stay away
A total scam run by a very dishonest company. The site clearly states it charges $19.99 a month then proceeds to rob you by deducting $76.96 without your authorisation. Not only that it has you on an automated deduction system that does not allow you to cancel without going through a ridiculously unnecessary process ie. cancelling subscription by sending through a signed confirmation letter to an office located in Luxemburg! I cancelled my credit card just to be safe. Why they are allowed to operate in Australia is beyond me since there have been so many complaints.
Dangerous
Do not join this on line dating service in any manner. Their clients are Asian conmen and when you have so called spoken to them via email they then ask for money because they are in difficult circumstances, which is a lie. Most of the people on line do not exist and many are stolen identities. When you cancel your membership they won't accept and then send threatening emails to say "prove you cancelled" although the action was attended. They are fraudulent and should be exposed to the world in this manner. DO NOT GO ANY WHERE NEAR THIS COMPANY.
Scam scam scam
This site is a scam. They rely on tricking people using fine print. Their website is clearly designed to trick people into paying much more than they intended and then they make it almost impossible to cancel the automatic subscription that you did not agree to in the first place.

Rip off
Am disgusted with this site, I cancelled my subscription 3 months ago and they have now charged me again nearly $200 for nothing. This is fraud & I am reporting them to consumer affairs. Do not trust this site
Not to be?
This site 'popped up' when I was googling for singles activities. They promoted themselves very well and appeared to be genuine, so I subscribed. My experience gave the clear impression that be2 date site is not genuine, so my subscription was ended. About 8 or 10 months later I received a demand from a debt collector with threats of legal action.
Their actions speak for them.
Don’t waste your time or money
Not worth time or money. I was looking for a male between the age of 48-60, living within a 30 kilometre radius of where I live. My search criteria was pointless as I was matched with people in every state in Australia. Matches were outside my age range by up to 10 years either side of the lower and upper limit by up to 10 years. About 90% of men post fake photos and the administrators of the site allow this. Membership payment, read the fine print, they take six months up front, I thought it was lik another app that took it weekly via iTunes.
... Read moreI was very wrong. Next is the auto renewal, make sure you cancel it or you will be paying for a very substandard service ongoing. The primary purpose of this dating site (and others) is to get money out of people without providing what you have paid for. I questioned them about the mismatches versus their match guarantee I got a big fob off. In short, do not sign up!
Scam Dating Site
I've tried to cancel subscription with numerous emails and just as many automated responses demanding $212 from me. I'd cancelled my credit card to so as not to be taken for a ride. Now today I received an email from ARL Collections based in Melbourne, according to their website, demanding the $212.00 and requesting me to contact their office by phone.
Not sure what process is going to be on the cards, just sure as hell not going to get call them as they'd harass me over the phone. I've been receiving hundreds of scam emails since I bought the initial subscription.
DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS SITE
They do not disclose that they take hundreds of your dollars and the fine print no one ever bothers to read. They rely on people not reading.

Scammers
Stay well away from this site. They are rip offs and you'll never meet anyone off their site. Like every other reviewer here it is impossible to stop them taking money, or attempting to and then sending threatening letters.
Total scam.
Singles 50
An off shoot of be2 so avoid like the plague. Really card to get out of as they require you to fax them 14 days notice if you want to end it. Don't bother scammers for sure. Ended up cancelling credit card then getting threatening emails that I would get a debt collector onto me.
Scammers
This company is a joke - do not use them - I joined for 1 month with a big 19.95 showing on the page - next day I email and ask why 89$ odd was deducted - whoops I didn’t read the fine print that was 1 week not a month - try to cancel from 2 days after I join no luck after numerous emails I get know where they take out 179$ for 3 months they say I should have xxxld by 8th sept (2 weeks after I join)) for monies not 2 come out of my bank - then to top it off someone else uses my profile pics under another name email again no resolve - STAY AWAY fr BE2

Stay away from BE2
Scam, scam and the same story thought I signed for one month and was continually charged, could not find a way to get unsubscribed so had to cancel credit card and now I have a letter from arl debt collectors for monies I owe!! Most profiles are fake. Do not go anywhere near be2
Bad
Rating should be 0. How do they sleep at night
Total scam so wished i had read these reviews before going onto be2 site. Looks like iam not the only 1
Mark that a zero
Sign up confusing. How to cancel confusing. Responses to messages are automated and both messages I received were the same with only a few details changed. Don't be fooled by this site, so many contacts with no photos or completed profiles. No way to tell if there is any genuine people on there. I should have known better, learn from my mistake.
