A great friend.
My house is quite large, downstairs is tiled, and sometime I direct via remote control "HUGO" where it needs cleaning the most. I am quite happy with the amount of dust it picks up in between regular vacuuming, upstairs it's carpeted with a very short pile, and I was amazed to see how much dust again it accumulated in its bin. It's not a traditional vacuum more of a electric sweeper, but for the price it does a great job, I am happy with it.

Compact Vacuum Cleaner
Vacuum is a gutsy, powerful appliance that is bagless. It's very convenient to empty contents in the rubbish without having to make sure I have purchased disposable bags. The appliance is relatively easy to disassemble and clean and put back together again. Very economical to purchase and have had no problem with it.

Great for the price point
Our first robot vac and it does quite a good job. Brought 2, 1 for upstairs, 1 for down. Easy to setup, easy to empty. If you havent used one of the bots before, you will need to reconsider what you leave laying around around on the floor or stuffed under cupboards etc, which isnt a bad thing. Cords, cloths, blankets hanging off couches and light/frilly mats ... not ideal. Those are controllable. Only annoying bit is that the common standard chromed round bases on those very common barstools / gas-lift chairs ... it usually gets stuck!

Good one
Good one go for it
do its job on time. Does a good job
not much attention required
Go for it. I still recommend Aldi to enable smart phone app control for this product.
If they do that, it will be great. Unbeatable for the price they offer. Thumbs up

Good little vacuum
If you have tiles or floorboards at home this little vacuum will be your best friend. It basically cleans your floor for you without hassel. There's always a build up of dust, dirt or crumbs throughout the day and getting robo to go around twice a day keeps my floors spotless!

It is not a vacuum! Buy it only if it is for fun
I have to admit that it is collecting some dust. However it is not of course an adequate "Vacuum". It gets stuck, can't find its way to charger, brushes get strangled with dog hair and, moreover, it scratches the floor. This is the most annoying! I have polished hardwood floors and when I saw those scratches I was very upset.

This IS the droid you are looking for.
I've had one of these for over 2 years and it is still going strong. My place is hardwood floors with a few rugs situated throughout but this guy has no problem with getting around and getting the job done to a reasonable degree.
It does have its limitations which, for the most part, are inherent in all robot vacuums anyway.
Firstly, get it out of your head that this (or any, probably) will replace your normal vacuum cleaner; it won't. It simply doesn't have the suction power to deal with deep-down dirt in carpet/rugs so you will need to p...Read more
eriodically tend to those yourself. Secondly, it is a machine running a computer program. As a programmer myself, I knew that it couldn't possibly have the depth to effectively deal with any and all situations (like a sock or a random cable - mine has been known to get tangled in both), But, thankfully, its software allows it to ADEQUATELY deal with any and all situations. As per above, you will still need to tend to some things yourself. Some other little foibles include its path-finding; it will often miss one area entirely but will hit another several times. It will sometimes need help getting back to the base station because it appears to need to 'see' the base in order to get there. This forces it into some sort of hunting mode but again, path-finding is an issue here and he can sometimes get stuck looking in the same area over and over (if it were me, I'd have coded it to hunt for a wall then track along it until it sees the station - like dealing with a labyrinth). The battery in mine is starting to lose capacity but I have had this for over 2 years so, as far as batteries go, its not been a bad haul. Luckily, replacement parts are available (batteries are generally a 1 year warranty only, despite the 3 year warranty on the machine as a whole - this is industry standard) That all being said, it is a great product to have especially for the price at which you can have it. As long as you don't expect it to be some Jetsons-esque robotic maid, it will serve you well.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Does the job but broke within three months
I like this vacuum, I just wish that it was more robust! Within a few weeks of purchasing it, the brushes stopped rotating. But it came with a three year warranty, so I sent it back and about a week later it was delivered back to me in working order. It does some odd things though sometimes that make me wonder if it's about to break down again. For the moment it's still going though. I probably wouldn't purchase this model again, I'd fork put for one of the more expensive brands in the hope that it'd work a bit better. But for a budget model this does the job.

Good till brushes stopped working
I was very happy with this purchase and the amount of dirt it picked up. I did have to return and it was repaired due to the brushes no longer rotating. This took about 4 weeks from sending off till it came back to me. The brushes have stopped working again which was disappointing and i have received a total refund on returning the product.

