It’s becoming a daily habit
I wanted to not like you as much as I do Amazon. I understand you sell products as well as providing a platform for other sellers, and with that comes bumps in the road from product to delivery. But every issue has been ironed out and paved the way for smooth sailing. Competitive prices, an ever growing selection and providing a service that is exactly what you state is a rare thing. Especially when it comes to online shopping. All customers adding reviews is icing on the cake. I think Australia is very happy to gave you as part of our family.

Disappointing
Bought an ultrasonic Jewelry cleaner free postage, it was up sold to be something it certainly wasn’t.
The quality was very cheap and, it wasn’t mentioned that it didn’t come with an Australian standard chord, instead a horrible travel adapter.
It wasn’t worth the money I had spent $113.64.
Dealing with the seller was infuriating as he wanted me to accept the cost of sending it to China, when the item originated from N.S.W.

'Free Trial' is a lie
Logged two complaints with Amazon and spent some time talking to their accounts group about charging my business card with a membership that was supposed to be a free trial.
I signed up on the 30th of January and cancelled on the same day, but I was charged on the 31st of January $6.99 (the membership fee) by AMZNPRIMEAU MEMBERSHIP SYDNEY.
They refuse to give me a refund because it's not showing up on their system. I'm tossing up if I could be bothered taking it to the AU Ombudsman.
Don't start a 'free' trial with Amazon. I'll likely cancel my personal membership with Amazon Prime over this as well.

Do Not Sign Up To Be A Seller! Warning!!
I originally signed up to become a seller. After realising all the rings I had to run through to start selling my products I decided not to go ahead and contacted the customer service team to cancel my account.
2 years and numerous phone calls later I'm still being charged monthly fees!!! Every time I contact I'm advised it will be fixed up however it never is!! Absolute robbers!!!
Stick to Ebay, Etsy. Customer service is disgusting and incompetent. Warning do not give Amazon your account details to sign up.

Never joined any membership with Amazon. Only bought a SD card. Been charged 2 month membership fees, AUD6.99 each month. But never received anything from Amazon to advise about membership,
and never received any invoice about the charges. I have received a call to my mobile from Amazon said that he is from Amazon, and said they are going to charge my credit card for Amazon membership. Simple to use, works perfect
Worth every cent. Does a good job sharpening kitchen knives. I'm sure some pro sets could sharpen this under the grind stone or whetstone, but for the size and ease of use, you can't bet it for most kitchens.

What a joke
Stick to eBay, far bette customer service and products. and don’t touch amazon prime / what a joke, doesn’t compare to foxtel or Netflix, so many times they delete or disable your login

They don't care about customers
First bought one TV, when received, screen was broken then apply for a replacement. Second one was broken again. No one even came to pick my first damaged TV within 11 days so far but Amazone said over the phone someone will be at my place with in 1 - 3 working days!
Another product I bought was for $15.99. Seller provided misleading information and sent me wrong item than the photos. Tried to return and Amazone is asking me to go to post office to return to get the refund. Where is velue of my time?
Ebay is far better than Amazone, they will ask photo from you and if you claim is right then straightway they will refund you. No more hassle for you. Never gonna buy from Amazone again.

Returns system flawed
Ordered a travel adaptor. Arrived quickly in 3 days to Perth.
Item wrong colour.
Selected “return” on the website and received an email with instructions on how to return it.
Bloke at Parcelpoint said I needed a printed label even though the email stated they would print one out. He eventually worked it out and I said goodbye to the parcel.
Weeks went by without any response from Amazon.

It’s ok
I’ve purchased a few things off amazon. Sometimes it’s great and the package will arrive on time. However it can also be a bit misleading and dodgy. It’s very convenient but not my first option.

