The Next Best Thing....
I bottle fed my baby, because I had to.
To begin with we started off with Nan Gold up to about 3 months.
My baby had a lot of reflux problems with that brand and so our GP recommended Aptamil Gold AR (anti reflux) and she thrived dramatically!
She even seemed not to catch colds, ate really well and just loved her Aptamil.
She is now 5 and a very happy and healthy little girl.
We were lucky enough to get the right milk 1st go but more importantly stopped the reflux that we were told by 2 paediatricians that if it continued she would have to have an operation to relieve the symptoms, which was always for us very unnecessary.
I certainly would have no hesitation in recommending Aptamil Gold.

Wouldn't go past it!
Easy to prepare and Bub loves it.
My son has been on this since he was a week old as I couldn't breast feed. Recently he came down with influenza A and was hospitalised, the doc had no hesitations in telling me to put him back on a half formula half cows milk diet. He's gaining weight again and loves his formula!!!
Give it a few days
Formula is great for my baby who had really bad reflux. Although the second and third day his stool was a bit harder. But feeding him abit of water in between some feeds solved that problem.
Formula is easy to preapare. Although we had to cut bigger holes in our teats so it could flow out. Reccomedations:
1. buy fast flowing teats
2.Don't mix formula with water until right before baby feeds because it gets to thick after 5-10min.
3. Give it a few days for baby to adjust and when required give baby some water in between feeds to help soft...
Life saver
I might be jumping the gun as we're only 2 days in but this has made huge changes in our 3 month old. She had terrible reflux & was on medication but was still obviously uncomfortable and she's been a different baby since we changed formula. Yes it's thicker but buying new bottles is no problem, I'd pay anything to keep my settled happy bub. Thank u!!

Saved my sanity
This formula quite literally saved my sanity. I became ill only 6 weeks after my precious little boy arrived and was unable to breastfeed while on medication. My little guy had the most dreadful colic and reflux. A helpful and understanding pharmacist led a tearful me to this formula and after the 1st bottle bub went from wanting to feed every 45 minutes to his first solid 2 hour sleep since birth.

Lifesaver
This formula is perfect for any child with relux. Its easy to prepare as the tin has a little edge you can scrape the formula spoon on to level out the serve. Were as some brands you have to keep a knife handy. It is thicker then normal formula but just requires a strong shake. This has always been my go to formula with my babies when they have needed thicker formula. Its such a relief to know there is something like this out there for babies. No side effects with my kids. And kept my babies fuller for longer.
Aptamil
I brought the formula and with some fast flow teats it has trouble coming out and had to make the hole bigger other then that im liking it so far my little has just gone on the formula and doesnt chuck up as much and is abit more settle and not crying as much but seems to have diarrhoea ever since i put them on the aptamil ar formula not sure if thats normal an if you have warn custom that could happen

Won't come out of the bottle
It's so thick poor bubs can't suck it out of the bottle. I'll have to throw the whole container out and buy something else :( I wonder whether the company knows you need a different bottle to allow flow, but that information certainly wasn't plastered on the front of the container.

Good but not clean
We used this formula since my baby was 5 days old but this time, when preparing milk I found a white hair inside the can, I took photo on it. It's not from us for sure coz I have a black hair and my partner is bownish not white and long. Very bad experience. Thinking not to use it anymore

Worked wonders
Okay, so my daughter had very bad reflux when she was bored, I tried so many formulas and then someone told me about this one, it was amazing for her, but the only downside was it made her very constipated, but that was a quick fix for that constipation
Hi Ash, sorry to hear that your baby got constipated on the Aptamil AR. Please give us a ring on our toll-free number 10800 438 500 and one of our dietitians or nutritionist will be able to assist you.

Good Formula
This is the formula my son was on for the first 3 months it worked well, he never really vomited BUT if and when he did it was almost the whole bottles worth and because the formula is so thick it was not fun to clean up. Other than that the formula worked well it doesn't smell as bad as the regular Aptamil, but I did transition him to the regular as this one was just too thick and If you left the bottle for longer than 5 minutes it was too thick to come out of the teat.

excellent quality all the time
I bought it for my little nephew in chemist warehouse. He has always been on this baby formula and never changed other brands. He loves this formula and growing really fast! But there is occasionally shortage of this brand at CW and coles near my location, so sometimes I need to commute a long way to purchase it. Recommend mums to prepare at leat one extra can at home just in case there is a shortage in your local stores.