It's a complete dodgy company. I cannot believe that an Australian authority still allow them to ope
If you wanna waste your money - let's do it. Scammers are waiting for you. I gonna report this company to ACCC or consumer ombudsman!!!
Scam scam scam
1.Sign up was confusing price misleading (i was told I'd get 2 weeks free trial, if I liked it then. I would be charged for a 3 month subscription.
2.Said $161/3 months from the Australian .com.au site, so I assumed it was Australian dollars, not actually what dollars they charge.
3. I've paid almost $1000 in 7 months, did not realise the subscription would just renew again after 3 months, no emails asking if I'd like to renew they just took the money from my acct
4. So many members use fake profiles, i.e. same photo with 4 different user
Actually I’m giving ZERO star!! Disgusting website! Liars! Money sucker website!!
Wish I had seen all these reviews before joining this stupid dating website!! I joined around December 2017. Thought I only paid $10 for it but they charged me $239 for it! And I didn’t know it until today!!! Because they charged another additional $299.40. Woke up this morning and got an email from PayPal regarding this transaction! I was horrified! I reported to PayPal immediately and opened dispute! I informed my bank about it. And they told me they would look into this matter seriously. I then realised the transaction was from this stupid w
... Read moreebsite! And those transactions were unauthorised! I remember I deactivated my profile long ago! How come they re-activated my account without my knowledge?!? I logged in to my account and it was active!!! No notification whatsoever! Can you believe it? So my account was active without my knowledge!! And I didn’t know I was charged $239 way back in Dec 2017! Coz I didn’t check my bank account at that point of time so, they got away with it!!!! I am soooo angry and shocked! How could they do this? I lost $239 for nothing and I may lost another $299.40 ! This website is total scam!! Please don’t ever ever try to use this site. I’m trying to cancel my membership but looks like I’m going to have problems doing it just like other people. I cancelled my card too! I’m going to take legal action if they send me emails asking me $$$. A bunch of thieves these people are!! Hope PayPal cancels this transaction. They are still investigating my case. They told me there was a billing agreement! So what now? They just get my money, just like that! Wake up PayPal. It’s scammed! Read all these reviews. Simplistic complains!! I hope I get my money back. I’m soooo angry.FAKE, FRAUDULENT
This site is fake, profiles are fake and customer service responses are automated. It is a trap for the vulnerable and I suggest others to stay away. I guess we live and learn. I have disputed the charges and hopefully my financial institution with resolve this to my satisfaction. Once bitten twice shy.
Be2 scam... my response to them
To Whom It May Concern
I handed all of the information and communication between myself and be2 to the disputes/fraud department of my banking provider. They investigated the case and determined the charges to my card on behalf of be2 to be not in accordance with New Zealand Consumer Law and therefore fraudulent. On this basis the money was returned to me. I am more than happy to share the same information with your nominated collection agency and feel confidant the outcome will be the same. Please take this as the final communication betwee
... Read moren myself and be2 as, based on your communication below, I will not be making a payment so all further communication will be with your nominated collection agency. If further communication is received from be2 with regard to ‘payment reminders’ this will be considered harassment and I will be seeking legal advice accordingly. In addition, please remove all of my personal data from any source controlled, accessed or shared by be2. Please provide evidence of this being carried out. Failure to comply with this will be in breach of GDPR regulations of which you are compelled to comply. Thank youNever again!!!
OMG!!! This is the worst site I have ever been on. The profiles are fake!! I have not met anyone and now I have tried to cancel and will not let me. I sent a fax on May 24, with 3 follow up emails and they said not sent in time, which I did, before 13 June renewal date. I can't seem to find which card I paid it on but I have now emailed the copy and they are saying now they need transmission confirmation. This is a disgrace!! I have said just cancel the membership immediately or I will report them, I don't want any money back.. They leave the email a week before replying. I will keep sending emails until they cancel. Does anyone know who we can report this company too?
