I need a replacement part for my Dados 40, the flat connector part that connects the exhaust hose to the back of the AC unit. Someone bought it for me second hand but it is missing this part which means I cannot connect the exhaust pipe and cannot use it.

If anyone can help me with a replacement part I would be very very thankful. :) I live in Auckland, New Zealand.

I got the air con unit 2 years ago and I just use it for hot Queensland weather from November to March, it worked ok the first year I used a rubber pipe and large drum which I emptied daily. but now when ever I use it same method it’s leaking from some where else? Yes the filter is clean! Why is it leaking all over the carpet? Not very happy not for an $800 dollar unit!

Hi, we purchased the Dados 40 about a month ago, it has just started turning itself off. Sometimes it will be on for half hour now it switches off straight away. What's the go with that??

Check the filters (on the side) and check the water is empty. It's the overheating switch working. I've found they units struggle with real (qld) heat.

start capacitor 8uf see my review... return to store - oh and if it doesn't perform to expectation (within 30 days) you have a right to a full refund if the product is not fit for purpose.

Hi there, when using the Dados 40 as a heater, the warm air is very humid. We stopped using it for a couple of days and aired out the house and now everything is dry again (no more wet windows). Any advice on how I may have this set up incorrectly?

Thanks

If you are ducting air from outside, it is full of water (humid). It's condensing on the cold windows. Check that the water tank is empty and try running it on dehumidify once you have reached the required temperature.

Hello there,
I just bought the unit this week and wondering whether I need to attach a pipe to expel the water constantly in cooling mood?

No unlike some other units this one only needs emptying say once a week. Depends on the humidity.

No, the water is evaporated through the exhaust vent pipe that you should have directed out a door or window. Whilst the unit does have a drainage point and may require manual draining in extreme humidity conditions I have never had to drain it.

What size generator (pure sine)would run Dados 40? want to put one in my camper/caravan.

Unless you have a big van id doubt it would fit. And I'm no expert but you'd need a pretty big geni to run it.

No idea with generators sorry. Agree with previous comments that you may want to check into measurements as it's not as small as images of it seem to make it.

How do I use this as a heater? Is says on the manual that you rotate it 180 degree, that mean the back is the front right? So when I put the remote to heat mode, there is still cool air coming from the other end which the normal front, so how does this unit function as heater when cold air blowing from the other end? Please help or someone should do a customer friendly video on YouTube. Thank you

Does anyone know where to find spare parts for this unit? The unit isn't cooling anymore and I'm thinking it could be the capacitor? Also I think there's a problem with the remote, when I turn it to the low setting it turns off or goes into a setting where it's not turning the fan at all. Medium goes to full power but not cooling.

I bought the Dados portable air conditioner. I realised that the door and window kit cannot be fitted securely, meaning the window or door cannot be locked and the window kit leaves gaps when used on a window which opens out (the ones we have in NZ)
When I rang the supplier he told me to stuff a pillow in the gaps and pull the hose in when I leave the house.
Has anyone experienced the same or am I the only one who find this being a design fault?
The supplier said he never had anyone complain about this.
He offered me to return the unit at my cost being $142 freight and $65 re-stock fee?????

What can I do? I want to return the unit and receive a full refund.

Hi! I am looking to buy this and have few questions.
1. Does this work as a fan too when I do not need cooling but need to use just the fan?
2. Does this need any water like most other portable aircons?

Yes it works nicely as a fan. The unit when cooling produces water, so it does not need any more added. It is a fully fledged air conditioner and not an evaporate cooler as per the ones with added water.
