Great customer service
Very good service from Barefoot - quick and friendly. Unfortunately ADSL speed was very slow due to the local connection and internal house wiring :(( Have to cancel because of this, but I'd still recommend Barefoot!

Great Internet speed and friendly service. They do direct debit from your account so you don't have
Quick Internet. Always friendly service and they are Australian on the phone. Payment is direct debit from your bank which I enjoy because I don't have to worry about paying a paper bill. Never had a problem. Been with them for 12 months. I stream Netflix with no issues.

You let us know when it dropped and back to normal.
The connection is very reliable.
Yes we experienced dropouts, thought it was the connection, just about to reset the modem, when got a text notification from Barefoot.
I really appreciated the notification, when dropouts and when recrified.

Great Aussie company and good customer care
I have been with Barefoot now for over 12 months and have had no issues with them. I am a long way from Sydney.
The only issues I had was Telstra dropouts and my VPN service.
Barefoot did not give up easily and was able to pinpoint the problem being the VPN. Trial and error in the past 12 months but only on my end.
Barefoot has been rock solid.
Highly recommended.

Happy process, good customer service, product is unfortunately similar to all others in Australia, l
Occasional dropouts, difficulty with simultaneous multiple device use, overall slow service. This is however my experience of about 5 ISPs at all price points in Cable, ADSL and NBN. We are so far behind the rest of the world.

Reliable Service...
Barefoot is a reliable service that has good communication skills, however, existing members/loyal customers aren't able to change their plans easily, and are not rewarded with the same value as what new sign-ups are, which is disappointing. It would be lovely if we were acknowledged for our commitment to the company.

No Issues sofar.
Reliable Connection very few dropouts. When we ordered the connection our phone line was inactive. Barefoot had to get Telstra to repair line which was done quickly with no fuss. Download speed is about 17mb/s and upload 0.8mb/s which is not fast but seems to handle youtube streaming OK. We are about 1km from exchange on old copper phone line. In no hurry to get NBN FTTN, considering the distance of copper I wouldn't expect it to perform any better.

Never refunded me money for the time the internet was down!
Our internet was only active 10 days after barefoot told us that the internet was active.
We attempted three times to get some sort of deduction or compensation back. Every time we spoke to someone on the phone we have been told that they will double check and get back to us. Unfortunately nothing ever happened.
I would give more stars but based on my above mentioned experience and also based on the slow internet we are having, we can't give any more then 2 stars.

Just what the telco industry needed!!
Currently have ADSL with Barefoot, the whole joining up and activation experience was just first class. Modem arrived extremely quickly and they smashed there estimated activation date outta the park by about 1week or more.
Been feeling disillusioned dealing with the telco's (namely Telstra) of late and this experience has restored my faith in the industry. Cannot speak high enough about the Barefoot team excellent and straight forward no nonsense service.
Cannot wait until our mobile Telstra plans have expired to switch those over to Barefoot also!!

Top quality in both service and product
Our current ADSL is performing super well - stable & fast. So good that we hesitate to migrate to NBN, we may not have the same quality line but, 2nd thought, we can trust Barefoot Telecom can deliver good and reliable NBN service as well. Thanks

Reliable Connection
No issues encountered so far. Upstream is quite slow but it was expected since it is only 1mbps. Hoping for the availability of the NBN connection in our area soon. So that we can upgrade our existing ADSL connection to a much faster connection.

Best Telecommunications company by far
Clear speaking, friendly, get back to me when they say they will. The only drawback would be that they have to go through Telstra and the NBN exchange regarding any work that may need to be done and this delays everything. I honestly feel if Barefoot had immediate access to these services the wait time would be halved.
The only connection issues are associated with Telstra and the NBN unable to provide me with a stable connection. I’m happy that Barefoot will deal with them so I don’t have to.

Connection is reliable with no issues, despite being on the edge of the exchange. When we did have connection issues the staff were helpful in disgnosing and helping get them fixed, and quickly let us know if any outages occur in the area.

