We have a IS 900 wall unit.
The unit been on for 2 hours this afternoon (only had the rear log on) and all the sudden there is a beeping sound. We turned it off immediately via the remote control. However the beeping stays on.
Hope you are able to help?

Kind regards

Archer Gas 900 Series

New IS900 installed 2 weeks ago and I’ve got 2 quick questions.

1. The fan to what I think is the flue is loud and quiet high pitched. Is this normal?

2. Both burners did work however only the rear is now working. The front burning tries to ignite (the igniter glows) but won’t start. It’s as if the gas isn’t flowing.

Any ideas on the above?

TIA

I have an archor 900 is it supposed to burn off condensation?

Hello Francis sorry for the late reply, but yes the 900 is supposed to burn off condensation, it has a built-in automatic humidification system, because of its high efficiency it creates condensate this appears as steam which builds up in the flue and the heat exchanger, it is then collected in a sump at the bottom of the heat exchanger where it is then transferred across to a pump container, were once a certain preset level is reached it will activate the pump, the water will then be pumped into a tray on the top of the firebox and be evaporated in the air stream you will hear a sound when this happens like someone pouring water into a hot fry pan and you may see some steam leaving the front of the heater, how often this will occur will depend on some variables such as the type and length of your flue, what speed the convection fans are running at,what heat setting is chosen, the outside temperature and the ambient temperature in the room of the heater, it can occur approximately every 5 minutes or maybe once an hour or maybe just when you switch the heater off, it can be quite random deppening on the above-mentioned circumstances, it is quite a safe procedure and dose not satureate the air but prvents it from drying the air out such as other heaters will do, hope this has been of some assistance to you, if you have any more quetions happy to help best regards Turtledove the heater man.................

I have no idea. Suggest you call your supplier.

Those aren't heat settings, they are fan speed settings. The remote will do the heating automatically :)

Hello Katmil your Archer has three automatic fan settings which are controlled by the temperature of the firebox, you then also have three burner settings, which are if you just run the front burner only is considered low, if you just run the rear burner on its own this is considered as the medium setting and if you run both burners together this is considered to be the high setting, you control this by switching the two rocker switches on the front panel behind the drop-down door on the heater, your thermostat remote will just switch the heater on and of according to how you position your burner switches, it can just turn on and off in low medium or high it is up to you, there is also a red button on the switch panel which when illuminated overrides the remote for the front burner only, in other words, the front burner will remain on regardless of what it says on the remote, I would suggest you call Aurora they are very helpful and can guide you through the best way to operate your heater, their numbers are 1300 388 953 or (03) 9795 8895 hope this didnt confuse you too much, because the way you have been operating the heater will work fine, best regards Luvlee.

Hello Richie Stuart in order to answer your question we need some more information, such as does your heater have a remote thermostat, what is your gas pressure set at and what type of gas L.P or natural, what does the heater do when it turns off does it try to relight, are your convection fans getting to the correct speed, these are just some of the questions we need to be answered, its probably best to give us a call and we can give you some advice on what to look for and how to rectify your heater it may just be as simple as resetting the remote hope this has been of some help sorry it took so long to get back to you, you may have already called if not our contact numbers are 1300 388 953 or (03) 9795 8895, look forward to your response kindest regards from tech support at Aurora climate systems.
