Can’t understand why all the complaints
I have had great experience with the service, including help lines, and I have been very happy with the reasonable call charges.
Only problem was unwanted data using my credit. However that was easily fixed, on Travel SIM’s advice, by my changing my travel phone settings to turn off the data usage.
Travel SIM now issue Australian rather than Estonian phone numbers too.

Terrible do not buy - would rate no stars if possible!
Have only been able to make a couple of phone calls and then I went into negative balance. Loaded the min $25 credit (for calls) and $25 for data the had no access at all. Tried getting help on the 24/7 line and via email - no response! This is a terrible rip off, and a let down when most needed. Do not buy!

Australia Post Travel Sim( prepaid)
This was not good value for money. Frequent recording” experiencing heavy traffic, call back later” when not convenient to do so.?not enough bandwidth?
Couldn’t send emails to Australia(home carrier is Telstra)but no advice/ warning about how to solve this issue. Need to keep recharging account every 6 months or lose it,especially when no plans to go overseas for longer interval. Could not recommend this product.

the worst service ever
This service should be stopped. I could not get service for data, or text messages or internet or phone calls in Ecuador, Chile and Peru. It was dangerous because I could not use maps in these dangerous countries. My business suffered also because of the lack of service - they just keep asking for more money. It might sound cheap but you get what you pay for. DO NOT USE IT.

Useless
I put the SIM in the phone in Australia, all working OK. Could not use at the airport in China neither could I use either phone or data in UK where I spent most of my time. Wasted an awful lot of money on SIM and data pack. Ended up buying a cheap phone in UK and PAYG

Not bad, something is better than nothing
I find it ok. Some times no service but you get service as promised. I purchased data pack. Speed was bit slow though, but what more you want. No complains.

Useless - Do not buy
Terrible product:
* No voicemail
* Ridiculous overpriced rates both in Australia and overseas for both incoming and outgoing calls
* Randomly directed me to update the SIM card after a few months - very disorganized on their part
* When I was overseas (in New Zealand!) they sent a message that I should respond with my return date or implying they would discontinue the service if not - it is supposed to be a 'TRAVEL' SIM. The icing on the cake was that I couldn't respond to the message as MMS was not activated on the service.
Repeat: Terrible product - Useless for travellers - Do not buy

DO NOT BOTHER WITH AUSPOST SIM!!!!
I’m another angry Auspost SIM customer. It was an absolute nightmare to use in any and every Zone 1 and 2 country I travelled to.
I researched this SIM’s benefits and selected it for its promise of seamless call access through both zones, but no!!! it took an average of 3 days to sync in every city we visited. Useless!!!!! We were flying in and out of countries every 3-4 days.
It still managed to chew up $80 worth of (call and data) credit, despite not being able to make a single phone call!!! And it is astonishing that there is no way to view a call log to review where money has been spent.
Clearly, this SIM needs to be deleted from the market place. I am only one of many, many similar complaints. See more below..

Keeps losing service in US and takes a very long time to port numbers
Bought 4 SIM cards - only two ported within 4 days, 1 while we were already overseas, and one never ported (it has been over 2 weeks). Calls and data lose signal constantly in US.

Cool service at kathmandu
Great, worked kathmandu nepal @ top of hill @ kopan, dropped out too & came back though, but pleased worked at all, only used half gig over weeks there as did $25 data pack & used $5cr for texts.
Using messenger & WhatsApp for calls if add country code & state code without the zero eg 07 qld add +61 aus then 7 then business number worked via WhatsApp for free to call travel agent, so surprised it worked & so was he.
Texting worked fine too, but if add their country code.
Ps need data roaming on, I'm guessing location, data & maybe wifi just incase & I didn't use power saver as I'd heard affects signal.
Thanks aus post people :) I'm happy

Neverending problems but nice customer service people
I've used this AusPost TravelSIM for 6 months, in Aus (local plan) and overseas, and I'm now up above 10 new and distinct issues with their service. The customer service people are lovely, and they usually compensate me credit for the annoyances, but when issues are a monthly occurrence (for the first few months), then a weekly occurrence, and then a daily occurrence (3 incidents this week including **8 days and counting without service**, all without explanation) there is something very very VERY wrong. The "Level 2" tech support only works b...Read more
usiness hours, so if you have one of the trickier issues, you're going without a phone for many days. As for time to reply: On email: They take days/weeks to reply to customer service emails. On Phone: half the time you wait 20 minutes before being told to "please leave a message" (which they have not, in 3 experiences, ever actioned). The other half the time you call it takes about 20 minutes to reach them. Again, their people are friendly, but that's ALL I can say that's positive about a service which isn't serving me. Really, it's utterly astonishing to me that after 10 different problems (from cutting off my credit while overseas because of their own failed math, to my local phone plan lapsing into SOS mode for 8 straight days and a dozen calls to customer support) they can continue to find new ways of wrecking the customer's experience with what's really quite a good value offering (if you travel a lot).Similar opinion? Very unreliable.
Sometimes it worked other times it didn't. Had to constantly reboot phone and login screen would freeze all the time. Not a phone problem because everything else worked fine. Would not recommend and also very expensive.

