Lies claiming "attempted delivery" third time in three weeks and then takes to post office
In the last three weeks I have received three parcels, all of which I have had to go to the post office to collect, waiting an hour at a time due to lines out of the door. Despite changing the times of day the line has been the same. I get a notification claiming "delivery attempted". On each occasion this has been entirely false and I presume just the postman being lazy and failing to do his or her job. I order online because I do not have time to go out and pick things up. I have a house, not an apartment, with easy access to the gate and fro...Read more
nt door. I've been home on each occasion (and responded each time to the early text message from Aus Post stating 'yes I will be home to collect') and nobody has once attempted delivery. I am SO sick of this. I can't get to the post office usually until a Saturday and who wants to spend their Saturday doing that when we pay for a service that AusPost consistently fails to deliver. Absolutely sick of it.

I’ve never had any issues with aus post delivering my parcels only have I ever had a run in with couriers please. Their delivery drivers are friendly and if I were to miss my delivery picking up the parcel is simple

Foreign couriers who can't read or speak English
I have noticed Aust Post has largely increased employment with foreigners from a particular country. I don't have a problem with their employment but I do take issue when they're employed to be able to read addresses so they can courier parcels to the correct address. A perfect example was when I posted a parcel to Sydney only to have it couriered to me the next day because the "foreigner" didn't understand the difference between "sender / receiver". Similarly I have had these "same" couriers come and pick up parcels that were incorrectly deliv...Read more
ered to me. Like others on this site I am also waiting for my small package from Sydney bought on 6 April which is still missing. I was notified 2 weeks ago by"Benjamin" from help centre who apparently "(I have) met with the driver responsible for the delivery of this item, and after reviewing route and tracking information, they recall that this item was delivered to an incorrect address. We’ve successfully retrieved the item from that address and will redeliver it to you as soon as possible" AND I still DO NOT have it!! I saw a courier in my street two days ago and stopped to ask if my parcel was amongst those. Again with the "same type" of foreigner, I had to repeat three time my address. In the end I just drove off. Aust Post HR manager needs their employment terminated. Your poor hiring strategy is contributing to the overwhelming problems the public have with deliveries (just check out other review sites on Aust Post). Sack human resources and write in the couriers' job description that it is MANDATORY all employers can read fluently and speak English.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

100% lies as to attempted delivery
Australia Post, that profitable government entity, has outdone itself once again. A delivery was to arrive today, according to Australia Post. I guess my second mistake was believing its rubbish as to delivery timing. Predictably, at 4.49pm, nearly knock off time, I received this old chestnut of an update:
It's coming today

is convoluted and requires the person making the complaint - or even inquiring about failure to deliver and missing items - to jump through hoops and register at your website, sit for 5-10 minutes waiting to see whether pages will load, only to be met with a further self-serving obsequious response not unlike your own. Action is what I want, and the services for which I’ve paid. Australia Post fails at both, repeatedly. It’s remarkable that a government owned entity is permitted to so flagrantly continue to breach Australian Consumer Law while monopolising a market.Similar opinion? Extremely poor service
My online order was posted on 31st March in MEL. I live in MEL. It is now the 13th April and I still do not have my parcel. There have been no tracking details since the original details were posted on the 1th April. I have submitted 1 online inquiries to Australia Post to find out where my parcel is with no response. I have contacted the company that sent the parcel and I have tried calling Australia Post but couldn't get through to anyone. People need to stop using COVID19 as an excuse for inefficiency. If it is not delivered by next week, I an going to contact the ACCC and see if they can help. Australian businesses will not survive this year if Australia Post do not improve their service. I would have given zero stars for my review but that wasn't an option.1 comment

Late arrival
My package was supposed to arrive between 7/4/2020 and 9/4/2020. I have to be home because it requires a signature. Still hasn't arrived. Tracking has not been updated since it was picked up by the courier on 6/4/2020. No advice that it would be late. Still says it is on time.

Never received package
Package was not delivered at my address.
Contacted Australia post and asked for description (baby formula) got a reply saying a lady holding a baby answered door.
NOT CORRECT! The last email I received was to confirm there was no parcel at my location. I didn’t respond. What a joke.
No idea who’s house it went to or where it is right now
I don’t have money to just throw out the window.

Unreliable
There is no reason (not even coronavirus) why it should take 2 weeks to get a package within the same country! Hire more people, send out more trucks, extend hours. There are so many people looking for work in this time it is inconceivable how this company has fallen so behind. It makes people not want to buy online when the economy and businesses really need it.

Delivery Driver didn't knock & left a card for me to pick it up during the coronavirus lockdown
I signed up for notifications to track my parcel & I've been refreshing their website checking the tracking details. When I refreshed the tracking details I saw "attempted delivery-no-one in attendance". The delivery driver didn't even knock, he just put the card on my front door & took off. Now I have to wait up to 3 days for redelivery, a further 3 days on edge waiting for their card ninja slinging delivery drivers. I'm self isolating due to the coronavirus, it's already stressful enough without their drivers doing this to customers now.

system hadn't updated. I ended up with a CSR yelling at me down the phone about not being able to re~deliver it because it's a pandemic & they've just got a memo stating they aren't able to do re~deliveries, even though I was told otherwise 2days prior. The CSR was that rude to me, I asked to speak to his manager. The manager said it would be re~delivered, I got my parcel 7days AFTER they failed to knock & deliver it the 1st time. If your drivers can't be bothered knocking on the door, at least update your tracking system so customers can track their parcel to their door!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

How Australia Post is still operating is beyond me. Absolutely pathetic.
I was expecting 3 parcels. All were posted on the same day, same time, same place. 3 different tacking numbers, travelling from Melbourne to Brisbane.
2 out of 3 arrive in Brisbane on time. The 3rd? Oh no!! It’s days behind.

I have been waiting quite some time now for a parcel to arrive. It was originally sent from the USA but arrived in Sydney on Sunday the 12th May. And when tracking it it says that it departed Sydney Sunday 12th May at around 8.40am to arrive at its destination (me) on the Gold Coast Qld. But it still has not arrived. That seems way too long for a parcel to come from Sydney to the Gold Coast? I've had over night parcels before. Can you possibly let me know any more information. The parcel tracking number is LX630472362US. Any information would be greatly appreciated please. I desperately NEED this package asap AND I paid for Priority international shipping too! Thanks again, Nyree

Sami M.Australia Post
Hey Nyree,
I understand you are eager to receive this item. I've had a look at the scans for this on our internal system and can see that this hasn't arrived in Australia yet.
USPS' tracking runs off an estimate of when the parcel will arrive in the destination country, based on the flight manifest they anticipate the parcel will go on. Of course, delays at airports do happen and your parcel doesn't always make it onto the plane USPS thinks it will get on, which causes that estimation to be thrown out. Their scans however, do not update to reflect any changes.
When waiting for an international article to come here, it’s always best to go by what our scans show, as we'll update it once it actually arrives here.
If you don't have this item by this time next week at the latest I recommend contacting the sender so they can initiate an investigation to look into this further with USPS. If you have concerns you can also contact them now if you like for assistance.

Sami M.Australia Post
Hey Opik,
I've had a look at the scans on the eCommerce site and can see that this hasn't been handed over to us yet. Once it is a new tracking number might be generated and the option to track it on our website will be available. Until this has occurred we are unable to estimate the delivery time frame.
If you have any concerns that the article is taking too long, please contact the sender for further assistance.
