Very poor experience - took my money to make the sale but then emailed me saying it wasn't in stock. Still waiting...
They advertised a product (a high chair tray) in stock, then took my money, and emailed me saying they were out of stock, and I am still waiting for delivery 1 month later with no date of when it will be sent to me just apologies via email whenever I follow up. It's illegal in Australia to advertise that you have stock in order to make the sale, when in actual fact you don't have it. Very very poor site will not buy from them again. I have given them one more day to have it 'delivered' (they keep saying they are expecting delivery this/last week etc), and if it does;t come I've demanded a refund and will buy from some one who actually can honour their word. Waste of time.

Don't buy from Baby & Toddler Town!
Nothing is ever in stock but they don't tell you until after you have paid. Took 7 weeks to receive my last order. Terrible communication and customer service, I kept being told it was on its way. They never take responsibility. Avoid this site!

One of the worst customer service experiences ever
I ordered a baby bath, stand and bamboo towel online as a baby shower present, 1 1/2 weeks before the baby shower. All items were listed as on stock. Several days later I got an email advising 2 items were out of stock and the estimated time would be 3 weeks. At the 5 week mark and after zero additional communication I rang to chase it up. It took 3 phone calls. I was told it would be an additional 2 weeks then another 5 days to deliver. By this point the baby was several weeks old and would soon be too big for the stand.

good enough and asked them to either cancel the order and give me a full refund or throw in another $25 towel to the order. The lady went and asked a manager and came back to tell me they could do the extra towel. The shipping date was late by yet another week on what they told me. The package arrived without the agreed extra towel. There was also no note despite me ordering and paying for a greeting card. I will NEVER shop here again. Never buy from Baby And Toddler Town
I have never had a bad experience with baby online stores, until now. I ordered a product on the 12 Aug 19 and was advised a week later that is was out of stock and would be sent in about 3-4 weeks. I gave them the benefit of doubt and happily began my wait. Around the time I should have been getting a notification of the items being sent, I followed up with online message inquiring on the progress of my order. . Early last week I attempted to contact the company via a telephone call, which proved to be very difficult as the line was busy for over two hours. After getting hold of someone I advised that I no longer wanted the order as I sourced it from another online baby store (three days from order to my house). I was informed that the order would cancelled shortly and my money would be refunded. The attached image is of the order as it stands today (13 Oct 19), as it clearly states this order has not been cancelled and no money has be refunded. This experience has been a very disappointing and the lack of support from Baby and Toddler town appalling. Worst retail experience ever
I have never written a bad review before but.... Absolute worst service I have ever experienced from a retailer!!! Do not even consider purchasing from this company just to save a couple of dollars!

later it’s finally in, however since then 2 of the 4 items are now out of stock?!? This is all I received in the post (only 2 items and like this - not even properly boxed?!). Baby & toddler town didn’t even bother to contact me to tell me that they would only be sending 2 items two whole months after I had paid for all 4 of them. And no invoice was included either? I’ve simply received a refund for the 2 other items into my account, no email letting me know?? Do not order anything from this retailer, they are rude and offer terrible service. Their website is clearly manager very poorly and it’s been such a disappointment and they have very little respect for their customers. Appalling service. Worst I have ever experienced. This company is a sham do not purchase from their online sale.
I ordered a bumbleride indie pram from this website 6 weeks ago. At the time it was listed as “in stock”. It has been listed on their website as “in stock” ever since and is still for sale. They do not have this item in stock. They have not attempted to contact me in any way since they took the money for the pram off my credit card on 17th August. I called on 27th September (today) and they don’t have a date when it will arrive in their warehouse so I cancelled my order. Hopefully I get my money back, but I have concerns as they are clearly some sort of fraudulent scam, not a real business. Overall terrible experience. First and last time I buy through baby town! I have been waiting well over 4 weeks on a car seat I ordered online and was informed after the sale that they were out of stock! Won't be shopping again
Since having good experiences in store, I've placed two online orders. Both times items have been out of stock (while not being listed as so). Two months later I've had to ask for a refund (After twice being told two to three weeks wait on two different products). The only updates on my purchases were after I'd enquire- days or weeks later, if at all. I had to ask for the items that WERE in stock to be sent. Baby gear doesn't have a long usage life, what a waste of time.

Terrible Service & Now Spamming My Mobile
Service is slow, takes longer than what they quote to receive your products. I've asked them to stop sending me text messages but they keep doing it anyway! Company seems to care only about profit and not the customer experience.

Extremely poor service. Missing pieces
Waited over 2 months for an item to be delivered. Items went on sale again to the public before mine were delivered. Once arrived parts were missing. Sourced missing parts myself as it just wasn’t worth the hassle of contacting them again.
No positive comments unfortunately. Plenty of baby shops out there for future purchases.

Terrible service
I ignored the reviews and ordered a cot and a pram. What a surprise. Both out of stock. Money was taken but no communication on when the cot would be available for pick up. I am now stressed and worried as my big ticket items are in doubt of being here on time. The store has not even received my order 1 week after an online order. You CANNOT get through to these people on the phone. I was just put on hold and then phone down. Shameful.

