I was with Optus, Telstra before but was not happy as they promising speed but don't deliver. Hence I changed to Aussie Broadband! Great service, great support, short waiting queue.
This service is just available all time. Great network management no issues at all.
If you are looking for a reliable provider service, your search can end as you have found you are looking for.

Hopeless

published

So slow, dropouts are continuous. I have had trouble for
over 12 months and nothing ever gets fixed. Their technicians are useless. They dont seem to know what is happening. Made me buy an extender for the wifi, cost me $50, no better, they then made me upgrade the modem for another $70 still no improvement.

Great customer service

published

I've found the service to be generally reliable and certainly quicker than my previous ADSL+ with Optus. But I think what sets Aussie apart is the great locally based customer service team. Optus take note, your customers are more than numbers.
Keep it up Aussie.

Fixed NBN Wireless- Totally Awesome

published

We are rural, on NBN Fixed Wireless. We were previously with Optus and even though we were fairly happy with their service, which was dearer and didn’t offer the speeds we currently are able to get, we would never ever go through anyone else. We get double the speeds now, with no dropouts that we are not advised about. Aussie has the best phone app, so I always know what is going on, current speeds, bill details etc all at a glance. I cannot believe we didn’t go ahead with them sooner. Cannot recommend high enough! You even get to speak to an actual person in Australia when you connect with them and they lead you through the process, so easy!

We are seniors and after years of substandard ADSL we have a reliable NBN service with Aussie Broadband we have been with them now for 2 months. Choosing this company was easy, they came highly recommended by IT professionals. From the moment I contacted them to the date of installation by myself (and I am not tech savvy) the transaction has been a breeze. Our connection speed has been excellent and we no longer have to wait for that irritating circle to continuously go round and do my head in. We can now update, stream and download seamlessly. Thank you Aussie Broadband.

Excellent service and interactions!

I had problems with NBN dropping out. Contacted Aussie broadband and was escalated quickly. The techs who came to fix were wonderful. The Aussie broadband folks I dealt with couldn't have been kinder and more caring in a difficult situation in that they are working from home with limited access to their usual business set up.
They even followed up with phone calls for a couple of weeks just to ensure all was perfect. Best company I've dealt with in a long time!

Great Company

published

Great company, great communication. I've used a lot of NBN companies and Aussie Broadband is the stand out winner. Great customer support. We had a lot of drop outs and slow speeds for years. After raising the issue with other providers Aussie Broadband was the only one who contacted NBN co and got someone to come out and fix it. They are competitive in pricing but they're just great for customer service. I wouldn't use anyone else now.

Contactable, efficient, organised, really friendly, good speed and all from Morwell...wow! I use the NBN for work - streaming videos and classes. Having a reliable service is as important as having someone on the end of the phone in case of a problem. Aussie really hasn't missed a beat, so far.

Great NBN performance. Excellent proactive technical support.

I had an FTTN connection with Telstra. After installing the equipment to upgrade to FTTP, I contacted Telstra and was told the switchover would take 10 business days. By comparison, I picked up the Aussie Broadband modem from the Post Office around 9 AM and received an SMS from Aussie around midday the same day saying the switchover to FTTP had been activated. The connection has been very stable and follow-up service from the Aussie staff has been outstanding. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I am so glad I made the change.

Aussie broadband is easy and works

published

I switched from another provider about 8 months ago and Aussie has been the best! They don’t call me, I don’t call them, the internet works all the time. I occasionally get a courtesy email to say that NBN is servicing the lines and I might experience an outage but aside from one short outage, none of these outages agave affected me. Good service, Aussie based. Easy

NBN 50 (Standard Plus)

I am about to Sign up with Aussie Broadband on a 50/20 plan. I am on FTTN. Anyone already with Aussie Broadband on FTTN with 50/20 plan?? If yes how is the speed that you are getting during peak hours (via Speedtest.net/Speakeasy.net)?
Would you recommend Aussie & this plan. I am in Hillside 3037 Victoria
Thanks

Hey Nick. It depends on the quality of your copper wiring to the node and how far you are from that node. For example: I am 1.2km from the node and the quality of the copper is terrible. My maximum possible speed is 37mbps but it proved to be too unstable to use so I went back down to 25/5. :'(

Most modems can tell you what your maximum connection speed is to the node if you log in and check the advanced connection summary settings.

AussieBB have put their hand up and state they will NEVER allow their service to be affected by speed issues, even during peak times. But the internet in general is about 5mbps slower than usual right now with so many people at home.

I would highly recommend NOT using Speedtest.net as they promote services from providers, including Foxtel, Optus, etc so the tests are not reliable as they may be giving you false readings to try and sell you a plan with someone else.

Use Aussie's own speed test here: http://speed.aussiebroadband.com.au/. Or https://www.ozspeedtest.com.

Official RepAussie Broadband

Hi Nick, FTTN, is really dependent on your distance from the node. We will send you a test to let you know your line capabilities after sign up. You can also run the line test in our app after sign up as well. Unfortunately, we cannot guess it prior to those tests. Hope that helps -Mel

Hi rajenfoto, no, unfortunately. I would recommend finding a licenced cabler to have a look at the internal cabling. Unfortunately, internal wiring is up to the homeowner or landlord to fix. Sorry we couldn't be of more help. -Mel
