Disappointing for the price I paid!
I own 2 Bessemer woks as I bought the second one during a sale where I could exchange an old fry pan for a much reduced price wok while the first one was being recoated after the Teflon peeled off in like a couple of years. Only ever used one as I didn't want to ruin the newly coated one. I have now put the second wok away in the cupboard for a few months as all the Teflon on the wok has peeled off too. Do not dare to use the recoated one as the teflon will most definitely peel off again, I'm sure. No confidence in the product and would not recommend as you can get a better product for much lesser.

Soooo disappointed!
I looked high on Bessemer products and i convinced my husband I needed to buy the products because they are good kitchen investments, so i bought 4 liters, 3.1 liters casserole with lid, 3 liters casserole with lid, 6 liters casserole with lid and 28cm deep fry pan.
I dont use them much because i dont want to wear them, I religiously follow the care instructions but i am very disappointed because i just had them for few years and all the teflon were peeling off. I have swapped and paid nearly the full amount for the 3.1 liters and the fry pan again for new ones because the teflon were badly peeled off. It hasnt reach 2 years and they're starting to wear off again .

Crappy fry pan
Bought a large fry pan a few years ago, it was destroyed within a year! With absolutely no metal utensils it just started "peeling". Followed instructions and seasoned like I was told to do!! Would not recommend!

A poor reflection of a lifetime warranty.
My Nan has just passed away and upon digging through her cupboards found multiple products purchased from Bessemer. I have also purchased Bessemer in the past at very high cost. I was extremely careful with mine and yes food sticks. Through a rep I have returned all pieces to Bessemer to be reviewed with the rep having told me this would only be replaced if this and if that and was a manufacturing fault. 1 piece which was physically seen to be peeling and has no wear to speak of otherwise is being replaced it was of a size that wouldn't be used...Read more
often and was put away and the peeling never scrubbed off. The well used items except mine have been used extensively. My Nan could not afford these items and was probably given them as gifts or had a party and then would have just bit the Bessemer bullet as most do and wouldn't have known, if or even where to go to return Bessemer in any case.. After living through the depression my Nan would have just scrubbed away any peeling or whats called a bubbling surface thinking it was stuck on food stuff because she needed to use the items. A baking dish given to me has bowed across the base and wobbles on a flat surface and I have checked it with a spirit level and it has bowed with use. This is when I was told our items were not actually Bessemer but another company purchased by Bessemer namely Margaret Fulton Cookware and that the bases were not of Bessemer quality etc blah blah blah! I must say that one very well used frying pan has great huge black ooze baked onto it that is right beside pure aluminium that is clean with no scratches????. I received a call saying that my items were so old no one could say they were in fact Bessemer. I am no idiot and they are definitely Bessemer cookware. I find this hard to believe as some comments here say 36 years old and 42 years old so why is it they have Bessemer and my Nan WHO DID BUY Bessemer less than 40 years ago does not? I was offered a 40% off firsts or 50% off seconds as a replacement which now only carry a 5 yr warranty v's a lifetime warranty as sold in the 60's. I think I am being lied to regarding the items not being Bessemer and placated with a crappy purchase % off refund. I will not lay down like a dog as I am way smarter than that and have been in sales a very long time. I will be contacting consumer affairs if I discover lies and deceit. This is not the end of my complaint but in fact only the very beginning!2 comments

mpany. They appear to be well used and worn. We took over Bessemer in the early 80's and honour our guarantees, but the product has to be faulty. The Caramel 2.5 Litre Saucepan that I did replace was at least 25 years old and I believe it may have been faulty. Bessemer purchased Rexcel then they should honour the items warranty. The small frypan in particular is my issue and the bow in the large baking dish is especially unacceptable. It would take an extreme temperature to bow the heavy base of that baking dish. I accept that my nan has scrubbed the hell out of the Dutch oven but the hard black substance on that small frypan looks unlike any burnt on substance I have ever seen. Now the large frypan which IS Bessemer as I bought that in 2000 is allowing food to stick so are you saying that the non-stick coating isn't actually non-stick?Similar opinion? Hahahahaha far from perfect
I have owned a Bessemer Wok, and a large 300cms cassarole with lid, not used for the last years as the Teffelon has peeled out .They would not redo the surface and take responsibility .
Its the biggest joke for the price however its easy to fool the masses as most are people conformist and they are fully aware of it .

100% Satisfied over 36 years
I have had my bessemer (or bessa ware roaster as I call it) roasting pan for about 36 years. It still serves me the best oven roast I could ask for after all these years. I have never used harsh scourers on it, just soak in hot water and a little washing up detergant after cooking, I have used metal tongs and egg flippers and after all these years the internal base still works as promised and does not "stick or glue" my food to the pan. It was VERY expensive to me in the 70's but it has paid for itself time and time again.

