Does what it needs to do, a little noisy and sometimes the charge will run out quickly if you don't
I am happy with the performance & suction, it works well getting everything. I used it on tiles and carpet in a medium 3 bedroom house. I found it worked really well on carpet. It is easy to maneuver and is light weight, it is quite loud and noisy which can be a little annoying to everyone at times.

Great vacuum for short carpet, long run time
This is my second Vac after first one died on me (2.5y).
Great for shorter carpets, picks up pretty much everything, long run time 35-40min. Easy to clean, lightweight, charges quickly too. Got it for amazing price from Bissels website as it was without a carton. Highly recommended, I use it every day!.

Amazing cordless vacuum
Good - I would recommend this vacuum for users who have wall to wall carpets.
If you have floor boards it will do the job but it's so powerful that we stopped using the corded vacuum.
It's noisy but with lot's of power.
Battery will last for a whole 4x2 house with lot's of juice left.
Even on a seemingly clean carpet this vacuum collects so much dust and dead skin it's sometimes hard to believe.
Bad - We are through our second unit as it seems like this product has a design defect - the cog that spins the brush blades is made of plastic. over time it gets grinded thus resulting in the unit rendered.
Tried to buy and install a replacement cog from eBay but it only lasted a couple of runs. ...Read more
Loved the machine so much so just decided to buy a new one. I should add we also own a cordless Bosch unit which we use on the tiled surface, but the Airram is used for the heavy lifting.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love it
I already have a Dyson cordless cleaner but find there is not enough battery power to complete my cleaning. I am so happy with the Bissell AirRAM, the suction is remarkable for such a small machine. It is so light and easy to move around. Some features I love are, the on/off switch (instead of having to keep your finger on the button). The 4 bars which let you know how much battery power you have left. The length of the battery charge. It stands upright. The price. I love this machine.

Bought two of these as presents
Feedback to me fs that they are fantastic, picking up dust and DOG HAIR, making cleaning a BREEZE. Easy to empty!!! Picking up a Beagles hair is tiring, this Air Ram makes a chore, EASY.

Simple is the Key
Far more powerful and effective than many other cordless options. It's heavier base means it runs well over multiple different surfaces and doesn't require downward pressure from the user. Be warned it is surprisingly loud so if this offends you I would suggest trying it out first. It's not as versatile as some of its competitors but 98% of the time I want my vacuum to clean floors and that's exactly what it does well. It's simple to use, clean and maintain and the rotating brush does a great job of freshening up the carpet. I've tried other options but can't say any of them matched the Bissell's cleaning power.

Powerful vacuum cleaner
Bought the cordless vacuum from Bissell's outlet website. Delivered from Melbourne to Sydney on 16/1/2017. Carton damaged hence it was bought for $146.60, massive reduction. Subscribe to get 10% off for online purchase. Charged the removable lithium ion battery for 4 hrs. First used on 23/1/2017 to clean timber and tiled floor. Powerful motor brush, felt like walking the dog on a leash. Very good dirt pick up and easy to remove/empty the dirt container (bag less). The battery has a light indicator. When fully charged it has 4 green light bars. ...Read more
When the light bar turns red the battery needs recharging. About 15 mins usage and the battery still have 3 bars left. I have researched other brands of cordless vacuums and this AirRam is good. Noise is about the same as other vacuum cleaners. All good.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Gutsy cordless vacuum
My old cordless vac died, it was fine, but not exceptional. After researching online it was a toss up between the Dyson and Bissell. I have 2 Dyson corded vacs, a heavy upright and smaller barrel vac. With all the hype of Dyson...Nup, decided to go with Bissell Air Ram. Received yesterday purchased direct from Bissell website for a bargain $160 delivered...damaged carton, vac is perfect. Used it today, through the whole house. AMAZING! I am so glad I bought this one! Thank you Bissell..and all the others on here that gave this vac and glowing report. Fantastic.

Seriously powerful
Super happy with my purchase. I've been using this vacuum cleaner for carpets and floorboards for almost 3 years now. Easy to use, battery life is really good. The most important thing is the service. I had an issue when warranty was about to end, the vacuum cleaner made grinning noises and stopped working, I called the company and they just sent me a BRAND new one within just a few day and were so nice.
Only downside is that it's a bit noisy but I guess it's because it's so powerful.
Highly recommend.

