Great bike
My husband and I bought an Aseako a few months ago. I have had a hub type previously and think that the central drive is a much better system. Took a little getting used to, different from the hub, so much more torque, and great on hills. At first, for me being short, the distance between the seat and pedals was a bit of a stretch but am now used to it and don't notice it. I am 66 and now ride to work each day, weather permitting, takes me an hour each way, with the best workout on the way home (more hills). Am so glad we bought the Aseako. Would recommend it to my friends, and have.
Reasonably priced. Chance to test ride.
Distance between seat and pedals a bit of a stretch if you are short in stature.

salesmanship terrible
Well, how can I descibe what I was told by the sales person [name removed] NOT to buy.
I questioned why it was so cheap (in comparison), and the reply;
"You may be better saving some more funds and buying a more expensive one if that will make you feel more comfortable."
Smart answers like that, with my wife and kids all saying "buy" means I won't. In addition, a test ride that was organised by the same person, was cancelled by them.
sales person has a very high opinion - but not of the bike it seems.

So basically you're giving low marks on a product because the guy selling it to you was on his period?
We want to know about the bike not the sales man. Don't [censored word removed] on small company's cause of one guy.

Great bike - upmarket version of the Aseako
I was checking out the Aseako but was drawn to its upmarket version - the Zoco. It is essentially the same as the Aseako except for better components like disc brakes, Rockshok fork and the innovative NuVinci Continuously Variable Transmission gearing system. The bike is a pleasure to ride especially with the NuVinci gearing system; well worth the extra cost. The unique frame structure looks and feels solid. The crank motor is powerful for its motor wattage. Love the pedal assist system but not impressed with the throttle only speed. Service pr...Read more
ovided by seller was excellent with prompt responses to my numerous questions prior to buying the bike and in dealing with a couple of initial problems I had with the bike. The NuVinci gearing system makes riding a pleasure as it provides completely seamless gear changes. Had some initial problems with the gearing system but was resolved by the seller. Seller should test the bikes before sending them to buyers.1 comment

Excellent value for money
I have owned an Aseako for almost two months now and I thought I should provide a frank and honest review. I must put a disclaimer on this review and state that this is the first electric bike I have owned so some of the cons I mention might be similar to all bikes.
Pro's
- Cheap. the bike is definitely value for money,
- Battery. I weigh 90kg and put in some token peddaling and don't ride on hills and I get at least 36km to a charge.
- You can leave it in top gear all the time,
- The motor and all the cabling all sit nicely and th...Read more

Amazing Service, Amazing Product!
When I spoke to [names removed]l, I found they were prompt in answering my questions, honest and very thorough with their details of whatever I needed to know. At first, I wanted a discount on the bike... After [name removed] explained that their small business struggles to maintain such a low price as it is, I purchased the bike anyway... The product discription was just incredible but I must admit, I was a little nervous to see what my bike would be like.
When the bike arrived I was gobsmacked at what an amazing quality product I was sent...Read more
! I felt ridiculous for asking for a discount in the first place! This bike was a steal and arrived within 2 days of being shipped!!! I live in a Regional area of NSW and this just never happens! Im so happy with my bike, and with how lovely the service was. The bike was a gift for my partner and he cant get off it. He is amazed at how fast, reliable and good looking the bike is and to be honest, I barely see him anymore ;)Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
I can now ride with the Family - life changer
I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and I live on a hill. I have not been able to ride a bike for years as I would wear out well before the hill back home. I can now go out riding with the kids and get some sunshine and the limited exercise I can tolerate.
This was way better than expected I feel like I got more than I paid for, almost perfect electric bike, I researched a lot and found nothing like this other than double price rebranded identical bike. Excellent business to deal with and very fast responses to email.

Love the bike. everyone should have one
Great before sales advice and service. this didn't drop off after the sale either with all my queries / requests responded to straight away. product is excellent also. i have since sold my car and use the bike to get to and from work. conservatively this is a saving of $2000 a year so the bike pays itself off pretty fast. this bike gets some pretty rough treatment and stands up to the dirt track i ride on. i am also near the beach and the salt air hasn't affected it yet (6 months on).
So easy to ride and the amount of money i save is going to pay for a pretty good holiday at the end of year
The bike could be a bit lighter but all the electric bikes i tried were similar. it probably needs disc brakes also but i am told these are coming

Great bike. Love it.
I haven't been on a bike for seven years because of my Chronic Fatigue... but this little puppy pushed me a long, up some hills with next to no pedalling. Cycling was a daily part of my life before I got sick and I missed intensely.
But I'm VERY VERY VERY HAPPPPPPPY right now.
I can now go for a ride with my husband and kids, something taken from me previously. I can't wait to take this with us to the park.
Pushes up hills will very little exertion.

Very Exciting E-bike!
I have been riding my Aseako for a while now (replaced a petrol bicycle)and find this e-bike very exciting every time I ride it. I ride it to work 3 times per week, approx 17km each way and arrive to work without an ounce of sweat on my body! I have some hills around my area and the Aseako climbs these with ease, much more so than my old petrol bike. I think this is due to the design of the gearbox and motor system, but it does have good climbing power.
I was sceptical at first as the price seems to good to be true when I compare it to other...Read more

I took delivery of my Aseako electric bike 3 weeks ago and have ridden it to work at The Rocks (Sydney city) from Surry Hills every day, except for a few days of terrible Sydney weather. What a great way to get around the city, I am totally converted to riding an e-bike now!
The Aseako Electric bike is a very smart looking bike and you can tell just by looking at the bike how well it is made. I have had many people commenting on the bike and 2 people from my office have also purchased since.
Smart Looking bike, well built, great price and even better customer service - 5 stars!