If one accepts this little Robo like it is without it should... or it should not... then it is five
We are elderly and appreciate the help we get from this little machine. Yes we also experienced the failure of the two brushes, called the service, brought it there and picked it up a week later repaired on warranty - no problem. But yes there was a problem afterwards: Robo now lost the dust compartment while working. Service sent us a new dust compartment - all fixed!!! We have no rugs and no carpets. We prepare the place before we start the robo and take everything out of its way that could stop it (takes 5 minutes). Then we leave for three h...Read more
ours and when we come back the place is spick & span and the battery is completely empty. We do that upstairs and downstairs (40 sqm each) once a week, we do it with a shark vacuum cleaner once a week too. After the shark we use an Aldi steam cleaner and that is enough! We reload the totally empty Robo battery with a timer exactly for three hours. We never had battery trouble. By the way when I checked what models there are on the market Stirling was the only one capable of working for three hours in a row, the second was the Miele for 4 times the price.... I also appreciate the allergy filter, it seems that over the time Robo takes away the dust-mite and pollen etc, my hay-fever attacks are really rare now., Robo is really heavy duty and I would not want it lighter and the noise is OK. I am looking forward and hope that Stirling will surprise us one day with a follow up with a guidance system even if I think what it does now covers in 3 hours on 40 sqm every point in reach.Similar opinion? Excellent helper in the home almost a member of our family.
Someone gave this to us as a gift last summer. Over then his battery drained every time you don't charge it. But then we left it in the garage for a long time, and then when we turned it on the battery was not draining anymore which was good. Then we had a new problem. The brushes sometimes stop running in a middle of a cleaning progress. If it does that return it to the docking station and take it out again. Then the brushes should run now during operation. If it happens again, repeat the following progress. It does get stuck along with an obstacle sometimes, but everything else is good.
Good luck guys.

designed to fail
Why would an item that is designed to return to charge until the next use have a ni mh battery in stead of a lithium battery is it just so the battery is guaranteed to fail if my husband didn't have a machine to cycle the battery to void the memory created by the poor battery selection made during the planning part of the design process it would never work again

Single Bloke Big House - Dual Robot Vac Ballet
Best appliances I've bought in ages (I've now had them over a year). You need to have some common sense. It took a while for me to learn to clear floor first, and remove troublesome objects that the robots could ride up on and get stuck. Initially I had to empty them after every session, but now the dust is under control I empty them every couple of days. You need to be a bit of a tinkerer to get at the main brush bearings where after a while I found hair can tightly wind around the spindle and jam the roller. However, there is a quick release ...Read more
tab which allows you to remove a little rubber spacer and extract the hair (be careful not to lose the tiny bearing inside the rubber spacer). Fun part is when they both meet - they kind of pirouette around each other for a while.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Definitely recommend this cleaner
Very happy with this vacuum. It does get stuck in my shaggy rug but I didn't expect it to do that anyway. Make sure everything is picked up as I find it sucks up crayons extremely well. I make sure I clean it after every use. Had it for 4 days now best $160 spent

Works well but has trouble finding its way home
The machine is great, it works really well. We have tiled floors in living spaces and carpet in bedrooms and lounge areas. A lot of dust and stuff comes in under the doors so need to be sweeping often. The little vacuum goes around over carpets and picks up all the loose dust. Obviously it is battery powered and not the power of a 1500 W machine, but does a great job.
It sweeps the loose stuff into the centre and another sweeping brush helps sweep it into the vacuum and little hopper.
It is designed to climb up on to carpets which it does w...Read more

The worst vacuum I've EVER had. Don't buy!
When we bought this thing a year ago, for a few weeks it was great. It did often get stuck on furniture, but we just dealt with that. Over time, it has proven itself to be a complete waste of money. It gets stuck on everything. Even when there's nothing to get stuck on (like getting over a thin rug!!). It has to stay on the charger continuously or it loses all its charge. If it gets stuck on something it keeps going back to the same spot, despite me moving it across the room (like it can't give up on that one stupid bit?!). I've even tried movi...Read more
ng it to another room but it just keeps coming back. It falls down stairs and out of doors, despite being supposedly smart enough to know not to go to those areas. It goes over the same pots continuously and completely misses most of the room as a result. I've found the only use for it now is to leave it continuously charging in a cupboard and then putting it in a basically empty room (like a bathroom) when I need to give it a clean - i let it go and shut the door, wait for the battery to go flat and hope it's managed to clean it adequately. It's so useless, we can actually vacuum our whole house thoroughly with our dyson in the time it takes to half-heartedly clean an average sized room. If i could give negative stars i totally would. It's that bad. :(Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent Machine
I have got it only for 2 days now but i am really happy as far as performance goes. On first day i charged this for 8 hours and then left to clean a messy carpet. After 2 hours i found all cleaned and excellent results ... 2 bed room + hall. it does not make much noise you can watch TV at the same time. I saw reviews where machine stopped working after sometime so will will update my review after few months again to share how my bot is doing.
Otherwise i think it's good value for money and you help your back by not using traditional vacuum cleaners :)

Good cleaner. Side cleaning brushes stopped working after 4 weeks.
Have had this cleaner for 4 weeks. When working it cleans well. Recently the side cleaning brushes stopped working. I cleaned the product as per the instruction manual however this did not fix the issue. Will either call customer service or will return. Would recommend this product if it wasn't for this fault.

Love this little machine!
I have 20 m of carpet and about 30m of cork tiles. It is a fantastic machine. It cleans well and is not too noisy. I love it. The amount of dirt and fluff this little machine picks up is incredible. It is the most useful household gadget I have bought in years.

Happy but have a problem!!!
I'm very happy with my new robot but today the two outside brushes stopped functioning. I contacted Customer Service this morning and after waiting for 5 minutes to speak to someone I eventually left a message but to date have not heard from them. I'm hoping they contact me tomorrow.
