Horrific customer service at Marsden Park store avoid this store
This was a serious incident at the Marsden Park Anaconda Store in the morning at approximately 10.30am just after they opened.
I went there with my husband and children to make some purchases (bought some gumboots that were on sale). We were the only shoppers in the whole store (it was very quiet). When my husband went to the registers to pay, I exited with my children to wait for him outside the store. The very young male attendant stopped me for a bag check as the beeper kept going off with every person leaving the store. I complied and open...
ed to him my very small handbag to show him the contents. I only had a few items in there such as keys mobile and wallet and a sanitary pad, tissues nothing else, after all I only had a very small bag. There was clearly nothing else in there. I have always been a law abiding citizen that has never stolen in my life and was happy to comply. Unfortunately this young man was not satisfied and was very rude to me, telling me "I don't believe you, you must have stolen something, show me your bag again". I told him I had nothing and showed him my bag again thoroughly and I told him "see, I only have my wallet mobile and keys nothing else, there must be something wrong with your buzzer, I have done nothing wrong". He was very angry and agitated at that point and proceeded to tell me " you must have something hiding, your kids have probably taken something or you have something small hiding in your bag I don't believe you, stay here I must call my manager and security". I have done nothing suspicious and there was nothing in my behaviour, looks or anything that warranted suspicion. I told him "you have no right to hold me, I have done nothing wrong and have nothing, my children have no pockets, nor do i. I then emptied everything out of my bag onto the floor and told him "see there is absolutely nothing but a pad, keys, mobile and wallet, this is very humiliating and unnecessary, I have done nothing wrong, you searched my bag twice and you can see there is nothing in there plus I have emptied it out. You cant hold me against my will and there is no reason to call management. He kept telling me to stay there and don't leave. The female manager came over after hearing the commotion and I told her what he had done to me, then before she could say anything, my husband came over from the counter after paying and told both of them "what is your problem mate? leave her alone she has nothing what are you doing to her. Then the manager said I could gather my things from the floor and go. No apology, nothing. I am beyond furious, I was singled out and treated like a criminal because I was the only customer there at the time, I had done nothing wrong or suspicious and I was held against my will for a significant period of time (approximately 15 minutes), which is illegal and criminal. I expect the young boy and the manager on duty to be disciplined over this, I filled in the online feedback form and Im waiting for a response. I retain my right and may exercise that right to have him criminally charged for false imprisonment and assault, as is my legal right to do so. His treatment of me was excessive, rude, aggressive and accusationary with no evidence or suspicion, my children were frightened of this boy accusing them and me of everything under the sun even after we had proven without a doubt we had nothing. It was disgusting and humiliating, I have never ever experienced that before in my life. I expect a full apology and action to be taken in response to this incident. I was a regular shopper there, spending considerable amounts of money and now I will never ever return.
Service and misleading advertising
Went to anaconda in Rockingham on Sunday. Was prepared to spend nearly $1000 on products. Kayak package sold out. Guess we were late but understood. Wanted double swag but couldn’t match another store gentlemen very helpful. Then wanted to buy $500 fridge/freezer for car on sale. To find out display was damaged broken plug. Told was an issue with plugs on other models. We were still happy to buy. Then told had none in stock. So I said if they had none for sale should take off shelf. Misleading customers. Manager was aggressive and rude. Will never shop there again. Shall take my business elsewhere. Was also told closest other store was midland. Not accurate.
Bad experience refilling LPG Gas at Anaconda Burleigh Store
Went to refuel a 9kg LPG Gas bottle, payed an overpriced $25 for which i was told to wait 30min . I happily waited and went to see if it was refilled to find the not so customer complient retail staff tell me your gas was ready and pointed to where it was.
Picked it up went home to find out it was the WRONG GAS bottle mine did not have the swap and go logo but with the correct receipt attached to the bottle, it was STILL EMPTY. I would of appreciated a simple 30 second callback from a staff to say they have given me the wrong gas bottle as...they had my contact details on their system . I would of understood if they were busy but it did not seem like it on that day. Not happy to waste time and money Im going back tommorow to request to speak to a manager for some constructive feedback. Update: 2/19/20 - Went back to the store next day to talk to the retail manager about this situation. I provided the receipt attached to the empty bottle which indicated the time of purchase, staff who served me and account details. I was asked by the Manager "do you have the original receipt given to you when you made your purchase? . I repied " i threw out the original receipt given to me but i have the identical receipt here which was attached to the bottle", assuming their system had a copy of it anyways. The manager went to check the surveillance after happily waiting for the result i was given a full gas bottle. I was told by the Manager that I indeed gave them a swap n go gas logo bottle. But I didnt it was another logo. I thanked the manager for their time and effort and left never to return to refill again at that store. What i learned:
Terrible customer service
Went into Anaconda store yesterday to buy a portable power pack, ready to spend over $300. Found the product on display but would have needed a staff member to get me one from storage to purchase. Three staff members were standing in a little distance and could see me looking at the battery, was there for at least 5 minutes trying to get their attention but they were too busy chatting among themselves. I just left frustrated. Will spend my money elsewhere, such bad service.

