Love I ordered something from PrettyLittleThing it took 4.5 weeks to arrive in Syd.
The parcel stayed in a Perth facility for 3 weeks until I lodged a complaint then it was actioned and shipped to Syd.

OK so COVID-19 has resulted in delays. I'm sure we all understand this.
What we don't understand is why COVID-19 has resulted in Australia Post no longer scanning parcels.
What we don't understand is why Australia Post is working with a "skeleton staff" at a time when business is absolutely booming.
What we don't understand is why Australia Post is still accepting parcels for Express Post and charging the going rate when Express delivery is not being achieved.

Well stated, I agree! I find the information on website ambiguous and dishonest. And the tracking system is arbitrary and non-transparent. There were deep systemic network issues prior to Covid 19, online parcel delivery has been AP's main business for years now, there have been years of Xmas and sales periods from which lessons could have been learned, the capital cities of Perth and Darwin (apart from their CBDS) are *still* officially outside the Express network and considered regional areas. Inefficiency appears deeply embedded. I have no doubt all/majority of the on-the ground staff are working extremely hardannd around the clock atm and it must be awafully stressful, but when there are sytemic falws, hard work just does not solve endemic, structual problems. There have been issues at times with some automated sorting machines.
A decent system that is already largely efficient is obviously going to cope better when there are exceptional circumstances such as those we are currently facing.

Talking to the bloke at our LPO he says loss rates on parcels has increased by over 100%. He says there is no logic to the COVID-19 excuses given they've stopped tracking parcels to save time. He thinks AP employees are taking advantage of the mess their management have made of this and are pilfering more than normal.

Hey anyone who can help!
I’ve currently been stressing day and night due to a parcel I should’ve received latest on the 15th of April but is now 3 days overdue with the last scan being “emanifested for departure” which was scanned on the 5th of April.
My parcel is coming from prettylittlething UK
To Melbourne Victoria.
Having no updates or scans after the 5th is starting to worry me as I don’t know where the parcel is located or in this case lost.
I want to believe it’s either missed a scan or is just a massive delay from the covid backlog.
I have an investigation running with auspost but I haven’t been updated with my case in days and all I want is to know in the end I will receive my parcel :(

Hi Milan. I have the same problem. I managed to get through to an Australia post representative yesterday who told me that they are working with skeleton staff and are not able to employ more people due to the government restrictions so they have a huge backlog. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do except be patient. If you want to speak to someone from Australia post go to their chatbox during office hours. I hope this helps.

Hey hun Thankyou for your response, has you order also been last scanned at emanifested almost two weeks now :/

I wouldn't be too concerned judging by the amount of negative review bombs they're just backlogged. I'm waiting on a $3500 PC that was supposed to be delivered on the 5th and there's still no tracking updates from when it was shipped on the 25th of March.

Hi Zara. I have the same problem. I have just finally managed to get through to an Australia post rep. Apparently there is a huge backlog of packages with only skeleton staff to process. I asked if they will be employing more people to help clear the backlog, apparently they can't due to government restrictions. I know it's frustrating especially when you can't get answers that's why I'm responding to your query. I guess we just have to wait patiently, there's nothing we can do except try to get through to a representative on their chatbox.

Oh that's lovely of you to share this. I have been messaging the sender and they don't know what's happening either. I just thought its very abnormal for the status to remain the same for two weeks now. Let's wait and see if anyone gets back to us here about it. Thanks again :)

Express Eparcel, tracking 2BX1013881010320. Dispatched from NZ 07/04/2020, sorted at Strathfield NSW on 12/04. Following instructions that I am directed to follow at the AP website, I am relying on the tracking status that says that parcel is on time and delivery expected today - 15-04-2020. I am attempting to feel reassured by the information I am now pointedly directed to when I check tracking, the info that tells me something along the lines of "I may notice my item is coming from a different location than usual..." (not a direct quote but the meaning is clear). I am interpreting this as indicating that my express eparcel has arrived from Strathfield NSW pre-sorted with other perth parcels/mail, and is currently aboard for delivery today. I am assuming tracking will not update again today until my parcel is delivered from this alternative location. In other words, I am assuming that my express item is now on board for delivery in the next 8 hours, and that tracking has not updated for operational reasons related to flexible practices being undertaken due to the present high demand.

Question: Have I misinterpreted the message on AP website? It's a little confusing and perhaps I need to read more between the lines?

I'm in the exact same position, mine just updated today after nothing for several days, mine pretty much says exactly to the word yours does and it's coming from the US, it says (Parcel arrived at the processing hub) that was on the 15th, then before that it said (Parcel eManifested for Departure) on the 7th, I can't find anywhere what this means, my parcel is due to be delivered between the 15th-24th April, so it's still within it's time frame, it would be good to know what all that tracking information means tho, hopefully we can get some answers on here

Luke

Mine is due the 20th April. My guess is that it has been processed somewhere in Australia because it doesn't show the location; I suppose it would have been US otherwise. To confuse things further, it's not clear who is the actual courier, APG, Aramex, Fastway (which are all the same company in the end)? One thing only is clear, I'll carefully avoid eBay's GSP in the future.

Marius P.
Marius P.

Yea same here, first and last time I use GSP, my last update the location is also blank, all the others say US, well hopefully our parcels will be here very soon.

The only answer I could get for a parcel that was supposed to be delivered last week was that it would take 10 days before they could tell me where it might be. Given Easter holidays that will be a month for them to work out where the parcel is (if they can find it) for a Delivery that they initially quoted as 4-5 days.

Given it is still in Sydney there's not much chance of it getting here in the next 48 hours is there?
All I'm getting is a whole lot of excuses including the latest one that Australia Post doesn't have a delivery address.
When I track this item via My Post the delivery address (my home address) is clearly shown.
I believe I'm being lied to.
Deliver it or pay out via your insurance.

This is the latest response from Australia Post via My Post
"We can't provide a reason for the delay in fact"
FFS - isn't it Australia Post's job to deliver parcels and if there's a problem to know what that problem is?