Cumbersome, expensive and not worth the grief
We carried this hopeless sim card for 55,000 klms overland through Mongolia, Russia and beyond. We bought 2 in a pack, one for each of us. Regardless of whether we were using it correctly or not, we ran out of credit and data almost straight away and hadn't even used it!!!. How does that happen? There were heaps of sms conversations apparently administrative ??? Not to be trusted. It chewed up 1 Gb data really fast. I advise you all to buy a local sim wherever you go. It will be better in the long run and far more reliable. They are the best va...Read more
lue, way cheaper, easy to obtain, a snack to use and way more data to use chasing essentials like accommodation and transport. We only bought a travelsim before setting off because we were nervous that we would end up with nothing other than the home sim and roaming switched on .... not good, very expensive method. Local sims for each country worked perfectly. We could buy 30 day expiry cards with 5+ Gb data for less than $10AUD and no roaming required to use them. They also work straight away in the phone. I used a dual sim phone. Wow! too easy.Purchased in May 2021 at Australia Post Offices for $50.00.

Not happy ... left high a dry with little service
I travelled to Malaysia and Borneo in late October and early November. My usual provider didnt offer global roaming. Rather than wait until arriving in Malaysia I bought an Australia Post travel SIM in Melbourne before I left. It was simple to buy and activate but the AP staff couldnt tell me anything about it, not even what the $25 cost included. I received the activation confirmation message but when I put the SIM in my phone at Kuala Lumpur airport there was no service.
In Kota Kinabalu I finally logged in but only for phone ... no Interne...Read more

Worst travel SIM I have ever used.
I went on a family trip to Thailand this October for one week. Several years ago, I had purchased a Woolworths Global Roaming SIM for use while I was travelling Europe and it was incredible. I wanted to get the same SIM card again, but was told it no longer existed. So, I decided to purchase an Australia Post Travel SIM... Boy, was that a mistake. I tried the first SIM that I had purchased a few days before my departure and it would not work at all. Upon being inserted into my phone, even though I had activated my SIM, waited the required amoun...Read more
t of time for it to process, no service was being shown and I was constantly receiving an error message saying "SIM not provisioned for voice." I called Optus and made absolutely 100% sure that my phone wasn't locked - it wasn't. I then called Australia Post Travel SIM for help and spoke to a lovely young lady who said the SIM must be faulty and advised me that, upon purchase of another SIM, my $30 of purchased credit would rollover onto the new account and the extra $25 would be refunded back into my account (I am still yet to see a cent.) I was running out of time, as my family and I were leaving for the airport that very evening, so I rushed to my nearest Australia Post store and purchased another SIM, this time choosing to have a different number, rather than keep my own, as that may have been the trouble last time. I put the card in my phone after activating and THANK GOD! It worked! However... Upon my arrival in Thailand, that "SIM not provisioned for voice" message started coming up again and again and nothing I could do would help. I tried calling Travel SIM again, only to be given no help whatsoever. Thankfully, I brought my trusty Optus SIM along with me and could use that to contact people back home... One hundred and fifty dollars later, mind you. My mother and brother had also purchased Aus Post Travel SIMs and their phones more or less worked for the most part, though trying to call each other was a nightmare, as we were constantly told their number was disconnected. All in all, I wasted a huge amount of time and money on something that should have worked for me without issue the first time around. Next time, I will just be using a data pack with my original provider. Extremely disappointed.Purchased in October 2021 at Australia Post Offices.

Useless
Before leaving Australia, I bought 2 AusPost Travel SIM cards + credit to use while travelling in Italy for 3 weeks in October, one for my Huawei phone, the other for emergencies if that SIM failed to work [!!]. The woman at the shop told me she had activated both SIMs for me online. I didn't attempt to install either of them until arriving in Italy where, to my horror, neither worked. In my phone's Settings, it showed that I was connected to Optus while there but I found it impossible to send any txt messages to friends in Australia or Italy,...Read more
nor make any calls, local or international, except for the customary "Emergency call" if in personal distress. [I did, belatedly, discover that I had wifi capability that worked on the phone, but that was largely useless & unnecessary in the circumstances of the tour I was part of.] Nothing I did - install, reinstall the SIMs etc etc - worked. Neither of the SIMs completed the allegedly 'easy' set up of the phone by automatically ticking the required options that would have enabled action. No option that I ticked manually did so either. NOTHING worked. Total waste of $80. And, presumably, no possibility of a refund from AusPost, even if I can find the receipt now.Purchased in October 2021 for $80.00.

Easy to set up with free app & can choose new phone number or keep existing number. Login is too much - enter password then have to enter email & another password on 2nd screen. Doesn't show updated balance for a few days. Call & data rates competitive