We went into buy a gazebo none were on display, and when we tried to open the cover and look, a young male ran up. He told us he had one. He did not offer any information. Everything is like pulling teeth. No information is ever volunteered. We did not get to look at it in anyway. We said we would take one and he just walked away. I thought he was going to help us get it to the register. No he just walked away. Did not even speak. Sale items did not have correct prices on them and things in the walkway have no prices on them at all. Wow!
I bought an electric bike $1000 went rusty withong a month of owning the bike not covered by warranty i rang and was told nothing could be done... wow i couldn't believe it i was so upset and angry i would rather shop somewhere else from now on
Bought online; tried to exchange in store.
Fast delivery, happy with online procedure. Sliders too big for kids. Son tried to exchange in Townsville store. Customer service was non existent and painful experience. Won't deal Anaconda again.
Delays and inconsistencies
Wouldnt exchange sizes but it took ten minutes for a manager to tell me that. The shop assistant scrutinised the item and commented on the fact that it had been a while since I bought it even though it was within the terms of exchange. Just check returns policy before you buy anything, including what constitutes swimwear, and be sure they adhere to it - either its the policy or its not.
Rude and unhelpful
Anaconda had a Black Friday sale on that started on the 27th of November and finished on the 2nd of December. I decided to buy the Waeco 50L fridge deal they had on sale for $599 plus the bag.
What got delivered to me was the 40L.
I tried calling and email head office for three days with no luck. Eventually I called my local store.
They said just being in the 40L and they will give me the right fridge I paid for.

Horrendous Service at Penrith Store
I wish there was an option for zero stars. I just visited this store today the 6th of November to exchange a Shimano fishing shirt from size L to M. When I first entered the store there was but one lady at the front counter who was preparing sales advertisements, after a while she acknowledged my presence right from the start I was made to feel like I was an inconvenience.
I had no receipt but I thought my order would be easy enough to search given that I provided my club membership, apparently my order was not on the system and I was told to ...call customer care which I did, I was told to wait 24 - 48 hours for receipts team to search for orders. I then provided a bank statement with the dates and amounts for the transaction clearly showing the item was purchased at this particular store. I was bounced around between 3 different team members, who, in-between taking personal phone calls and joking around with one another could not locate the order. At this stage I had waited patiently for over 45 minutes, growing increasingly frustrated I told them not to worry. Not once was I reassured or given any apologies for having to wait around for over an hour, on departure once expressing my frustration I was told "well you should have the receipt" and given cheeky smirks from the staff as I left. Apart from being highly unprofessional the staff were also poorly trained to handle what I would consider, based on my personal experiences with other retailers, a very simple task. I rarely get time to spare to take care of issues like this and in total I wasted 3 hours of my day commuting to and from and in store for what I believe should have been a straight forward 1 for 1 swap.
Anaconda West Gosford Manager is useless
Had numerous phone calls with [Name Removed] at the West Gosford store, and get no where. Doesn't return calls nor sort any issues. Purchased product which was faulty and get no where with them! Staff and management are terrible. Will not purchase from any Anaconda store again!
Wasted my time, bad experience
I called to mackay store to enquire about a stock of specific Bike, luckily it was on stock and they were happy to reserve it for me.
Went there to pay for it and pickup, waited for 30+ minutes and finally one of the staff brought my bike, but it was wrong size and women's bike instead. They claim they don't have stock and blah blah.
I asked if I can take display unit, another 10 minutes gone, and this lady wanted to charge me $25 extra as a assemble fee.

Innaloo Anaconda management need to go to personality school . You would honestly believe a refund was coming out of their own pocket .Had faulty sunglasses, try and get money back.!!
Terrible business names
Because staff are hopeless in Wagga Wagga. When We foot in and look all staff need polite training and need help training. We disappointed and look at the staff faces unfriendly to customers. My people say BCF is better and lovely staff. Sorry, my thing to say.
