Door issues

published

We moved into our house in Feb, since then we have paid for 2 new thermostats, then the door handle came away as I opened it, causing door glass to shatter. Paid hundreds for new door, which shattered the very next day whilst I was heating the oven up. Ordered the new door to replace it, then when it arrived at the electrical suppliers who were fitting it, the glass had already shattered. I wouldn't touch Ariston ovens again with a bargepole.
Looks pretty
Door issues. Doesn't cook evenly. Thermostats needed replacing.

What A Buy!!!

published

I wanted to buy something with better quality than I previously had in my kitchen, something European. I was looking in Harvey Norman and a staff member directed me to this Ariston 90cm Upright. The price was definitely better than some of the other big brands but I hadn't heard much about the brand. Backed by Masterchef and a 5 year warranty and the description sounded great. I have been using it now for 5 months and it's fantastic! I have even cooking results in the oven every time I use it. Thank you Harvey Norman, I love it!!!
Italian made, 5 year warranty, backed by Masterchef Judge Gary Meghan, price

Have purchased this and I agree wholeheartedly. Yesterday gave her a great run, pavlova, biscuits, pastry, pizza and a roast meal. Perfect results all round.

Love it

This was my first purchase of a freestanding oven. Great decision. I was talked through it by a girl from Harvey Norman. She took me to the Ariston cooker. It was on sale and came with 5yr warranty, looked great so I went for it. Love it, great for stir frys too.
warranty, Big wok burner, good looking
Not the cheapest

I LOVE this oven!

published

I've had this now for 3 years and I cook like crazy in it. The rotisserie is amazing, the self cleaning is wonderful, the iron grills are heavy and sturdy, the manual is easy to read and helps with cooking instructions, its big and fits a lot in it. I recommend this oven to anyone!
Rotisserie is wonderful for roasts, chickens, pork. Large oven space, various cooking methods, self cleaning, heavy door, great alarm, timer, heavy grill pads easy to clean. Upright oven easy to clean underneath. Easy to read manual with tips and cooking methods.

A nightmare

published

Have had nothing but problems with this cooker from day one. Problems with door dropping, and was told that i must have put weight on it. Had it serviced under warranty. Same problem happened again after waranty had run out . Door was ajar therefore letting steam escape, all decals and numbers have come off where steam escaped. Called for a service person to come out, but they didnt show. Door will not close now and have had to jam a wooden spoon into door to keep closed. Complete let down. Have service man booked again for 24th May, hopefully this one will turn up..Would never buy this product again..and I nearly bought the drier and washing machine..phew!

I know its been a while since this was put on as I have just discovered it and I agree totally, in 4 years I have put un 4 door seals and hardly use the oven and the grill element shorts out and have used that possibly 12 times.

Thermostat faulty from day one. Door hinges have been replaced two times, first time under warranty although i was questioned about my usage of the oven door!!! At the moment I am jamming the door shut with cardboard wedges as I am NOT replacing hinges again. The self cleaning liners are pathetic. The large size is nice but imagine the wasted energy with sloppy hinges.

Thank god I read these comments as I was looking at purchasing one! although they look nice I don't want to be jamming anything into the door to keep it shut!

I went for Blanco I found a wholesaler in Dandenong he was under half price because of a few scratches on the side (that no one will ever see) I did my research beforehand and I am so glad I got it. Good Luck!

Terrible

Have been mucked around by customer service and found out the hard way that their warranty is very limited.
Would not recommend their product
Not much, read on
After 3 months of use the door seal has shrunk to a point where it has split around one of the clips. When speaking to Ariston about this I was informed that it was not covered by warranty and would cost around $70.00 plus labor to fix.
