I just had to tension mine as it wasn't retracting very well. While it's retracted I would suggest taking the plate of the right hand side, use a pair of multi grips to grab the middle and unscrew the 4 screws around the outer part and carefully let it off a little until there's only a little bit of tension and put the screws back in. If it's not going all the way back in then turn it until the house is retracted and do up the screws. It's pretty straight forward

It says that it can be extended but how would the connectors get past the guide fitting that is on the roller thanks