Absolutely disgusting costumer service
The worst dating app ever, some of the profile photos are not even real people, like generic models you’d find in a photo frame in a shop, I joined and with hours of paying $79 i wanted a refund, I emailed them and 3 days later they said too bad we don’t refund it’s in our terms and agreement. Which are not clearly written I might add so I’m sure many people face this problem.
Then say happy to delete your profile but you have to fax this and that or post it, but make sure it’s done 14 days before renew date or we will take a further $79 out
Scam don't join...
The worst dating online. They fake . I wish I read their review. I press button to join 1 month but they took my money for 6 months. I'm ok with it, I thought was my mistake. 6 months later they took my money again and more than last time. I tried to cancel my membership but the be2 website did not let me. Lucky I paid through my PayPal acc. I call them and I told them that I got scam by be2. I got the refund . so happy . thanks to PayPal customer service. Excellent job.
Should stop be2 operated in Australia. Scam. Scam.
Thieves!!!
I can only repeat what the other reviews have stated. “Fuzzy” photos which were to be revealed only if I paid another $299, so I attempted to cancel - impossible to contact them & they still took $299 from my bank account. There were all sorts of legal threats so I cancelled my credit card as my bank warned me they would still keep trying to withdraw from my account. Surely there is a way to get these criminals???
Scam- thieves -don't give credit card details
I clicked on $20 for 1 month trial. They took approx $90 out of my account. I only got matched with 20 guys. Most were false profiles. I spoke to 1 guy only who told me he got matched with 500 women. 1 month later I found they took an additional $200 from my account. In the fine print it says to cancel your account you need to send a fax and ONCE PROCESSED your account will no longer be billed.
Cancellation attempts
My issue is they make it hard to cancel. I had a written agreement that they required 14 days notice to cancel ahead of the June final membership date. I duly sent off a scanned written and signed letter in time for them to cancel adhering to the notice period. They then wrote back and said the notice period was not 2 weeks but 6 weeks and that I would be billed again for a further 6 months almost $300. I said that I had documentation of the 2 weeks and for them not to tarnish their brand name and hassle a 72 year old man. I then had to replace my credit card with a $10 fee as a precaution. They wrote back and said they made a mistake and there would be no further payments required. They were trying it on.
This site is a scam
I signed up and thought I was paying $24.98 for one month and they charged me 4 times the amount. When I queried it with them they told me that is what the weekly amount was. Luckily my
bank refunded me this money. Wish I had read the reviews first. I realised by reading them that it was very difficult to cancel your subscription so they first thing I did was cancel my credit card so they couldn’t charge me. Impossible to
Cancel. They finally told me I could send a signed scanned letter which I did but they have since told me they didn’t rece
Warning scam - do not sign up
I want to actually give -0 stars. All very appealing on the outside but wait until you try to delete your profile. This review is not because I am upset about not meeting anyone, there are plenty of wonderful dating sites out there. I realised not long after I joined how incredibly difficult this site was to navigate and in terms of matches there were literally zero. When I tried to delete my account it was almost impossible to find where that was on their website and when I did it was ludicrous. There was also no contact number that worked. Af
... Read moreter sending endless emails and a letter to remove my profile I still kept getting charged. I eventually had to cancel my credit card and resort to the bank to get (some of) my money back. This website is a cover for thieves. Do yourself a favour and stay away!Total scam, bunch of thieves........total scum.....
signed up...did not like it so tried to cancel premium membership after 1 week. Sent 3 Letters within the 14 day notes period according to their terms and conditions, did not hear at all from them. Send e-mail to Ozi customer service e-mail only automated reply only. Called the Bank and CXL my credit card. Keep receiving nasty e-mail pay up or we will pass on to debt collectors. Will not pay another $ to them! After all I sent them 3 letters to Luxemburg asking to CXL! Wondering if anybody in Australia actually had debt collectors knocking on their doors? What was the outcome? Called ACCC they not really any help and just advice to get legal advice. SOOOO frustrated!
