Bad taste

published

Saos even when in date taste stale, they aren't very crisp at all and the flavour is really awful. The Woolworths home brand "saos" are beyond compare and at 97c they out rank Arnott's in every way.

Purchased in April 2021 at Woolworths.

DISAPPOINTING! Nothing like they used to be

published

Thin, hard, and not that nice air filled crunch. They taste cheap or low quality flour used now. I loved Saos, they were so versatile. I haven’t had them for a number of years, and as they are now, I won’t be buying again

Purchased in April 2021 at Woolworths for $3.00.

Good for dips

published

We sit down after a days work and enjoy a dip spread on a Sao biscuit. So easy to use so tasty so crispy. Very good value compared to other products in the biscuit range.

Purchased in January 2021 at Coles Supermarkets for $2.85.

Have you altered the recipe tastes like nothing, very thin, hard, not fluffy anymore or is it a bad batch.

sao biscuits taste like pet food

published

My Grandfather was personal friends with original Mr Arnott and told him that he made Sao biscuits for the Salvation Army Organisation hence it's name, and all the profit from these biscuits were to go to that organisation. Does It? The only thing lacking is the butter or shortening making them tasteless and no better than pet food and can Arnotts make their biscuits any thinner? I don't think so. In a word they are disgusting!

Bring back the Sao that is worthy of the name

published

Purchased a packet of Saos yesterday anticipating the taste of my childhood. Nothing like it. Please bring back the flakey light Sao of yester year so children can again beg Mum for Saos for lunch or snack.

SAO quality has gone to the dogs with is cardboard wafer thin biscuit of late.

SAO quality has gone to the dogs with is cardboard wafer thin biscuit of late. Very disappointing to see this product quality now below the knock off brands found at Woolworths Home brand and Coles own brand.
Taste is compared to cardboard, and not the usual tasty snack that is crunchy and wholesome the consumer has gown to like.

Sao crap

published

The new improved Sao's are more like crackers than the old original Sao!!!! They taste like cardboard and are a lot harder than the original.

Sao biscuits are the best

published

Sao biscuits continue to be amazing and delicious. Other biscuits like cheds which are awful fail to be even be in the same class as sao's . Cheds should be taken off the market to make place for more sao's

Arnotts have ruined yet another biscuit

published

So far Arnott's have ruined as far as I know Arnott's shapes, lattice and now the Sao, search Sao biscuit on Youtube and watch the video, now go and have a Sao from the cupboard and you will see the "new" Sao is about half the thickness and is not fluffy at all and tastes like cardboard, well done Arnott's, you've successfully destroyed another Aussie icon! (BTW you will NEVER find Sao's on special either)

Best Aussie Biscuit

published

We grew up on these plain biscuits and the generic brands don't come within cooee of being able top this classic. Who doesn't like a Sao with cheese and tomato? Versatile, crisp and the best big biscuit around for snacks, lunches, bases for sweet slices and perfect for school lunches.

Excellent

published

Arnott's Sao's have been around for as long as I can remember. With such a high quality, great tasting product, its no wonder why. Each cracker is so crisp and you can load it up with whatever topping you like! I usually have mine with cheese and tomato, and I love that the cracker doesn't go soggy, because its so thick.
An inexpensive, great tasting, readily available product.
Nothing, yet!