Illegally sells products they don’t stock & accused me of fraud for reporting to my bank & fair trading
I placed an order two months ago with this company. Two weeks after the order (& money was taken) I still did not receive a tracking or dispatch email. I made several attempts at contact (phone & emails) before taking the matter further with my bank and fair trading NSW. My bank refunded me because the company refused to respond to requests for the credit card dispute. Fair trading also contacted the company in August 2022. My bank refunded me and suspiciously after complaining I got a dented box with a giant hole in it at the end of August. Much to my surprise in mid September, the company now contacted me accusing me of fraud for claiming a full refund with my bank. Additionally they made a second refund payment which wasn’t the full amount - had they communicated they did this earlier they wouldn’t be in this situation. I have no issue with sorting out the second refund payment but angry they were able to respond within an hour for money vs months for missing orders. As I’m NOT a thief and very transparent; I did return the smashed parcel box and all contents inside. Terrible; take your money but don't have the goods in stock
As per other reviews, I placed an order and they took payment straight away, but I then received an email 4 days later stating the items were not in stock and that it would be another 3-4 weeks before they will be available. There was no offer or option to cancel the order, given the inconvenience caused.

rvice. Based on the poor reviews here, I am wishing I went with the many more reputable and reliable stores and avoided Baby and Toddler Town all together. Babies grow and change quickly, 3-4 weeks is a LONG time to wait for something you need NOW. That's assuming they actually do come through with the goods in that time, which I am feeling doubtful about. Other stores will not sell you something that is not stocked (which as a previous reviewer pointed out is ILLEGAL), and will deliver the item within a few days. Avoid this place!
We purchased 3 items from the online store which was showing as in stock at the time. A day later we recieved an email stating 2 out of 3 items were out of stock and that we needed to wait 2 to 3 weeks, unacceptable! This company will sell you products that they undoubtedly know they have no stock of.
In the meantime, we missed out on a sale for the same items at a different store. We weren't offered a refund until we asked for it. Avoid this place!

ordered a cot was told it was no longer in stock had to wait 3 weeks. No probs “item” was shipped on the 26th of August! Awesome. 10 days went past and still nothing yet although it does state 2-5 business days in my area. I called them and they said the “cot” was sent back to these warehouse.
Makes me wonder if I hadn’t called or emailed if or when were they going to inform me it was sent back? Rather then have me wondering where the hell my purchase was.
Although at the end of it, i did receive a refund which I’m thankful for.

Will never shop here again
I purchased a stroller online. A later email informed me that there was no stock available and wait time was up to 3-4wks. Two months later and nothing. I was promised that I would be updated on my order. No call back or reply to my email. Rude sales staff could not care less. You should not be able to sell items that you do not have without any notice beforehand that there is no stock and NO ETA on wait time. Do not waste your time or money on this company.

Took my money, item out of stock!
My first shopping experience was great, so when it came to buying a second car seat I came straight back. How silly I was... despite the website saying the item was in stock I got an email saying they were out of stock and it would be another 2 to 3 weeks. I emailed and apparently stock should be in next week. Quite happy to charge my credit card but not deliver as promised. Should have paid the extra nine dollars and gone with Baby Bunting.

We spent a large amount of money on a 3 in one buggy purchase for what will be our first child. This was nearly 3 months ago. They told me it was out of stock after I'd ordered, that it'd be back 2-3 weeks later. This date came and went, and I keep chasing it up and it's still not in stock. At this rate I will not have it in time for our baby. No compensation or solution offered.

Hi everyone, Has anyone had any progress with speaking to Fair Trading?
I lost $1500 on a bugaboo, received an email saying it was on back order for 2-3 weeks, was provided a $50 voucher which I used and topped up with more money to order Bugaboo accessories, only to AGAIN receive an email saying all items were on back order 2-3 weeks (all paid for with debit card so my bank has no options for me).
From these reviews it appears the store was knowingly selling stock they never had or couldn't fulfill.
This appears to have been going on for 6 months +, which surely must be illegal?

The company is in liquidation. Did you receive an email from them to advise the matter? Bad luck to me too, I lost $1010 for Egg stroller. I paid by Zip not credit card & could not get money back as could not dispute or reverse transaction. Extremely angry but ...what can we do?
Yes I did.. I was more curious around whether fair trading could do anything as it sounds as though they had been trading insolvent with knowledge they had no stock for months and months... I cant believe we have no protection as consumers if not using credit!
What did you pay to them? Credit card? Did you lodge any dispute? I know, they are worst than a theft. Trading no stock & trying to take our $$$ as much as possible... Now they priority pay for secured debtors, employees but not us...

I haven’t received yet but they have dispatched it on the day they said they were expecting stock when I enquired, so fingers crossed I get it soon!
I ended up getting a refund
I received only 2 out of 4 items I paid for.... 2 months later?!? Zero email correspondence, simply received a refund with no correspondence telling me the other two items were no longer on stock. Shocking service, I am so angry. Never ever shopping with them again.

Thanks. I actually called them 3 times this morning, got a bit angry and they offered a refund. And I have now got my refund 3 hours later. I would definitely be calling them
