The instruction manual states that "ovenproof cookware must be used for air-frying. Place your food in an
ovenproof baking dish or use the supplied grill tray. Place it on the glass tray." Any ovenproof cookware (such as most pyrex) should be safe when using the air-fryer function.

can I put a pyrex in the microwave to air fry?
The Sterling 3-in1 microwave was in the catalog a couple of weeks ago at price $199, but wherever we went to Aldi they told us they never got any. Is this product still available? We were told it would eventually get to the Aldi stores, is this so?
When using the air fryer function it always goes into Automode. How can I manually set a time in air fryer mode?
Hi Neal,
When using the air fryer function on this microwave, there is no option to set a custom time. We recommend keeping a close eye on your food (especially if you are frying smaller amounts of food than the set weight for each function), and stopping the fryer when the food has been crisped to your liking.
The microwave includes nine different air fryer programs, with times ranging from 18 minutes (165 g prawns, H7 or 200 g vegetables, H8) to 30 minutes (300 g frozen chips, H1). You can select these options using the setting knob.
All of the air fryer functions (H1-H9) use convection heat (230°C) and include preheating.
This microwave also includes a "crispy grill" function (press the air fry/crispy grill button twice - C1 will flash on the display), which can be used to cook dishes with a crispy crust or top (like cordon bleu, lasagna, open toast melt or pie/tart). The crispy grill includes 4 options, but the time can also be customised (depending on the weight of your food). The C1 program ranges from seven minutes to thirteen minutes, the C2 program ranges from nine to fifteen, the C3 program ranges from 6:30 to 8:30, and the C4 ranges from seven to thirteen minutes. We recommend having a look at the manual to see if any of these options appeal to you and so you can have a closer look at the specifics.
