Bring on Construction
So far, all staff at Arden Homes have been fantastic. From the Sales Team in Clyde North to the Tendering and Contract Team in the Berwick Office, everyone we've dealt with have been very helpful and accommodating. Everything completed to date has been very professional and timely and we are very happy with how our Dream Home is looking on paper! We can't wait for construction to begin in the next few days and I have no doubt the culture of great customer service will continue into the construction phase!

Our second Arden Home is great
Hi,
My wife and I have built three homes, the last two have been with Arden Homes.
The latest home is soon coming for completion and we couldn't be happier.
This build has gone better then the last home. The last build was fine.
Our last home was beautiful and required little maintenance (one small leak in heavy rain but was fixed within a week) but the build took a while.
This build has gone smooth from start to finish and QUICK!
We knew what we wanted and made sure our contract and selections were spot on.

Great Design, Friendly Staff and Streamlined Process
Currently in a pre-construction phase (about to start building this week), the process up to this point has been great. From speaking to the sales consultant, going through to tender and choosing colours and materials to all the communications back and forth collating all the necessary documents and discussions that needed to be made. It helped that as a family we were pretty clear on what we wanted and didn't want so that helped streamline the process.

o very attentive and never did we have to chase them for a response. Usually it was the other way around and when I did have a question or three, Arden responded very promptly. The final cost is more than what our estimate cost but I am not surprised that this happened as we had chosen a few upgrades that we wouldn't have known to include when at given the initial quote but pleased it wasn't crazy different. That said, I believe based on the samples seen and looking at the display homes, the quality of finishes is what I am really looking forward to seeing in reality. We do believe that for the price we are getting a quality home compared to what I have seen (having worked in the industry) at other volume builder companies. imagination is the only thing that can give us the dream experience
Imagine moving in to your dream Arden home and having no hot water for almost a month, having plumbing defects since installation where you smell your own sewerage for 2 years wafting throughout the house, absolutely nothing short of appalling and embarrassing - all because the plumbers never sealed the flanges and piping properly around the base of the toilets and several attempts to resolve this and almost 2 years before a resolution!! Imagine your autistic daughter having half her room pulled apart in the first few months with water leaking...Read more
through her wall and into her carpet, resulting in the vanity, walls and carpet being replaced because piping had been drilled through when the vanity was installed. Imagine your showers being so negligently plumbed and constructed that mold has been leeching in to the house from the main en-suite since day 1. We first reported the atrocious mold smell from below our vanity in Nov-18, and here we are in April-19 where the result will be the complete rebuilding of both bathrooms due to horrific building flaws. During this period we have had a home filled with toxic mold leeching into the air and my partner has had serious allergic reactions to it. Imagine living in darkness half your life because you can't bare to look at the floor or the abominable painting works in the main hallway areas in the house, 2 years on and still not remotely satisfactory. Imagine living with your partner in a depressive state since handover 2 years ago because of the broken promises of the "new home" experience. Our dream with Arden has been nothing short of a disaster since handover. Our list of issues go on and on and the dream of the new home experience has been absolutely denied & shattered by this company. The list of rectification works that go well beyond the "typical & reasonable" list of items you would provide your builder at handover is beyond any excuses or level of incompetence or negligence we can withstand any longer. Given this is the third new home we've built & the most expensive of the 3 by some $40,000 we are completely outraged by the absolute lack of quality or distinction in the finished product. The sheer number of sub-par works is mind-blowing and in this day and age of accountability, I cant believe you can deliver this!! I wish I could screw my job up this badly and still turn up on Monday. This house is riddled with questionable building techniques / methodologies and the aspect that angers us the most is that throughout the building process there was an evident lack of building supervision and qualified trades people working on this project, despite paying a premium for it. I wonder how this passed a building inspection to be perfectly honest...? We don't have to imagine any of this, as it's been the reality of the Arden experience..... a very unflattering result for Arden and a really frustrating and deflating experience for us!

A bit shaky in the middle of the design phase with a difficult council to navigate but Arden Homes helped us get there in the end. Arden has a great team. They are very approachable, friendly and helpful.
The pricing is very reasonable, I've made line by line comparison.
Service is great, my team has been very efficient and patient with me.
Arden really try to accommodate you, and if they can't, I can assure you the rest of the volume builders would do even less (just industry standard).
I've been told I'm very thorough so I manage each step closely, and things repeatedly explained to me!
The colour selection was great, there isn't any point in having a great warehouse of selection when
1) I can't afford it
2) Gives me a headache from information overload.

Great, friendly and informative service
Our first encounter and introduction to Arden homes was meeting with Our sales consultant at the display home we selected. She was very knowledgeable, thorough, very efficient and accurate in all the information she gave to us. Anything I would ask for, she would organize to get priced, was always happy to help and make changes to our plans and selections. She was always so friendly with our little girl which made a difference for us too.

Great team. From Sales to Site Start we had consistent and good attention & service
We've dealt with two builders simultaneously with paid quotes and design selections, and we've found Arden to be much more open, approachable and accommodation. We signed the sales quote in Sep 2018, land titled in Nov 2018 and contracts were signed in Feb 2022, site start advised for mid April 2022.
We've had a few changes to the design and Arden sales person was really helpful. I must admit that initially I waled in to the display houses of Arden and walked out just by seeing the start price of the house (easily about $40k) more than usual ...Read more

ARDEN HOMES have been absolutely amazing. We are just about to move into construction in the next couple of weeks and cannot be more excited. Our pre site administrator has been amazing, very informative, thorough and concise. Our administrator would respond to emails in a timely manner and answer any concerns we had, the most important thing she was honest. Everything has run smoothly from our initial visit to the display house to our colour selection and electrical appointment. Everyone has been so helpful and nothing and I mean nothing is a problem. Pre-construction stage review
We made the plunge to do a knockdown/rebuild in the south eastern Melbourne suburbs.
All good so far... now moving to construction stage, March 2022. We will report back at the end of a build and hand-over etc.
History
We viewed quite a few builders and decided to go with Arden. We found the inclusions clear (less hidden costs than some of the other builders). We did upgrade a few items but found most of the standard offerings within our requirements.
We worked with the Arden local sales office to create a draft plan, timing and estimated...Read more
costing. We were able to tweak (customize) the standard 2 story Votivo 43 house and committed with a small deposit. After this time we were introduced to our very helpful, Pre-site Administration (PA), she provided us with the initial plans, guides on knockdown/rebuild and a draft template of the Arden build contract. (I found providing the draft contract early, gave us less surprises when it came to full contract signing latter). The PA help drive the complete the knockdown/rebuild time table ( we are still on track :) (Our responsibility was managing the knock down ourselves, to meet the build start requirements#)1 comment