Great internet provider!
Congrats to the Barefoot team. We recently moved house and decided to switch from TPG to Barefoot. Excellent customer service, if you can't speak to an operator when you call, they take your name and number and ring you back! Promptly! The call centre is in Australia and they speak Australian English! They gave us accurate and timely updates on how our new connection was proceeding and we were connected days before we thought we would be. Excellent connection too (ADSL)...no Broadband in our suburb yet but we will stay with Barefoot when it becomes available. Highly recommended :)

Firstly, the claims you have made about fake product reviews are incorrect. All of our reviews on Product Review are 100% genuine and any review requires verification (proof of purchase) to be published. Please refer to this link for more information, which verifies this fact: https://business.ieatwords.com/what-are-verified-reviews-9fb2ed34ce8b In regards to your account, as previously advised via email, our billing team has reviewed your case. We can see your account has now been cancelled as requested. For full clarity, the timeline of your order was as follows: 1. You signed up online on Fri, Sep 14th 2018 at 11.07PM. 2. You received a confirmation email on sign up which included our CIS (Critical Information Summary). You accepted this CIS upon sign up. As outlined in our CIS (Critical Information Summary), a $59.00 line connection fee is charged for services connected with an inactive line and will usually be passed through on your second or third invoice. This is a direct pass-through charge by Telstra - it is not charged by Barefoot. 3. Payment for your order (your first-month plan fee in advance) was processed on Sat, Sep 15th 2018 at 2.41PM. 4. The first component of your ADSL order (the activation of your phone line) was placed on Sat, Sep 15th 2018 2:42PM. Upon this order being placed, you received an email which stated the following: "Your ADSL order is processed in two parts. Firstly, your currently inactive phone line is re-activated. This order has just been submitted and can take anywhere between 3 - 5 business days to be actioned by Telstra. Once your phone line is activated, we then process the order for the ADSL component of your service. This normally takes between 3 - 5 business days to be activated. Once your phone line has been activated and we have ordered your ADSL service you will receive another email. IMPORTANT: As advised on sign-up and in our Critical Information Summary (CIS), the fee to activate a currently inactive Telstra phone line incurs a standard 59.00 line connection fee. This is a direct pass-through charge from the carrier and will usually appear on your second or third invoice." 5. Your phone line was activated by the carrier on Tue, Sep 18th 2018 3.03PM. Upon activation of this phone line, you then received another email which stated the following: "Your ADSL order at ADDRESS has been submitted to the carrier and is currently being processed. An update on your order including an estimated activation date should be provided within three (3) business days." 6. Your ESTIMATED activation date was provided as 27/09/2018. 7. Your ADSL service was activated on Fri, Sep 28th 2018 6.42PM. 8. You contacted our support team on Tue, Oct 2nd 2018 3.41PM to advise that you wished to cancel the service and requested a full refund. You refused to perform any troubleshooting and you did not give us or the carrier an opportunity to rectify the issue with your service. 9. On Thu, Oct 4th 2018 4.55PM our billing team advised that as a gesture of goodwill, we are happy to return your monthly plan fee for the ADSL service as the service was only active for a few days and you did not use the service. However, the Telstra line re-connection fee will stand as this is not refundable because the phone line was activated as part of your order. As we already debited your first month's plan fee, this will be used to cover your line re-connection fee and as such, no refunds will be processed to your account. Your phone line was activated by the carrier on Tue, Sep 18th 2018 and regardless of whether this service was used or not, the service was active. Under the terms of the plan you signed up for, this fee is not refundable. This is a direct pass-through charge by Telstra - it is not charged by Barefoot. We sincerely believe that we have acted more than fairly in regards to this matter, and we will make no further comment as we can also see that you have an open TIO complaint. All future correspondence will be dealt with via the TIO. We wish you all the best with whichever provider you choose. Regards, The Barefoot Team