Did not stand up to the test of time
My mother, two sisters, sister-in-law and I all invested in Bessemer cookware over 15 years ago. After 5 years not one of us had a single Bessemer item still usable. While they were undeniably a good product and I especially loved my large casserole, they will need to be treated with the utmost level of care if you want them to last. I have never ruined another cookware product, but all five of us had the same issue with the coating degenerating after a few years of just general kitchen use. We were told that warranty service was second to n...Read more
one but this was not our experience as we were all told it was due to misuse or overheating, (all five of us and our families living in separate cities!?!). Everything generally wears out and needs to be replaced, but when one pan costs you in excess of $300 I think it's reasonable to expect that it will last a good while, have at least a 10 year warranty and a 15 year replacement scheme that is affordable.1 comment

The best cookware available!
After years of constantly having to change my frypans, I then bought a Bessemer frypan. 5 years later & it's still just as good as the day I started using it! I have now bought a whole range of products & I will never go back to anything else. The food cooked in Bessemer is so much tastier & juicier! I've always followed Bessemer's recommendations on how to use the cookware & have never had any issues. I just love it.

Best cookware on the market
I've been cooking with Bessemer for over 10 years & wouldn't cook in anything else. Healthy cooking is important to me so with Bessemer's non stick coating being free of PFOA it is the only choice for me as all other non stick pans have PFOA in it. I cook all my meals & cakes on the stovetop which I find is much quicker than the oven so this has helped lower my electricity bills. No need for scrubbing as it cleans easily with warm soapy water. Bessemer has certainly stood the test of time. LOVE IT Thanks Bessemer

Misled at time of purchase!
I bought a large number of pieces & am very disappointed in the way they have turned out. I have reverted back to my stainless steel cookware, they look better, cook better & peace of mind, as I know that as the nonstick coating degenerates in time, IT IS NOT HEALTHY FOR YOU!! Also the warranty was LIFETIME? But not any more!
OVERPRICED & OVERRATED. NOT HAPPY :(

cookware and see if damage is due to faulty workmanship. Phone 1300655994 and we can arrange an inspection. With regard the health attributes of our product, your statement is completely untrue. Non stick coatings are inert and perfectly safe when used as specified and not heated to temperatures that would cause food to be completely inedible. Peeling base of my casserole pot
Sad to say I was misled into believing my Bessemer pot came with a lifetime guaranteed as the host had told everyone at my mum's Bessemer party where I purchased it more than 5 years ago. The base is bubbling and peeling, manufacturers faults. So I don't think Bessemer is as good as I once believed. I am better of purchasing a cheaper casserole pot and tossing it every year than paying an extra 40 percent of the $500 original price to replace the faulty one.

The great cookware well known is Bessemer!
I didn't have any skills for cooking before, since i used this product, I never stopped to cook and cook, specially because i come from indonesia, the cuisine has more ingredients, only bessemer makes that methode a good result. Without sticking or burning . I have a story about this, I was cooking rendang . Rendang is meats with coconut cream, needs 3-4 hours in low heat level to be cooked. Only this product could make the food of my country the best taste.
My friends enjoy it whenever i invite them and i am proud to show it to everyone ..Everything only for Besemmer..

Bessemer, the best choice!
After conducting my own research about the harmful chemical PFOA, I found that it is present in most plastic bottles, all cling wraps, many plastic containers, most food packaging, other nonstick cookware, and the list goes on...
PFOA is not present in Bessemer cookware, making it the safe and healthy choice, so I'm very happy to know that I'm using the best, longest lasting and safest non-stick cookware in the market. Highly recommend it.

Bessemer is my Best Choice in Cookware
I have been using Bessemer for 30 years. I recently purchased a whole set for my. daughter too. I cook for a large family and extended family every day. Bessemer Cookware has stood the test of time. I know there isnt anything as close as my Bessemer on the market. It makes every meal tasty and easy.
I have had a few pieces changed because of normal wear and tear. I think the fact I have used my Bessemer cookware for 30 year and now I can Trade it up for additional cost, I think it is amazing. I haven't come across anything like that with any other company, Congratulations Bessemer on a great product. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Best Investment I've ever made!
I bought my first piece of cookware from a party that I went to 30 years ago and still using it today. Recently found out I can trade my old cookware for new at 40% off..so I did! Happy customer for another 30 years. My children, now in their 20's have just bought their first pieces as well, as they grew up with me using only Bessemer for them the choice was easy. A new generation of Bessemer users..thankyou Bessemer for a great product.

It's the best cookware ever!
I have used Bessemer for many years and I love it. The quality now is as good or better than it was when I bought my first piece. It is so good to use and clean, like no other brand. Last year I had a Bessemer pot on the stove turned up high and I forgot about it and went out. I was out for 2 hours and when I came home the house was filled with smoke but the pot was still intact. If I had used cheaper cookware it would have melted and the house would have caught fire, I was very lucky. I will never buy any other brand of cookware.
