Possible Design/manufacturing fault
The throttle contol unit has fractured where the circlip holding the throttle cable is inserted between 2 flanges. You cannot control the the throttle properly ~ You cannot perform an emergency stop ~ this is dangerous!
Where do I get a replacement???
Purchased in at Aldi Northpoint.

Still unsure if I made the right choice
At face value it seems like a decent mower, but a lot of small flaws add up to a terrible mower. The biggest fault is that the catcher doesn’t fill up properly. It will start dropping clumps of grass when the catcher is barely a quarter full. The electric start is great and the battery lasts for quite a while but a big problem is that the key barrel is poor quality and it’s kept running in the off position a few times now. Because of the catcher issue I’m forced to use it with mulching attachments instead which isn’t too bad but a frustrating compromise.

From bad to worse - given time it will fail you!!
OK bought this mower 22 months ago. Already had the throttle lever replaced twice.
Now it stops after about 1/3 of the lawn being mowed (not that big a lawn - on a quarter acre block). Not sure why -over heats?? Starts again the next day.
Runs quite roughly - checked oil is fine. Filter been cleaned.
Has probably had at most 40 hours of use. (Surely doesn't need service that soon)
Maybe it needs spark plugs checking (I can't do that) but really for the hassle it's given me I recommend buying a better quality mower.
The grass catcher doesn't fit neatly on, the design is very poor.

Powerful reliable and inexpensive
I have had this mower over 5 years now big mower that is easy to start every time never had an issue with any part of it. The self drive feature makes it feel like a much smaller mower to maneuver. I don't use the catcher as the mulcher feature works so well even if I let the grass get a little long. The only thing I don't like is the engine cut off if you let the handle go. I know it is a safety feature but it means you can't stop to move an obstacle without having to restart (which is easy). Just an unnecessary feature.

Bits break easily
I bought this petrol mower from Aldi and the first thing to break was the pull cord handle and then the primer button split so it's not able to be started until that is fixed. A fair bit of hassle in a lawnmower that is less than a year old.

Cheap and Cheap
Very weak lawn mower. Grass doesn't flow into catcher. Can't control speed when you need to empty catcher. Can't cut normal height grass and need to go back and forth to get a good clean level. You pay for what you get. Cheap but starts and runs ok. Easy to operate
Lawn Mower - Gardenlline4 Stroke, 140cc
Very disappointing item from Aldi as I was a fan and used to tell how much i loved Aldi but this mower GARDENLINE 4 STROKE 140CC, as follows, on assembling, a missing knob for handles, had to borrow from another mower, catcher almost impossible to put together needs a strong man with pliers or something to get slots lined up, blade plate not level one side of mowed is scalped white otherside not best but OK cut, and it will not stop unless it runs out of petrol. . Mower is a complete dud and not worth the money now matter how cheap.

The mower started first pull which pleased me. Putting on the grass catcher was fiddley. Spring loaded door that covers to opening where the grass discharges has to be pulled right up in order to hook the catcher on. I can see this door being plastic, breaking. As I was mowing I noticed after a short time that the mower was leaving a trail of cut grass. On removing the catcher I saw that it was almost empty. Where the mown grass is supposed to discharge was blocked. Upon lifting the mover grass fell from underneath. A most disappointing pe...
Read morerformance. The mower collapses down for easy storeage but unfortunately the handle when folded extends beyond the mower thus requiring a bigger space than the overall length of the mower. I would be interested when GARDENLINE discontinued this product? Has Aldi been selling a product they knew had user problems?Disappointing....
This unit has failed, The gearbox no longer works and I'm struggling to get parts for it...Disappointing....It is a large unit and a little hard to maneuver but was working ok, cuts ok, Can be hard to start.Disappointing..
Petrol leaks from Aldi
I have used my $129 Aldi mover 4 times now and the motor is very week, as it stalls on me at least 3 times (even on a high setting). Aldi should now better than to sell bad products, It's should not be purchased as the petrol leaks when the motor is not running.
Inexpensive, but I am sure it will be more trouble than the savings you make on the product
Very weak motor and petrol leaks
Same here....changed my mind also!

Questions & Answers
It appears replacement blades are no longer available as manufacturer closed down. Is there another brand of blade that would fit this model.
I have been after a blade too, but no luck. Core services do them but no stock. So surely we should have some help as aldi are selling this mower again.
