it does scratch

published

I have had bessemer for around 15 years spent over $1000.00. It doesn't matter how much you take precaution it does scratch and then everything sticks. I guess nothing last forever. Although it cooks quick and easy. Wish re coating was not so expensive. Now all the pots went to the tip! Looking to buy fromDanoz the Sapphire pots
its thickness and retaining heat
does scratch especially if kids do the dishes and cook!re coating is too expensive so it finally ends up in the tip! mine lasting 3 years. had loads of scatches by then!

Almost perfect, the pan is perfect but the handles could've been better.

Like most non-stick pans ... these are starting to stick now.

Handles are actually heat resistant phenolic which can stand temperatures up to 180 degrees C. Still should be careful with direct flame however.

Love it but worry about the warranty issues.

First time for me to use the bessemer, I tried the pizza recipe and turned out surprisingly easy and nice. My teenage son even asked me to teach him how to make pizza with it. I can't wait to use it to cook my own recipes, I plan to cook crackling roast pork tonight and wonder if I can get crackling skin like the one we buy from chinese restaurant :) will post the result soon.

There are few negative reviews about the warranty and the coating.
Cook briliantly and save energy
Expensive, not sure about the warranty and the life span of the coating/products.

Coating easily scratched

published

I had 3 pots since 1990s. After few years, pot was scratched even though I try to be careful to use non scratch utensils ie the coating came off. Was told to trade in for the new coating is better. Same thing happen after couple of years with the new pot. Though its great for cooking meat but I am now concern about the coating. Recently, I read somewhere that coating can cause early menopause etc. That is what happened to me. My period stop when I was in my early 40s followed by immune problem. Might be safer to go with stainless steel or corning ware.
good for cooking meat in a short time
non stick coating - could have eaten lots of it!

I LOVE this cookware. There is a bessemer item to cook ervything. They have, small pots, large pots, casserole dishes, roasting pans, griddles and heaps more. They cook food brilliantly and only take a wipe down with soapy water to clean them. I have the fry pan and casserole and the lid fits both so you can save money on buying sets. The pieces are expensive but they last forever and well outlast competitors. If you can get to a bessemer seconds sale it is well worth it.
Oh where do I start! Sturdy construction, easy to clean, great sizes, multi-fit lids etc etc

absolute junk!

Wow! My mother bought this product over 28 years ago and original product beautiful but this new [censored word removed] is rubbish dont over heat pans or there coating will burn. you need to have a good heat on a pan otherwise your food will stue. I spent over $2000 on bessemer and would rather use scanpan at least that product does what it says it will do

If you have a problem Head Office refers you to distributor then they yoyo you back to head office what a joke bad warranty!

Purchased 34cm backing dish & lid for my daughter because I have owned one for over 25 years & it was great! These latest products are not the same & I will NEVER EVER purchase Bessemer again. I recently chatted with a teacher friend who sadly reported exactly the same situation & she too will never purchase this product again. BEWARE they do not honour their warranty - it is useless!

The base started to erode around edges. It was returned to bessemer who claimed it had been seriously burnt & returned it. The condition once it was returned was worst than before so they obviously trialed it out or maybe (?) they have ensured that it would return the results they were after so that they did not have to honour their warranty.

Overpriced??????

published

Good weight to the pots and they cook nicely on low heat. Good non stick coating thats easy to clean, a shame it doesn't last that long for the price (even using their utensils). All the handles on the pot lids have cracked. We think they are overpriced for what they are, think some other brands of cookware are as good but cheaper to buy.
Non stick easy to clean, good solid saucepans
Handles on lids crack, moderate longevity

Outstanding quality for almost 40 years

published

I have been using Bessemer for over 26 years, my mother for almost 40 years.
It cooks brilliantly, it's impossible to burn food and it is a dream to clean. Almost everything just rinses off.
You can't use metal utensils and it can't go in the dishwasher. This is a non issue since it is SO easy to clean.
If it does wear you can use it as a trade in on a replacement and get a discount.
Old cookware is recycled and it is made in Australia.

It is only available online or through a party, the same way as Thermomix and Tupperware.
Cooks brilliantly, easy to clean
Expensive but worth every cent

average product and hard to clean with a short life span. I have since replaced this item with a similar one from Myers with a life time warranty with enough change for lunch

Porcine cracked on a Lasagna dish the lady (Bessemer Rep) said "yeah they probably wont replace it" for an expensive brand that they market to last a lifetime they are a joke. I will never buy again...

Finally someone telling the truth about this product, couldn't agree with you more.

Yes, I agree as well... NOT suited to electric stovetops where heat is not easily controlled. Mine lasted about 9mos before the 'best non-stick coating' started flaking off. Never used it on high heat either! I'll take my $29 Kmart Tefal pan any day!

This is the best cookware I have ever used. Simple, easy, has lasted me a very long time, though I do care for it properly. No heat in the kitchen. Can't get enough of it.
Durable, easy to use and clean, looks great in the kitchen, saves on power, healthy way of cooking, faster than an oven, retains nutrients. Have used for 30 years and wouldn't use anything else.
I don't have a cupboard big enough to put it in.

i was given a set of cookwear for my wedding in the bessemer range and the baccarat range. i just love cooking with my bessemer and only use the baccarat if i have to. the bessemer is so lovely, everything cooks so nicely in it and nothing has ever stuck to it like the baccarat does. Cleans so easily and dries very quickly. i dont know what i would do without my bessemer!
Non stick, sooooo easy to clean, long lasting, versatile
nothing, if i had a complaint it would be the weight? but not really an issue when the quality is so great. oh and the handle wobbles a little.

The best cookware I have by far. When my other saucepans 'die' I will be replacing them with Bessemer. Nothing sticks to the surface, it is so easy to clean. I use it to cook just about everything!
Easy to use & clean