I brought products from amazon...got email they arrived, sent to chemist to pick up, not post office. I took annual leave to leave work early to get there in time to be told parcel is not there..went home..rang amazon, with what I could understand of the lady from overseas which was very little she said it is there, go back..this went on for 5 nights, many hours of my hard earned annual leave wasted. ter I get an email from amazon saying items returned overseas, that was 2022...in Jan 2020 I had to ask for my money to be returned..disgusting. Then weeks later I get another email saying items reposted even though I did not authorise this. I again wasted annual leave, went to chemist and told parcel does not exist..rang amazon, again could barely understand the person, they said they made a mistake,..I didn't understand what they were saying after this so I hung up. No care in the world, seem to enjoy wasting customers time. I have since cancelled amazon prime tv and will NEVER buy from amazon again, Australia or overseas. UPDATE - Amazon Australia deliver! My package arrived by Fastway on a Saturday. Albeit, the courier threw it from his van to the front of my building but that is not Amazon's fault and after an irate phone call from me, they have made a report about the courier.
NOTE: the Amazon rep candidly told me that the majority of Amazon AU international orders are handled by Fastway and that there is no way to change this preference. Amazon are doing the best they can!

hs. My Amazon orders total to a minumum of 3/week. I haven't had a problem..... YET. One item was delivered to an incorrect address - Amazon refunded within 24 hours and gave me store credit. Awesome. But now for the test. My biggest order yet and coming from Amazon US. The items were tracking fine..... until they got to Australia. Lo and behold - Fastway Couriers has the packages. My items were onboard for delivery since yesterday. An irate phone call to Amazon later, demanding a full refund due to Fastway Couriers being used, resulted in them contacting Fastway to give specific delivery instructions. I have been assured that a full refund will be issued should Fastway not meet their delivery obligations. Poor Website
Using the Amazon website, keep getting "SORRY Something went wrong on our end".
When a commerce site's website is so badly tested that errors like this come up. And when that website's owners are so complacent to not offer a way of reporting the error it is a sign to go elsewhere. Which is what I did.

Be very careful buying online
I went to Amazon.com.au expecting to get an electrical appliance suitable for Australia.
I read rave reviews of the product, not realizing that those reviews were not from the Amazon Australia webpage. Now I reread and see that they are reviews by people living in other countries.
After receiving the appliance I went to plug it in only to find the plug was 2 pronged and straight whereas my powerpoints are 3 pronged and slanted. Next day went to hardware store to get an adaptor. Brought it home and read the instructions: switch your appliance ...Read more
to 240V before using. Look at the appliance, no such switch. Go back to the webpage to discover from comments written by Australians (written after I ordered my appliance) that we also have to purchase a step-down transformer. Clearly, others had been inconvenienced as well, and bothered to sign up to Amazon to write the comments. Quite frankly, Amazon.com.au should ensure that the products being sold through their site are suitable and ready for use by Australians. I have now been told by the hardware store that many Aussies have been inconvenienced (to say the least) by electrical products bought online. I can't rate the product itself. unable to cancel an order
I ordered 2 books and received one. For the other one I received a message that delivery date is moved between late February and March, I wanted to cancel the book but System was not letting me and said to contact Customer Service. When I pressed that button I was back to the same page where I was not able to cancel the book. I could not find my way to contact them in any way and all I can do is wait patiently for the book to arrive. That is very bad. The same book (only in paperback, I ordered HB) is advertised from today 15/01 on "Target" Australia for $16. What a waste! This is my last buy from Amazon AU.

Warning: do not buy electrical or large goods from amazon
An air purifier sold by “authentic Australia” vis Amazon was not wired for Australia! The instruction manual forbade use outside country of manufacture! return required drop off 40 minutes away, and amazon staff were worse than useless. Hours on the phone to people who were”very sorry” and could “ definitely help me with that”. Don’t be conned. If you are in Australia, don’t buy anything from amazon, particularly amazon 3 rd parties that is not small enough to return by post. And definitely not anything electrical. The “ A to Z guarantee” is nonsense. Be warned

Check all of the correspondence I forwarded to you and the mountain of chat transcript. I’ve messaged the seller as you have and nothing. I would also like to know why are you still allowing this seller to trade? Is it Amazon policy to allow sellers to offer goods with no intention of ever sending them. Log in to your Amazon account, click Customer Service at the top, click Need More Help at the bottom, select your order -> Where's my stuff -> Shipment is late, then click Chat, and let them know that your order has not arrived and the seller is unresponsive. They will help you out.
