker's role is to serve as a platform enabling users to post tasks and other users to make offers on those tasks. Except for liability in relation to any Non-excludable Condition, the Airtasker Service is provided on an "as is" basis, and without any warranty or condition, express or implied.
As the Tasker is an independent service provider, they may provide a certain type of warranty for work done. You may consider contacting the Tasker directly about the matter. If you need further assistance, please get in touch with our support team via support.airtasker.com.
