I would like to know the difference between Ascent Cluster Jnr and the Sustain range. Is there more stability in one - made differently etc?

Ascent F.Ascent Footwear
The Sustain Jnr is an update to the old Cluster Jnr model. It features a more streamline midsole and is more flexible in the forefoot.

hi ascent, i have just purchased a pair of Avara shoes and the left one has a painful crease across the top of the shoe when pressure is applied. I have only purchased these today so will these wear in or will i need to return them for another style?

Ascent F.Ascent Footwear
Hi Elise
The shoe certainly shouldn't feel painful out of the box. I would suggest taking them back in to store to assess the shoe and check the size.
Thanks, I did take them back today and they were a half size too small and we felt there was a minor defect with one of the shoes. Half a size bigger made all the difference and they are wonderful.

Does any of the ascent work shoes provide as much support and motion control as the brooks beast.? I did go to an athlete's foot store but they couldn't find any.
1 answer
Ascent F.Ascent Footwear
Hi, Thanks for your question.
Yes we have a number of workboots that provide support and motion control through the use of mid foot stabiliser and firm thermoplastic heel counters. It you are looking for a model with a high degree of torsional support I would recommend the following style: https://store.ascentfootwear.com.au/slip-resistant/129206-oxide-black-male-senior.

Hi, I have gone through a few pairs of the Sigma work boots in a size USM 10, my last pair being the SKU#11743 (4E) in a USM size 10 - each pair has fit perfectly and was super comfortable instantly...
I recently got a pair of the Alpha 2 SKU #129467 (4E) also in a USM size 10 and they are a smaller shoe on my foot and the composit caps gave me blisters after a day's wear. I gave it a week and tried again with the same result.
I spoke to the General manager about this and he assured me that both shoes were made from the same mould and were egsactly the same size...
I have phoned all the stockists within an hours drive from my home with the hopes of trying on some other sizes, but couldn't find anyone who had the sizes I wanted to try on.
My question is: what is the next step? My overal disappoint derived mainly from the conversation I had with the sales manager would prompt me to place the boots in a charity bin and try another brand :(

Hi, As noted in previous email communication the Alpha 2 zip boot is made on a completely different platform than your old Sigma slip on boot hence the reason the size you have chosen doesn't fit you. Because your employer has supplied the boot to you they would have need to communicate this with their supplier to arrange a replacement/exchange.
Hi, I apologise for my previous mis communication, but I have also had a pair of the previous version of the Alpha zip boots. These were also a (4E) US size 10. The Alpha 2 is a smaller boot that the previous Alpha model.
My employer made contact with the place of purchase and was told that they could not be exchanged as the boots had been worn.

I am currently on my 4th pair of Ascent work boots. I generally get about 18 months out of a pair. My latest pair is 2 months old and the sole on one boot has split. Can I get them replaced?

Ascent F.Ascent Footwear
Hi Werner, Yes the problem you have described would be covered under warranty. Can you please take them back to your place of purchase and they will arrange for the boots to be replaced.

please suggest me some shoes for my jog ??

Ascent F.Ascent Footwear
Hi, I would recommend the Ascent Kinetic. Dual midfoot stabilisers and stability bridges in the Kinetic provides abundant support with plenty of cushioning as well. An Ortholite® insole sock under the cushioned cup insole. It is also available in our IIFit range meaning shoes can be sold as a traditional pair (size 7 left and size 7 right), a mismatched pair (size 7 left and size 8 right), or as an individual shoe (left or right). Selling shoes as an individual size left and right rather than a traditional pair helps achieve a customised fit without the customer having to pay for custom made shoes nor wait as the shoes are available in store. Hi,
Have been looking for a new pair of safety shoes as the quality of Steel Blue has declined sharply over the last 5 years.
I recently bought a pair of Blundstone office safety shoes but find these uncomfortable after extended use.
After much research I have found my way here. A couple of quick questions if I may:
1. There seems to be no where in Perth I can try a pair of Alpha's on (Oxides at Footlocker) I am reluctant to purchase shoes without trying is there somwhere local I could try a pair on?
2. Will they stand up to 10 hours a day walking around a transport yard - asphalt and concrete.
Regards,
Wil

Ascent F.Ascent Footwear
Hi Will, Thanks for your question. The Athletes Foot in Perth will have a range of our boots in stock for you to try on. From what you have mentioned the Oxide would be the most suitable boot for your profession as it has a rubber nitrile outsole rated to 300 degrees, an abundance of cushioning and arch support your feet will feel great after a long days work. We offer free shipping and 60 day returns so you can purchase the boot online at https://store.ascentfootwear.com.au/search/129206-oxide-black-male-senior, try them out at home and then return them for free if they are not suitable.
