Purchased items were out of stock, received empty product
Purchased some clothes and toys for my daughter online, but a day later was sent an automatic refund and cancellation for some items as they were out of stock. If I had known this when buying, I would have chosen a similar item - a similar top, or similar toy, because I am needing these items. Appalling that online store cannot show true stock levels. I then received EMPTY bubbles! What a joke. Was told I could place another order for similar replacement items and they would pay delivery, but was not allowed to purchase anything else on that or...der. Instead I chose to place another order at Target, who had stock, and who’s delivery is free over $45. Was not even sent a replacement bubbles for the EMPTY container I received. Bad customer service.

First time online shopper due to current situation . place a cluck and collect order amd items were ready in a few hours on same day very satisfied with my shopping experience.
Worst experience ever
Have been trying to make a purchase online using a gift card. Have made numerous calls to "Customer service" but no one has any suggestions on what to do they just pass you off to someone else. No wonder the business is in trouble if customers can't make online purchases!
We needed to furnish a unit interstate and due to travel restrictions, were forced to do it online. We tried to place an order with a large national home furnishings store (Spotlight) and they could not have made it more difficult. It was as if they didn't want the business. We then tried Big W and have subsequently placed two orders both of which have had a 95% fill rate, with notification to pick up within 3 hours of order placement. Emails acknowledging order placement, any out of stocks, tax invoice and notification of when ready to collect all within 3 hours - outstanding.
Very slow delivery
I bought a simple small toaster from Big W online in Brisbane. Took almost two weeks to be delivered to a Brisbane suburb.
Never waist my time with their delivery service again. Will buy elsewhere.
Never order online!
5 calls 3 email. No item, no refund as yet. Should of seen the red flags when they didn't send me receipt. They were happy to take my money. Plus they told me to ring up the vendor to chase it up. Not happy. With there was a no star option. Now I have to organise another birthday present. 2 weeks of chasing and now being quarantined my son might not get a present in time.
Stock Levels Not Accurate & You Will Be Out of Pocket Up to 20 Days. Website Poorly Built.
You currently have a 50/50 chance of your order being filled (an employee told me). Then they take 3-5 business days to process a refund. Visa then takes 7-10 business days to put it through to you.
So use Afterpay or expect to be out of pocket for 15 business days (19-20 actual days). Companies with poor stock systems like this are my pet peeve. This is not a corona issue; the increased demand is just exposing already flawed business processes.
Their website has also failed under increased load, at multiple times throughout the day, meanwhi...le other sites like Woolworths, Kmart and Target continue to function. Not having increased capacity available is another sign of poor business planning. For anyone keeping up, the risk was evident two months ago, and in the context, expanded IT infrastructure & capacity is easy to do. Poorly managed.

Non existent service
First time buyer. I should have checked reviews before ordering from BIGW. Never again! Not only did they ignore my next day delivery (which I paid extra for) but they also decided to drop off at the nearest PO and not the residence requested. NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL. Can’t be relied upon and no apology to boot. AVOID at all costs! You are better off shopping elsewhere.
Excessive Delivery Fees
I've always liked Big W as a store to get good priced, well know branded products. I've shopped online before for smallish items and have been happy with the service. Today I decided to try and avoid the mayhem of the stores and carparks and order some dog food online. I get that these are heavy and bulky items, however, when the delivery charge came up as $128.00 for Sydney inner west, I decided this was not a good idea afterall. I can get heavy, bulky items from Catch in Melbourne for significantly less cost. I saw on their website that some online orders are provided by their third party partners. Regardless of who is fulfilling the order it's a ridiculous delivery charge. Clearly they don't want to do these types of online orders.
Still awaiting my refund 3 weeks later
Tried to cancel my order within 24 hours of placing it. Was advised I could either reject the item when it arrived, or accept it and return it myself. I rejected it and now it's been more than three weeks and I'm still awaiting a refund. I have written to Big W three times and I'm told the issue has been expedited! Never again!
If no stock, why sell?
Purchased 6 cans of Glen 20 for pickup. They sent me a email saying they don't have stock. I called them for a explanation but they transfered my call to 3 different people and no one helped. Then they just hung up! I eventually did get a full refund but why the hell you try and sell something if you don't even have the item? Idiots

I placed an online click and collect order on Friday night and then by 11am I received a text message to come and collect. The fellow at Top Ryde Big W was super efficient and a happy person.
Won't ever buy my lace from there again
Wanted some lace, I asked the guy couldn't be bothered to answer me so I rang to ask them why don't they get more in they still couldn't tell when It was coming in, no wonder they are closing the stores down, they can't be bothered, found it cheaper on line else where
Fulfillment issues need sorting out!!
Spent time online placing a large order, carefully selecting which items were listed as AVAILABLE from the store I wanted to collect from. Order went through and the very next day my order was cancelled as NO items were available. Very frustrating customer experience. And a generic email stating the order was cancelled and funds will be returned within 5 working days. Sort your fulfillment issues Big W, to stop pissing off customers!
Very Poor, Zero Star Rating
Ordering from BigW Online, was advised I could pick up item if order was placed prior to Midday. Order was put in at 10.42am, told to wait for email so I could pick up item instore after 4pm. Email did not arrive. Next day, late afternoon, email arrived advising me that they had cancelled the order. Checked my bank statement, no refund. No explaination as to why order was cancelled. I had plenty of funds in bank account. I had checked that the item was in stock at my local store before I placed order. Waste of my time. I will be contacting...the ombudsman if the refund is not in my account immediately. They were happy to take my money immediately. This is not good service, this is not any service. This is an underhanded way to take peoples money, get the interest, delay in refunding and I for one, will never use this service again, nor shop in a BigW store. Disgusting.

I found their service to be extremely fast. I live in Tassie ordered on a Wednesday and it arrived on Friday, the same week and it came from Melbourne. I can't even get an order that fast from here is Tas from another big store. Their postage cost is very reasonable, half the price of the other big store I order from. Will definitely order from again.
