great stove, always works
Ovens are great cook tops have great control
Obviously superior manufacture
We have baked bread and cakes with no problems
The previous westinghouse all of the halogen hot plates failed, so we didn't want a repeat of that
The cost was only $200 more than the previous, which was money well spent

Dont Buy One
4 years ago was my first Belling oven after having a Chef for 15 years. It was replaced under warranty at 18 months old and this new one is no better. Ive got a new kitchen going in with a brand new NOT BELLING twin oven and the Belling will be sent to the tip. Earlier when ive contacted Belling they just dont want to help. So i just dont ring them cos i just waste my time. Ive had my electrician fix it twice. Im done. I will never buy another Belling product in my life and strongly suggest everyone else do the same. Biggest heap of crap EVER.

What a disappointment!
We bought this oven and a Belling 5 burner cooktop for our new kitchen a year ago. I had used Belling products for many years in the UK and assumed, foolishly, that these would be as good. Not so. Initially we had endless trouble setting the clock, despite studiously following the instructions downloaded from their website. (The leaflet enclosed with the product was absolutely no use at all). Eventually we got it right, but now, whenever the oven has been on for some time (eg. cooking casseroles), the clock turns itself off for no apparent...Read more
reason. The oven temperature is inconsistent, making successful cake baking almost impossible, and difficult to adjust successfully. You have to hold the button in for a count of ten to light it and if you turn it down too quickly it switches off. The removable glass oven door seemed like a good idea, but the design allows hot fat to constantly get between the two layers of glass and is a nightmare to clean. As for the cooktop, the wok burner is useless, never getting hot enough for its intended purpose and the design is so bad that there is nowhere flat to put a hot pan except back on the hot burner. What I thought would give me more useable stove space turned out to be exactly the opposite and, in my opinion, extremely dangerous. I would never buy another Belling product.

purchased new in early 2013 from harvey norman
looks great, bottom swing door is good and very easy to clean. However bottom oven fan always a little noisy
and finally died in may 2015. help line on attached paperwork was totally unhelpful and couldnt even get a price or
a call back from the service agent i was given by manafacturer. Called local repairman who advised that fan was stuffed and the unit not worth fixing, harvey norman tried hard but no joy as unit was too old ( 2.5 years) and offered me a westinghouse replacement at $1450. Worst white good i have ever bought.

Very happy with my new stoves and ovens
First stove that I've bought for myself (the previous one was decades old, inherited from my parents and didnt work). Did lots of research before buying this one, and I have not been disappointed!
I've used it for about 2 months now. The timer option is really useful, and having two ovens (the top can be used as both a grill and an oven) was a massive plus when cooking multiple dishes. The user guide was also very clear and concise, and a great reference point.
The whole unit looks very good in our kitchen, the stove top easy to use and ...Read more
clean, and the oven doors are quite sturdy. Initially I thought the side opening door was opening the wrong way (opens to the left) based on where it was placed, but I've had no problems with this so far. Only slight downside was that the first few times we used the oven, there was a slight metallic burning smell which was a little worrying, however this seems to have gone now. Looks good, works well, timer function is very useful Slight metallic burning smell during first few times of use, but this seems to have gone nowSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great quality.
I don't normally write reviews, but this is such a good product - must be the high Australian dollar and Belling trying to establish itself.
It's made in the UK and the quality is just great. It's fast, reliable and easy to clean (for example you can easily take out the internal glass in the front of the oven and grill to wash; also, you can fit the grill in the dishwasher!)
It makes excellent use of available space as it uses all the volume available, right down to the floor.
Also, it has a separate grill, which is what I wanted.
I have been using this product for about a year and have not had a single problem with it.
Great use of space. Looks good. Good price.
Handle for grill is a bit fiddly.

nice oven had it for 2 weeks now.
I bought this from harvey norman 2 weeks ago.I use it every day with 3 teenage boys.I was hesitant to buy as the door opens sideways, but the price was right and I wanted a separate grill and ceran cooktop.I have encountered no problems with the door.It swings open almost 180 degrees so the chance of me burning my arm when removing items from the oven is unlikely and while I thought the side opening door would bug me,it turns out that its a non issue. The oven has to shelves but you can take the grill shelf out and use it in the oven if you wan...Read more
t 3 racks going for cooking biscuits as it is the same as the oven shelves.I like the cook top as they are easy to clean just wipe over. The element are quite gentle so I havent burnt the gravy to the bottom of the pot which is something my last stove did as the low settings were quite aggressive.Ive found the oven temperature settings to be lower than my old chef stove so Im adding 20 degrees to my receipes.Very happy with the heat all over it is very gentle.I cooked a roast leg of lamb last night and set it to 210 degrees whereas my old chef I would cook it at 190 degrees. The grill element is the whole width of the stove...however they give a grill tray that is 2 inches short of this width and its not quite big enough to allow meat for 5 adult sized people on it.thats my biggest gripe. We grill or roast all our meat and I would use the grill 3 times a week at least so for the sake of another 2 inches so the grill width was equal to the element width would have been a huge improvement. That is the only gripe I have.I havent used the separate grill as an oven which you can do but I think you would have to be cooking for a large family or entertaining a lot of people to need to do this.I bought this from harvey norman in griffith nsw who did a fantastic cash price and Im enjoying using the stove. Also it only takes 5 mins to heat the oven to 160 degrees and it took 7 mins to heat the oven to 210 degrees..very quick! It is also very quiet. If I had my choice over I would buy this Bellingf again. cheaper model.I like the gentle heat settings.very quiet.I actually like the side door opening. grill tray in separate grill smaller than the grill element.Similar opinion? I bought a Belling 90cm Free standing cooler last year and the rear aluminium plate is vibrating making a really annoying noise I’ve checked the retaining screws and one was slightly loose which I tightened but the vibration remains. Is there anything I can put between the two rear sections to stop this happening?

This is very dangerous and should be repaired. Turn off the power to the oven at the switchboard and call 1300556816 for your nearest service agent.
hi, you didnt say how old your belling oven is, if more than 3 years old throw it away and buy a decent brand as this english brand is junk. I agree with the belling official turn it off in the switchboard( marked oven ) and do not use. Good luck with the 1300 number for belling service, i rang them 3 times and they were rude unhelpful to the point of being difficult and more than vague on the possible cost of any repairs.
Cheers yeah done all the above it's 5 years old and the terminal box is burnt out, belling were only rude when they asked me who installed it and were they licenced and that's really unusual to happen if a licensed installer installed it . I used a qualified electrican to install it so I don't know who is more qualified. Unless there are oven installers out there. Thanks

Great review. I like that you've had it for a year before writing your review on the oven. Most people write a review after their first impression. I have a total lemon of an oven now and you have really helped. Thankyou.
