Great web browser and word processor

published

Light, strong and sturdy-feeling, excellent trackpad and battery life, convenient size for casual browsing, decent keyboard, enough ports. Generally reliable and does not crash often, even after several years of use. Not the fastest machine for games, and only supports one monitor. Not sure if it supports the highest of high-definition desktop screens either. In summary, it does what it says on the box, and everything works pretty well.

Solid mate

published

This laptop has lasted me three full years of highschool due to its metal frame. I have dropped it multiple times and the worst damage it has received is a small dent in bottom corner next to the charging port. Bit pricy for the performance but worth it if you want a laptop that will last you a while.

Excellent Lightweight Laptop

published

Unless you need very high processor speed or a very large screen these laptops are an excellent choice. I've had one or two of these before and I've liked them all. They are slightly prone to screen failures if badly knocked or you just have some random bad luck. But there's nothing better for web-surfing, travel and communication. For some people an iPad might be a more portable choice but if you're tossing up between the two, bear in mind that the Macbook Air has a built-in keyboard (so you don't need to buy one) and it sits upright at a suitable angle for viewing without the need for a stand or cover. It's also got the CF card reader and USB port built in. It charges very fast and the battery keeps it going for hours.

Fast Mac unfortunately battery dies pretty quickly

published

Small, compact, fast when its new but soon slows down if battery is not replaced, unfortunately apple does not stock this computer anymore so I have to buy a new one once I got so used to tis one, not a fan of the Mac Book Air, sorry, this one was a bit more sturdy. It is discontinued now so I can't even get a new cord for it anymore, a shame.

Best purchase I've ever made.

published

Super fast, light weight, durable and easy to use laptop.
Can't imagine my life without it. Everything about it is 10/10.
Display is beautiful and sound perfect!
I have never once had an issue or problem with it. EVER!
The battery life is commendable. I easily get 12+ hours of use per charge. Sometimes more if I'm power conscious and use battery saver mode. Perfect for students, bloggers or just general use. The user interface is one of my favourite things about it. Its so simple to use.
10/10 product. Highly recommend.

A flop!

published

I purchased this for a relative, it worked for two years and then when I broke off My friendship with my relative - I got the laptop back. I didn’t receive the charger either. I went to various outlets which attempted to charge the laptop. But to no avail - no matter how many times I tried with relevant charging cords, the laptop simply did not power up. I took it to a verified repairer who said I would need to spend $400 or more replacing part of the motherboard that not operating.

Was so disappointed ...

Incredible little computer

published

I bought this laptop to use at university. The battery power is unrivalled, with the battery easily covering me for 8 hours of use during classes and several hours at home.

It is super fast to start up, and very easy to use both on its own and in combination with my other apple products such as my iPhone and iPad.

The internal memory is much smaller than say a windows laptop, but I keep photos and large files stored in an external hard drive.

It doesn't have a disc drive, which I didn't think I would need until I wanted to watch a DVD and had to purchase an external disc drive.

Overall this has been the best computer I have owned. Very lightweight, fast and incredible battery life.

MacBook Pro Review

published

Very unstable while using the internet and after some research, this seems to be across the board. If it is a software issue I believe Apple would come up with a fix so probably a hardware issue and would be a massive recall. My wife has the Macbook Pro and connected to the same network and she never loses signal. We are an Apple family and hate to see them putting low-quality products on the market. I will say Apple stepped up and swapped my MacBook Air twice without hesitation. My regret is not taking them up on an offer to trade up to the Pro. I love the look and size of the Air and hope to see a fix released soon.

Durable tbqh

published

I've had my MacBook for about a year and a half now and I can quite honestly say I'm impressed.
It's survived through all the things I (and other people) have put it through including an exploded water balloon, a spilled cup of juice, getting stepped on by someone at school, getting dropped several times and my gaming (which I know you're not supposed to use your laptop for).
Hoping it'll continue to survive and impress, definitely deserves 5 stars imo.

Awesome piece for hardware!

published

Despite the excruciatingly high price, the piece of hardware and software for what you pay for is exceptional and definitely justified. The battery life on this is insane despite having this used for a couple of weeks. The build quality is definitely amazing as it packs so much hardware in such a small form factor that enables portability. This will definitely outlive any Windows laptop that you throw at it.

Awesome First Mac Computer

published

I bought my first Mac computer not long ago and its very fast and I love macOS Sierra. The build quality is tremendous and looks dam good. The battery life is 13 hours long and takes 1 hour to recharge. The only thing I was disappointed about is I bought 128gb model and it actually is only 121gb storage with 98gb usable because of the preinstalled os as I spent 1400 dollars on it. Next time if I can't afford the bigger storage MacBook, I will buy a Windows PC laptop instead for more storage.
