Amazing Laptop

published

I think the Mac Book Air 13-inch Is one of the best laptops out there for school or work. it is very reliable and fast for opening up programs and rendering videos. It also has a really long lasting battery life if you use your laptop alot. It is very easy to travel with it as it is very thin in size and it is amazingly light.

Bought this product without ever using it. It is great. Long battery life and clear display. Apple never seems to fail me. Able to use wireless with no issues and it’s very quick to start up each time. Enough storage for all my file and photos and general stuff. Love it.

I purchased this macbook after using the white macbook for over 6 years. The battery lifespan is excellent, lasting me through the work day, and is able to handle the many windows I open whilst doing research. However, with the latest update, I have been experiencing the system freezing a number of times (this has never happened before) Very happy with my purchase!

Best Laptop

Best laptop I've ever owned. Fast and reliable. The battery lasts over 10hrs, easily getting me through the whole day. The screen is bright and clear. The keyboard is nice to type on. The trackpad is awesome. Runs the latest macOS. Has two normal USB ports which is super useful.

Very good design and value

published

Bought this Macbook Air 13" on Kogan, for $1229, it's really good value compare with all Windows laptop at similar price range, for the design and quality, it's really competitive.

I feel a bit lack of is screen resolution, in a bit lower range, and a biit heavy, I guess the metal case does make difference... battery life is great, classic silver is great, overall it's a great product from Apple, value for money...

Being a uni student almost every other student has a macbook air so i had to see what the fuss was about. Turned out to be a great decision. Fantastic computer with great battery life and performance that doesn't slow down. Apple customer service great too. No complaints here definitely was worth the price!

Great device!!!

published

This device is perfect for my son in high school. He claims the device is easy to use and fits into his school bag very easily. They are light and one of the fastest laptops I have ever used. They are a bit pricey, but definitely reach my expectations especially with the price tag they come with.

I got mine in April 2017. Fun to use, love the features and layout. Had it in for repairs for 10 days or more before a year was up, locked out of wifi access, had to reinstall complete system. Make sure you own a compatible external hard drive for backup. Now another issue where no access to my files, grey out screen. Spent 4 hours on the phone with technical support, they are well trained. Maybe another 10 days in repairs. Bought brand new but feeling of second hand. Had hoped to purchase a laptop lasting at least 3 years before so many problems. Any suggestions please? Twice in 1.5 years is a somewhat over the top.

This product is good. However, other issues should be aware of.

published

They are called ‘professional’. However, some of them even don’t have foundational knowledge. And after I lost the data, they changed another guy to chat with me. I did contact Apple to complain about it. But, never got a reply. No one took the responsibility of it. It was more than disappointing and frustrating.

Okay.. But not very great for students

published

Just in my case, my parents bought me an MacBook Air crossing 1100A$. I was happy to have that glowing apple logo to be honest. I later joined my bachelor's of engineering program where I was needed to install Turbo C++ and hence I could not find a real one for my MacOs Sierra. That's rubbish! Even the 2010 laptops can have turbo C++ in them but not the Mac coz it's got another OS hence they have their own Buggy "XCode" as the C++ IDE and is way different than the original one. It's just has its own Syntax. Not worth if you're a student

Incredible little computer

published

I bought this laptop to use at university. The battery power is unrivalled, with the battery easily covering me for 8 hours of use during classes and several hours at home.

It is super fast to start up, and very easy to use both on its own and in combination with my other apple products such as my iPhone and iPad.

The internal memory is much smaller than say a windows laptop, but I keep photos and large files stored in an external hard drive.

It doesn't have a disc drive, which I didn't think I would need until I wanted to watch a DVD and had to purchase an external disc drive.

Overall this has been the best computer I have owned. Very lightweight, fast and incredible battery life.

I have never had a problem with apple MacBooks, they always last longer then any other laptop I've had, easy to use and it syncs in well with my iPad and iPhone. Only dislike is they don't have any colour options like that iPhones and iPads I would of loved to have all my apple products the same colour

Great Light Laptop (getting dated)

published

The MacBook Air remains the least expensive MacBook, and has finally received a minor spec upgrade. Battery life is excellent, and performance for everyday tasks remains smooth. It's the only MacBook left with standard USB ports or a MagSafe connection. The design feels dated, with a thick bezel around a low-resolution screen. Windows laptops in the same price range offer newer components, higher-res screens and lighter, slimmer bodies. The MacBook Air lives to fight another day, thanks to its mainstream price and long battery life, but this classic laptop is definitely in its twilight.

Never buy an apple

It is very unreliable and it always freezes and slows down and the keyboard does this weird thing it doesnt let you use it and it becomes very frustrating and unable to use. How does the Macbook Air's cope with editing softwares and loads of footage? im a media student and been suggested to get a Macbook air/pro but how convient is this mac towards what is needed of me?As well as the maintance of this product?

Hi, based on the info provided I would recommend the pro over the air. The air was not designed to handle that kind of application.

SRJSyd
SRJSyd

The Air is powerful enough to run Final Cut Pro X - but it depends on how complex your movie is - the Pro has better graphics and faster processors. I use my Air (1.7Ghx Intel Core i7, Intel HD Graphics 5000, with 8Gb Ram and 500Gb SSD) to do imports and rough edits when I am in the field and transfer to a Mac Pro for the heavy duty work when I get home. Its a LOT cheaper than the Mac Pro...

No not the same as the ipad, the next best solution is to purchase a 3g hotspot or USB dongle