Shocking Scam - Don’t Do It
I didn’t read these reviews and subscribed from the Facebook link. The profiles listed have duplicate photos when I enquired, was advised that these are temporary photos waiting to be updated. The temporary photos stayed on many profiles. The automatic renewal will be charged to your credit card, the only reason mine didn’t is I cancelled my credit card. I now am being chased by a collection agency in Amsterdam theartening a court summons. I’m absolutely not paying anything further this is an awful scam. Please don’t sign up.
What A Sham! Don't use them
I joined on their 1-month price at $24.99 thinking I would try it first before committing to anything longer. After paying I soon discovered there wasn't much in my area to chose from and cancelled two days later after joining, making sure I was giving them their 15 days notice. I noticed in their terms and conditions that I had to send a fax to cancel my membership. Obviously making it difficult for anyone to cancel. An email to their support team wasn't going to work. So fax through a cancellation letter and received a confirmation by email
... Read morethat they acknowledged my cancellation. I later checked my credit card bank statement and discovered they taken out $99.86! I followed this up with them by email and their response was the $24.99 was a weekly amount even they charge monthly and wont be refunding me the over charge.! BEWARE they are a con-artist and SCAMMERS.Totally false site
My friend joined this B2 site and thought she was getting a bargain
She told me about finding the add on Facebook
I looked it up and saw all these complaints
She then checked her Visa card account and saw she had been charged over 200 dollars instead of what she had agreed to (being less than 60 dollars ) per the add.
She has phoned the bank to cancel the transaction and her card.
I think everyone needs to email Facebook and complain about them allowing this to happen
Surely other people have notified Facebook about this fraudulent practice.
This is a scam and a rip off!
The site advertised $29.00 for 6 months membership. I paid by credit card. Got my credit card statement. Be2 NZ charged my card $299.76
Deceptive, unscrupulous and fraudulent!
Images of potential “matches” are blurred and when you subscribe, you find out they are only “templates”: Not the person depicted. I immediately requested a refund which was declined. Disgusting low life's who should not be able to advertise.
Don't buy it
Don't be sucked in with this site. Simplified profiles, no pictures and the cost is exorbitant. If you decide to cancel they make it super difficult - nothing user friendly here. No money back.
Total Scam!!!! Don't Join!!!!
After joining I realized almost immediately that their were numerous profiles of same person with different names from different locations. I wanted to cancel my membership but kept getting the run around. I've since cancelled my credit card. I cannot believe that this site is still operating in Australia as it is clearly not a fair trading and legit site. Its disgusting that so many innocent people are being screwed over.
Don't do it
This is the worst site ever - a scam for sure. I think the profiles are made up & photograps of people sourced from elsewhere. Real people don't seem to exist. I have sent numerous emails informing be2 that I want to cancel. I only heard back from them when I threatened legal action. I then sent my cancellation in a signed attachment - why do they make it so hard to cancel but so easy to join & then it seems they have a rich vein to draw money from. The instructions in the site to cancel membership simply keep turning you around in circles. I feel strongly that I want to inform some authority about this as I truly think it's a scam.
This is a SCAM!
Hi all,
I joined Be2 last September for 6 months. I would receive contacts but when I responded there was never more than a handful of replies and I wondered if anyone was real. I never met one man. Before the 12/3/18, I tried to deactivate my account. They wouldn't unless I forwarded my signature on a piece of A4 paper. I wasn't about to do this but did consider signing using my left hand so it'd be nothing like my actual signature. Also, I felt it would be a good idea to phone the bank and tell them that I lost my card. They tried to
Absolute Scam
I unfortunately have been taken for a big ride with this site & charged to my credit card after signing up for what I thought was 1 month. Surely this is not legal in Australia when you don't receive the service you were promises and no notification prior to subscription renewal? Now I am getting my emails to "customer [email protected]" bounced back. Looks like I will be in the same situation & have to cancel my credit card & cop the charges for something I cannot even access. So angry at myself but I feel that this is also something that should not be aloud to happen. Will try to follow up on if this is also legal through ACC.
Fraudulently over charged
Signed up for A 6 month subscription @$12 something a month. Was charged $299. No one to contact!!!! Do not trust this site.
