Great product with Aussie support

published

I joined Barefoot as it was the cheapest for what I needed at the time. I found it to be easy to set up using a modem I bought myself at a local store and it was also easy to cancel when the time came. The speed was slightly above the advertised 'typical busy speed' and I didn't have any issues with it dropping out. The best part is the support call staff are caring and patient people who are easy to understand (they are in Australia!).

Great product and awesome service

published

I have been with Barefoot over 12 months now and have never regretted my decision. I get great internet and excellent phone service on the occasions I have had to call them regarding minor billing and modem issues. They have knowledgeable and professional service staff who respond quickly, are helpful and easy to converse with. I happily recommend them to friends!

The people who answer the phone, fix the problem. This is my favourite no-frills ISP and yet you also get excellent phone and web chat support when you want it.

Barefoot is very good

A problem that occurred was immediately and professionally solved. And I have a perfect streaming with the promised MB speed. Even with multiple users in action the same time. So I am happy and that since more than three years.

Barefoot NBN review.

Internet works fine and support is good. The lack of an smtp server for email clients is a royal pain in the neck. Effectively forces people on to web based email. This is not always desirable. The bundled mobile phones and landline are good value

I'll try that. Unfortunately, your support staff did not suggest this and instead told me use a web based mail service. No good to me as I have my own domain name.

Transition from ADSL went smoothly. 50 package gives me around 43 mbts.

published

50 package gives me around 43 mbps. Streaming is flawless. It all depends on the area.
Considering that Australia has gone from 56th to 62nd place in the world for internet speed.

Happy enough

published

Good phone support, never had any dramas connecting, a few drop outs here and there but for a bush town pretty happy. There maybe cheaper options but was happy with no lock in contracts.
Only negative I can think of is when changing address, if you're paid up for the month and move early in the month you have to start a new payment from when you move, so you might pay 2 months worth in for example 5 weeks. Have had to do it twice and a little dirty about it...

Great NBN & mobile service

published

I a NBN12 & NBN Plan (50, I think?) in 2 different houses and have not had significant dropouts. The service has been excellent and support is also good, especially because I get to speak to Australians. The mobile reception is also really good. The only minor issue is that I look forward when international roaming is available.

Dropouts happen, but speeds are good

published

Semi-reliable, dropouts happen every time there's a strong downpour of rain. Latency is 300ms+ during peak periods ~3months ago (lately okay). Currently using mobile data and not nbn to type this.

Good connection and service.

These guys provide good internet and customer service. There were occasional drop outs and slow downs in speeds, but this didn’t usually last long. On the odd occasion there was an issue the company would sent a text informing about it.

Good luck connecting to technical support

published

My NBN was scheduled to get connected today. The NBN guys came did a job like cowboys. Anyways that is not the issue, I wanted to connect to the technical support team to see whats next and why is my nbn not connected. I called them and left messages at 2 hours intervals when they said they would call within an hour. Technical support had no answers to any of my questions. I am planning to get a full refund and not go ahead with them. What a waste of time.

No Dramas Customer Support

published

Hardly any downtime, Speeds are consistent.
Initially when I started this connection, had discussion with customer care, and they were super fast and gave me the correct advice. Pretty impressed it. I was exploring lot of options, but I liked the simplicity, as bo marketing mail or msg bombarding, no bothering with calls... 'This is what it is' a simple theory, and it moved to to buy their connection.

Excellent value and service

Barefoot organised my switch to NBN, which happened quickly and without any fuss. Setup was easy with a BYO router, and the service has been flawless with no dropouts or slowdowns. Speeds consistently reach those advertised at peak times. Administration of my account is quite basic, but gives me everything I need. I would highly recommend Barefoot NBN.
