Had nothing but problems since it was installed on the first day
The day my archer was installed it needed new parts. We have had to replace about 6 parts all up and now its dead, so I'm up for a new heater. Everytime we tried dealing with archer they were rude and aggressive. And often would send the wrong parts that we had to pay for. I will never recommend an archer.

Getting old need repair
Good fire but need a good gas tech to solve problems not many techs will have a go at these heaters this has been a good heater but has had several problems recently this maybe time for a new heater expensive heater but they are extremely efficient and will heat large areas .

Don't buy one of these heaters unless you are a qualified Plumber/gasfitter!!
Purchased an Archer IS200 gas log heater which was installed on 27/5/2015. Three weeks later to the day it stopped working. Paid just on $5000 inclusive of installation. After 2 days, Plumber Hubby got it going again. Still no repairer sent to inspect it. NO after sales service!! Don't buy unless you can fix yourself.

G'day guys,
We have an Archer IS 203 which makes a hissing noise in operation after an hour or so, running on the highest setting.
It sounds like water drops hitting the top of the heater, and happens every 15-30 minutes.
Also, I get condensate leaking from the bottom of the PVC flu. Is the condensate normal, and once I seal the thread on the PVC flu where it leaks, does the heater absorb the water?

Hello, Ray, all Archer gas log fires come with an automatic humidifier, because of there high efficency they do condensate and that is why you will see steam coming out of the flue, the condensate should run back into the heater and collected in a container fitted with a pump and when it gets to a certain level it will pump the water into a tray on top of the firebox where it will be evaporated in the air stream, it will make a sound like someone pouring water into a hot dry fry pan for approximately 5 to 7 seconds this is a normal procedure of the heater and can occur every 10 to 60 minutes depending how long your flue is, the ambient temperature and the heater setting, if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to give us a call on 1300 388 953 or (03) 9795-8895 hope this has been of some help to you best regards from tech support at Aurora climate systems the manufacturer of the Archer gas log fire

My Aurora IS200 keeps beeping, how is this stopped and what does this mean ? Also the rear flame does not light up and the heater only operates on low even though both burn switches are turned on. Thanks, Simon

Hi the fan capacitor may be faulty 2 capacitors control the fan speeds has the heater been cleaned also renew battery's in remote and the unit cheers

Hello Simon the reason why your receiver for your remote in the heater is beeping is that the signal has been lost to the handset or it has gotten to hot,i dont no how old it is so i cant tell you if it needs new batteries or not, if all batteries and connections are o.k you need to do a relearn process on the receiver which is a low voltage device and is a simple procedure to carry out, we will need some more information to give you the correct instructions or you can give us a call on the phone and we can guide you through the process our contact phone numbers are 1300 388 953 or (03) 9795 8895 hope this has been of some help to you kind regards from Tech support.

Hi ihave the Is200 getting a bit old but has been a good heater im having issues with the rear flame the HSI will glow but the solanoid for the second burner doesnt click only the front burner will start air pressure switch was replaced 12 months ago, capacitors for the fan, 2xHsis, remote 4years ago, both gas valve solanoids and the grey box, with the solanoinds could the valve for the second flame be sticking i have a new valve body but this hasnt been installed as yet ive turned the remote box to on to bypass the remote but it still doesnt start. Benalla chainsaws are our agents we havnt been able to solve this problem, also the remote previously did to beep 4 times but only beeps twice on & off,Is there any good gas techs in the benalla vic 3672 area Royce Smith [number removed]