Highly recommended if your baby have reflux problem.
My baby boy was born on early April this year and our pediatrician has recommended the Aptamil brand to me if I couldn't breast feed him. When my son was at 1 week old, I made a purchase of the Aptamil Gold+ Stage 1 and tried to use it as a top-ups at night time, however he has a lot of spit-up and mild reflux straight after drinking it and he was also seemed to be in pain (due to acid reflux), non-stop crying throughout the whole night after being fed.
I have done lots of research trying to find possible solutions and then decided to give A...
Read moreptamil Gold+ AR a try based on other people's recommendations. To my surprise, on the first night after feeding him with 50ml, he has absolutely no spit-up and not even any "in pain or lots of gas in yummy" signs at all. We then decided to continue to feed him every night with this formula before he goes to bed as well as mid-night feed at 3am. My son is now 3 months old and he is still drinking this anti-reflux formula with no issues at all. He has no more reflux problem during sleeps & didn't cause any constipation on him. He has happily accepted this formula at first try and each time he is very satisfied after being fed with it. I would highly recommend this formula to anyone if their babies have the same mild reflux issue.- 2 reviews

Caused diarrhea
We were originally using Bellamy's until a friend recommended Aptamil because her 2 boys had it when they were little and it prevents reflux. Our son had very mild reflux so we thought of giving this a go.
After about 12 hours of consuming Aptamil our son had diarrhea. We didn't think anything of it and continued to feed him this formula until after the 4th nappy of diarrhea when we decided to switch back to Bellamy's. Gradually our baby's poo started to thicken back to the normal mustard-like poo. Wouldn't purchase this again.

My baby had bad constipation
My baby developed a very bad constipation while using this formula and it is so thick once prepared that it would not flow easialy through the bottle making my daughter upset.
I stopped giving it to her when I noticed the constipation was getting severe and I hadto trow 2/3 of the tin in the rubbish. It was a waste of my precious money.

If your baby has reflux then this is the formula to use.
Easy to prepare. We Went from Aptimal to Aptimal AR without an issue and back again without any problems at all. Ceased reflux instantly, baby was more settled at night. Only needed to purchase one tin and the reflux had ceased with no reaccurance.
This product definitely worked for us.

Would not have gotten by without it
Formula is incredible. My baby had severe silent reflux at a month old, and nothing else would resolve it. We did go on Losec, but even if we used the regular formula with that, he would be vomiting and his stomach churning. It was awful... but we could see the difference within half an hour of use. Would recommend for any child with reflux issues.
AMAZING ar formula for babies with severe GERD
My baby has severe reflux and can vomiting easily upto 10 times a feed and a few hours after. And is on losec. After trying a few different brands of AR formula, cows and goats milk nothing ever helped. He had a sensitive tummy and cows milk constipated him and tummy pains, goats milk was good for the bottom end but terrible for the reflux. After giving up and just staying on goats formula. I decided to try aptamil AR, thinking it was going to be the same.. but no!
He's poohs upto 4 times a day! No tummy pain, no vomits! And sleeping longer.

Anti reflux
This formula is amazing, really helped with my sons reflux and as it slowly thickens in their tummies it isn't too rich for them. He loved the thickness of it and it did take a long time to feed him but it reduced his vomiting significantly which was a massive help. I highly recommend this product if you have a spewy baby and this also helped with tummy pain as well

Very happy baby!
Im not one to normally write reviews but felt I had to,I've been searching desperately to find a good formula for my baby who has been very unsettled since I couldn't breastfeed any longer. I tried many formulas before using this one, s26gold, bellamys, nan comfort, karicare plus. my baby used to scream in pain after every feeding and then continued afterwards, sometimes until the next feed. He used to arch his back, spit up formula and have terrible wind. I was reluctant to try yet another formula but I was desperate and hated to see him so up...
Read moreset and in pain. I used this formula and literally after the first feed he was different, no more spit ups no more screaming in pain he slept 5 hours straight. Every baby is different and It is trial and error but this one worked great for my baby. yes the formula is thick but it's supposed to be,my baby doesn't seem to have any problem getting it out of the bottle. I have a much happier baby and am very happy with this formula definitely one I'm sticking with!ieatwords.com.au has affiliate partnerships. My son is nearly one now. He only has a couple of bottles a day now. No longer has reflux and drinks most other fluids. Trying to slowly change his formula to standard. But I think we'll just change...