Great bike and goes like the wind
I bought an Aseako electric bike online for around a $1000 recently. There are a lot of e-bikes on the market for around this price but this one is definitely value for money. It arrived by courier and I had to fit the front wheel to the forks and insert the handle bars but it wasn't hard and they provide you with the Allen keys that you need. The motor, battery and all the essentials were already fitted and ready to go. You can take out the battery and charge it if you wish or charge it on the bike. The parts all seem good quality. ked out a lot of electric bikes before buying this one and made a false start with a cheap but nasty fold up electric bike with an SLA battery. It was only capable of about 10k an hour and had total range of about 5k. It also had a hub motor. There is a vast difference between a bike with a hub motor and the Aseako. The latter has a central motor with a chain going to the bike's Shimano gear system so that you can use the gears as you would on a car or motor bike. This gives you a lot more torque and speed for the same size motor. The Aseako cruises up hills without draining the battery (my old hub driven bike crawled up even slight hills with the power draining away). The Aseako seems to cruise on around 28ks an hour in top gear and a bit more if you pedal as well. The main advantage to me is that the motor is more or less silent. The bike I had with the hub motor sounded like an angry tram and the sound became annoying after a while. You can just cruise along silently on the Aseako and enjoy the ride. I suspect you can get about 40k between recharges or longer if you do some pedalling. Its good looking too and I keep getting asked where I got it from. I strongly recommend getting a bike with a central drive system like this one rather than a hub motor. Aseako is a very good buy. Fast, good torque, you can use the motor with the bike's gears, comfortable seat, lithium battery. Looks great. Women like it. The minimum seat height is a bit high but not a problem if you have long legs. A bit heavy but all e-bikes are because of the battery and the motor. Goes like the wind anyway.1 comment

tory in China. They are sold all over the world under different names so you can generally get parts for them. "Gette bikes" are made by the same company but sold by someone else. I think RJ Martin bikes in the US are made by Catic. If you buy a "USA made bike" it is probably made in China and at best assembled in the US. There is nothing particularly wrong with an Aseako electric bike. Mine has been going for about six months now and I have had no problems. I ride it to work each day and it gets me home quickly without much effort. Being able to use the motor with the gears is a significant advantage and if you don't believe me, well just go ahead and buy something that accords with your bias and preconceptions.Similar opinion? A great bike to ride and great customer service
I've had my Aseako bike for about 2.5 months now and love it. It flattens the hills and removes the head winds. I commute to work & back (40 km return) and generally do this 4-5 days per week, so 160 - 200 km per week. The battery gets me there and back each day on a single charge. The only criticism I have is the v-brakes - I found them to be a little inefficient, especially on down-hill stops. I have replaced the brake blocks with a different brand and now have no problems. There is also the option of changing to disc brakes.

Awesome!
I'm able to ride all my old trails again and more with ease, the battery life is impressive, its still got plently in reserve after an hour of riding up & down step hills. It just makes pedling soo easy and its just like your riding only powerng/assisting when your pedling!
Not bad componentry given its price
The weight its a bit heavy but you can live with it. The rear battery can act a bit like a pendulum when cranking up hills, a bottle style seat post mounted may have been better. I deleted the poxy looking bits like the stand, mudguards, lights & fluro "moto" stickers it now looks Ok. Also fitted disk brakes and a decent seat post, next will be the forks which aren't that great when pushed off road.

Great design, construction,reliability
This bike works just perfectly, great torque for any hill and enough speed for the flat, delivery great, still running like new after commuting for the last year, for the price you can`t find better!.
I fitted disk brakes which improved the braking, orthough not needed it`s better in the wet. would have been nice to have it as an optional extra
Fabulous value for money
The chain can come off sometimes if riding over rough terrain

Great value ebike
I bought this bike about 4 months ago and extremely pleased with it. I live in Maleny which is hilly and the bike is very effective at dealing with the terrain here. I easily get 30km range around here on a single charge and it takes about 5 hours to charge from flat. Did have a minor problem with the motor at 400kms but this was sorted very promptly by person whom I bought the bike from. I am upto 600 kms now and love this bike.
Inexpensive, great on hills, fun

How to turn on lights?
1 answer
Brett R.Aseako
Hi Greg, To turn the lights on do the following:
Hold both UP and MODE for 3 seconds to turn on the front and back lights and the LCD backlight, when the
surrounding light is not enough or it is in the evening. Hold both UP and MODE for
3 seconds again to turn off all the lights.
Hope this helps,

What is the charging system, and how long to cherge?
What is the weight of a Tourney?
1 answer
It's a standard 12v battery charger that takes around 2 hours to fully charge the 10 amp battery.
The Tourney weighs in at a hefty 28 kg with the battery.
I have one and for the price it is a very good bike, except that I can only get a range of about 20kms out of one charge.
