Excellent
I would just like to congratulate Aldi on their stores. I usually shop at the Banksia Grove store, though sometimes I do visit other ones. It took me a while to get used to the concept, but the staff is friendly and the prices are good. I also converted one friend to into an Aldi fan.

Cheap products that don’t last
I brought a gazebo lasted less than 3 weeks. Had a tiny bit of rain in south Australia and it crumbled to the ground. I had additional supports as was near my pool and still collapsed. Cheap nasty products. No refund as they refuse to give me one! Cheap quality stuff will never buy anything from Aldi

Shop at Aldi for cheap prices that's it
The veggies & fruit are terrible even after the marketing campaign about "take another look..ha ha" I can't tell you how many times I could have taken a photo of their off produce. Apart from that the day old bread! So awesome thanks, but the gold star goes to the penne pesto chicken pasta in the refrigerator section, it turns fluorescent green the next day awesome!! Kind of like eating something radioactive.... We all want to eat fluro chicken pasta. Special mention to the lack of customer service, when they push down an aisle & you have to move for them, good luck with customer service!. They wouldn't know what it means...

Terrible experiences at aldi
Shop at aldi on occasion when they have specials or certain items my partner likes.
Often decide to try new things when there because the price is right or i'm intrigued by a product.
Most recently, tried the elmsbury sausage rolls.
DISGUSTING
Worst things ive tasted ever, doesn't compare to any other sausage rolls you'd buy ANYWHERE.
Not only this, but they made me physically sick. Upset stomach (and thats not all) for hours following eating these...
I thought it may have been a coincidence at first and tried them again another night.
Not a co...Read more
incidence.. Will never buy these again and would really like to see them removed from aldi's product list. This event has turned me off buying most things at aldi and now I never try new things that aldi has to offer. Hope this review will save someone else from having a terrible experience..

Saved thousands over the years!
I have been shopping at Aldi since they first opened at Brandon Park S/C. I have saved thousands. The quality of the products; the friendly staff and the amazing savings all add up to every experience being a good one!

very small lobster indeed.
I bought the whole cooked Canadian lobster for $20. It made 1 roll for an adult for 1 meal! I thought it would have been able to make a lobster mornay for 4 people. The lobster was so small it looked more like a large "shrimp".

Electrical items not good
The returns policy on electrical is a nightmare. I just wanted my money back on a microwave, it was playing up after 9 months. Had to download a form take it to a P.O. to send it to Sydney from Brisbane!!! Could not be bothered, so took the microwave to the tip, cut my losses and bought a recocognised brand, from an australian electrical outlet with a easier returns policy Never again!!

Produce rotten by sell by date!
NO such thing as customer SERVICE in this company!
Bought a prepacked salad mix and when I went to use it 2 days later, it was rotten. Sent an email to them with VERY clear pics showing the rotten produce, UPC Code and sell by Date. I did this on the 6th, sell by date was the 5th. should not be rotten ONE DAY past sell by date and NOT OPENED before. Got a snarky, scripted response. It is insanely ridiculous to expect someone to take a taxi to return the item to the store, would cost more than the item did. And include the receipt? WHO saves the...Read more

Solar lights not good in heat
I bought 10 of the Aldi solar lights thinking they looked awesome. They do look fantastic except.... after a very hot day, i found them all 'sleeping' the next day :) The plastic poles had all melted and every solar light was laying day. Quite funny to see actually. But a bit of waste of money. I had to take all the long poles, disconnect them and leave the one short pole so now they aren't what i wanted them for. They use to go all along my driveway, now they are just scattered throughout my garden. Plus 3 of them stopped working 2 weeks af...Read more
ter use, and the battery cant be changed. So, if you want little shortie solar lights, these are ok but if you want the tall ones....dont buy. And, like an idiot, i did not keep my receipt so i cannot take them back. One does not expect to have to return solar lights :(Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Why do people shop here?
Stopped to pick up a couple of items and this is what I found: No baskets, no store directory, no self check out and only two registers open with long lines - and then wanted to charge extra for using a credit card.
I had last shopped at Aldi a couple of years back and thought things may have changed, seems not.

Cherry Liqueurs Dark Chocolate, Christmas Special
These chocolates are only available before Christmas. They have a use-by date until May so I purchased quite a few boxes. It was already before Christmas that the liquid has evaporated, the chocolate is sunken and white and they taste terrible. I have another 6 boxes, but to return them, I need the receipt which I don't have anymore of course as they were purchased weeks ago. NOT IMPRESSED at all.

Minimum Manning - Maximum Profit
Aldi prices are great on a few items - however - they are minimum manned shops - which means they employ stuff all Aussies per store - thereby maximising their profits. The Checkouts are absolutely SHITHOUSE !!!! Don't be fooled by this 4th Reich Store. Shop at Woollies and Coles who employ more than 5 people per shop !

The took a really great product awsy
For a long time, I found a wonderful personal hygiene product called Olivia pads with wings. I used the super pads, they fit perfectly and at a really great price.
Now there are none and they have been replaced with Libra, and Libra don't do the job, they are either too bulky to wear or too short to protect you against leaking.
Please bring back Olivia pads.

ALDI Carnes Hill..Disappointed
ALDI Carnes Hill mistreated me today, refused to refund for the faulty chairs. Asked me to come back later or go to the store I’ve purchased from. Disappointed and want a apology from the particular store for wasting my time and effort

Won't buy lobster tails in garlic butter again
Bought three packs of two for dinner party. Three were huge three were small. Had to cook separately as small ones would be overcooked long before large ones were close to being done. Spoilt dinner party. Not good Aldi.

Will never buy Aldi again. Bought chocolate volcano pudding, dry, no chocolate sauce.
This is the worst thing I have tasted, how car Aldi get away with this. It was so dry. No chocolate sauce. Followed instructions to the letter. Should be labelled how to kill a dinner party#

Stock at Aldi Glenquarie NSW
Since I have been shopping at Aldi Glenquarie I am feed up with the way they stock their shelfs and freezers.
for example I like Aldi's ice blocks so every time I shop, which is once a week I would go to the freezer where they store the ice blocks but of cause no stock in the freezer, so everyday after that I would make a special trip to Aldi to pick up ice blocks after four days I decided to ask one of the staff, it looks like they have sold out for the day that's what he told me, I don't believe that, I told him and then I explained that it...Read more

Bought a churros maker following instructions churros wont cook in side can anybody help?

Contact Aldi. Don't expect them to be much help though. They will find every reason to wiggle out of making good on it.
contact Aldi but hold your breath
Everyone should hold their breath, engage their brain cells first, then come to the same conclusion any reasonably educated person would come to. That is, Aldi, just like around 95% of retailers, do not manufacture the products they sell and have no responsibility under Commonwealth law when the product comes with a warranty from the manufacturer or distributer. I.e.: if you purchase an LG TV from Harvey Norman, the warranty is with LG, therefore you chase LG for the repair or technical assistance. This applies even if the product carries the retailers own branding, however the enclosed brochure clearly states whom the manufacturer/distributer is for warranty or technical service. Retailers are only obliged to accept returned products if they don't meet a "fit for purpose", are "dead on arrival" and fail within the warranty period. On this basis, the retailer will provide a refund and they will receive a credit from the manufacturer/distributer.

Is the scampi (frozen) any good?

Elmer provided the totally useless answer of "go in and have a look". Sigh - some people miss the point.
Aldi's Scampi is very good and comes from Denmark. Buy Aussie prawns, similar taste and better value.
Taste buds differ. Why not try them yourself and share so we dont waste any money?
