Excellent and responsive team!
I came across Austin Computers when looking for a Corsair keyboard. I placed an order as their prices for that specific keyboard was the cheapest around.
Despite expected delays due to the increased demand, my order was dispatched within 24hours.
The online team, including Ricky and Zelin were responsive and worked around the clock to keep me informed.
Overall extremely happy with their customer service! For any future tech needs i will be looking at their website first !

Zero after sales service and can't get through to them.
Refuse to shop there anymore even though the Rockingham store is the closest PC parts store to me, I will go elsewhere and price match if possible, if I can spend the rest of my life not giving them any more money I will. Just hope I don't need to contact them for warranty service.

Useless, and service is terrible, its like they hired hermits to deal with customers
I have been to Austin about 4 times in the last 3 weeks. All times they have had the most awkward customer service people (who should be behind a computer screen not dealing with customers) and their advice has been unhelpful. I have also found their stock system to be totally useless by saying something is in stock only to show up at the store and have them say they can't find it, or it isn't in stock, 3 separate times. False advertising. I wont be back here, I'll go to either PLE, netplus and Arrow over this every time from now on.

they just don't care impossible to reach via their communication systems
I have used this local business for years. I recently took a PC in for some minor issues one i had purchased at the same store. They did nothing i ask for them to do. They are impossible to call which is their elected communication system with their customers. Then when you make a comment you get the old we are so business well sparkie everyone is busy in business but we don't try and screw off the customer. I will never go back and would not recommend this local business to anyone.

Still waiting
I've been using austin computers for years. And I've been getting bad service for years. If you buy a single item in store you can expect to wait at the counter. Wait for someone to go out back and find it. Make sure you have a spare half hour for a single item. And hell if you order online and after waiting days for next day delivery, dont expect an email reply for a simple one line question. And boy do they get ticked when you ask them to price you up a starter bundle (motherboard +cpu + ram) and there in stock is never accurate. I'll use ple in the future. Atleast there not incompetent. Get replys to emails same day with ple.

Very smooth transaction
Just ordered a new in-stock PCIE Wifi/BT card from Austin Computers in Sydney from their website with self-pickup option. The transaction was very easy and smooth. I will definitely be using them in future, btw - the prices are very reasonable infarct the cheapest by a fair margin and also open on a Saturday. Thank you guys.

"In Stock" means nothing.
Checked online to see if item was Stocked. Phoned before going to the store, server was sure it was in the warehouse but took my number. He phoned later; not in stock, be here in a week. 10 days later I tried to call to query progress. Stayed on hold for 5 minutes. That's it. Amazon has my money now.

Avoid this store
Every time I've ordered from Austin Computers I've had to ring up as they don't ship orders in a timely fashion.
I made a small order of a few ram sticks for express shipping, waited for 2 weeks and it was still pending. I had to ring up and they told me they'd contact the warehouse and get back to me. No call back. Two days later it was finally marked as shipped, however I did not receive a tracking number. I email their sales team, no reply. A few days later I ring up again, and they put me on hold to check with the warehouse, turns out it h...Read more
adn't even been shipped yet and they then put it in for waiting for pick up from the courier, yet for some reason they couldn't provide me with a tracking number. A few days later and I finally receive my RAM. Avoid purchasing from their store unless you want a headache. Just under a month for express is ridiculous.Similar opinion? Great customer service, but lousy website.
I'm a regular visitor to computer stores, I regularly build computer systems for many companies and people.
I hadn't visited or used Austin computers in Osborne Park for many years, but given the bad service at a nearby competitor, I decided to take my business to Austin Computers in future.
I have visited them twice so far recently.
The show room has had an update. It is now has a better overall layout and presentation. I have seen up to three people on the counter assisting customers.
On my last visit, there where two assistants on the co...Read more

Bought a defective product. Charged me restocking fee when asked for refund.
Purchased a USB3 harddrive dock online, but picked it up in store. Collected it, took it home and it didn't work. I tried about 8 hard drives on it, and none of them read - the drive would pop up and disappear. Went back to store for refund, and although the guy said he had heard of the issue before, it worked for him so he charged be a 20% restocking fee.

Great quality and fantastic support
I built my first PC with my parts coming exclusively from Austin Computers. Once purchased, I needed to go through a security check due to the amount of parts purchased (which was very reassuring). Unfortunately there was a faulty part. Of course is not their fault as they are the reseller.la dm do not test parts for legal purposes. The support staff including Ricky He, were incredible with their ability to reply to my emails quickly and find solutions to my problem, which was the ram. He was able to identify the issue with my PC (no signal to ...Read more
the monitor) and send replacement parts in a small amount of time. After that experience, I’ll certainly be buying future products there and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for parts. I understand some reviews say otherwise, however it is in my opinion that Austin Computers are the place to go to.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Contacted their sales team about a potential price match, ended up getting it and saving $100+ on my order. Picked up all parts on the next day from the store and so far no issues.

Been deceptive for years
Well, their website Is currently broken and when it is up, it is stupidly slow to open. But that's not my main complaint. They deceptively charge more for items purchased at the Rockingham store and have done for years. They will have a price advertised on the website and yet when you arrive at the store you learn it cost's $5-10 more. When asked why it cost's more, I was told it was outside the Perth metro area, which it isn't.
I have also witnessed them selling customers old, overpriced hardware when there was cheaper and better options avai...Read more

Is the security check before getting parts safe? Do the parts come in a neat condition or are they left open?
1 answer
I picked up the parts from the Joondalup store direct so everything was in an unopened box. Generally, though I have never had an issue with security checks when ordering items on line, most times they go by the description on the packaging slip and dont even open the box. They use pretty sophisticated xrays now so they only open suspicious parcels.
