Luxury... on the side of the road
I'd owned an Audi A3 and A4 without issue. Decided to buy this A8 a few years ago and regretted it within three weeks. It spent more time in the dealership over 12 months than on the road. I ended up with close to $25,000 worth of electronic, engine and suspension bills. Still needed $15k worth to fix more engine issues. Sold it weeks later for 30% less than what I paid. Not good for a car that was 5 years old. The Auto Audi/VW dealership in Toowoomba were rude and unhelpful too. So decided to buy a Merc rather than an Audi from them. I learnt; don't buy a car out of warranty, also don't buy an Audi A8 unless you own a helicopter or a 'Go Card'.
Purchased in January 2021.

What a machine
Incredible value at 10% of it's original price. I have driven quite a few older V8s and XRs as well as the last super charged FPV V8..........and that is another fantastic story. Anyway the Audi is worth its price just because of the seats. It is without any shadow of a doubt the most comfortable vehicle I have ever sat in ( that's a long list) and that's without using the in-built massager. The motor is another 10 out of 10 section. 0-100 in 5.7sec for a 10 year old shows you she is not ready to retire just yet. Economy is unbelievable for suc...Read more
h a large lump' less than 10litres /100k's. Constant 4 wheel drive is not my favourite though. My old eb2 XR6 (220kw) handles better though or should I say more easily around the twisty hills of Targa land. All in all a definite 5/5 or 10/10 or 100%. Whichever way you say it is an incredible buggy.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