Is there a six star option?
Fantastic. I dont use my corded vac anymore. Airram all the way. It sucks up very well. As mentioned it needs emptying each time. Ive had an air ram for well over two years now and the battery still has good charge. I can vacuum my 3 bedroom home easily on a single charge. It might need a replacement brush but thats about all. I dont consider it too noisy. It doesnt have that high pitched squeal like my corded vac does. It also feels quite robust. You can also place it anywhere as you dont need a bracket to hang it on like the dyson. Wouldnt hesitate to buy another AirRAM if this one ever dies.

Great small vacuum easy to use.
Have been using it for over a year now and it works a treat. It is the only one we use in the whole house now. We never drag out the big vacuum any more.
It works so well you have to empty it quite often. Collects loads of dust as well.
Great product.

Exceeded my expectations
I've got 2 cats, one with very long hair whose annual moult I dread. The house is half carpet/half tiles and my Electrolux finally gave up. After contemplating Dyson, Electrolux and other rechargeables as well as other conventional vacuums I found the Bissell AirRam at Harvey Norman on sale (but bought it at David Jones on price match)for only $227 and the rest is history....This thing just works and I mean really well and don't worry about the "noise" it makes because you don't have to listen to it for very long because it takes me less than h...Read more
alf the time to vacuum than I was suffering through previously. Like others mention even after recently vacuuming, the AirRam seemed to just fill up (rapidly) with stuff the other vacuum missed. Battery lasts for ages, easy to empty the dust bin and very manoeuvrable but although easily gets under the lounge unfortunately does not fit under a standard ensemble bed base. I love products that are easy to use, work much better than you expect and are great value and the Air Ram ticks all the boxes. Standard 2 year warranty too with bonus extra year if you register within 14 days (not advertised on the box for some reason!).Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Terrific
Great vacuum ... so sorry I spent many $$$ buying a corded vacuum prior to the Bissell ... I believed I would need both, not so!!! Bissell AirRam Cord-Free does a brilliant job ... I live in a highrise & am pleasantly surprised at the amount of dirt the Bissell picks up. 4 stars only because no vacuum would ever be light enough for me :-( Highly recommend for ease of use & performance

Mind boggling vacuum
We own the best vacuum I have ever used or even seen; an expensive Miele power head. I vacuumed the house with this and as usual it did a superb job. The next day, with only 2 people home, I lightly used the Bissell AirRam battery vac. I got so much muck from the carpets that at first I couldn't believe it - but there it was. What a tremendous vac, it out-vacuums a superb 240v vac - no mean feat.
Before purchasing, I read reviews, they all made a point of how noisy the Bissell is. Well I slightly agree. It is a bit more noisy than any other b...Read more

Love it
We've had a Dyson stick vacuum for years but it developed the annoying and common battery problem which made me hesitant to purchase another one. With young kids to frequently clean up after, I knew I definitely wanted another cordless vacuum. So after some research I purchased a refurbished AirRAM. My first impression was WOW, this really works! My carpets are cleaner than with any other vacuum I've owned. It's a bit noisy (the kids don't like it much!) but I don't care because my floors are instantly clean. It's great how it stands on its own...Read more
so it's easy to store and grab. And it's also easy to stop and move things without it falling over or needing to be put down. I use the Dyson for my skirtings still since the Bissell doesn't have an attachment for that, but for the price I'm very happy. Even my husband comments regularly on how good it is. Oh, and the dust container is small but it's very easy to empty inside without dust going everywhere. The battery lasts quite a while too.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Fantastic vac.
Bought this based on reviews here, did not disappoint. It's basically a cross between a carpet sweeper and a vacuum. Best compact vac I've ever used, the rotating brushes do well on carpets, it's low enough to slide under the couch. Only drawback is the collecting tray could be bigger.

Simply The Best
I love, love, love my AirRam. Use it everyday, light and easy to use and clean. Only use my heavy Dyson every couple of weeks and the Dyson doesn't have much dust in it when I've finished so I know that the AirRam is doing a great job.

Great vacuum cleaner
The best cordless vacuum cleaner I have owned, we have a ducted system in our house which works okay but it is a bit of pain dragging a 9 metre hose around, we purchased the Airram for in between cleans, because it cleans so well we now only use the ducted vac for skirting boards and for places that the airram cannot get to, our carpets have never looked cleaner and it works great on the polished floor boards, because of the rotating brushes it also picks up small items that stick to the floorboards that the normal vac would not pick up. It is...Read more
very light and easy to use and we can clean our house on one charge without any problems, cleaning the filters and bin is no hassle. It is a little noisy but no more than most corded vacuums. Broken down 3 times
When it's fresh out of the box it is pretty good but be warned this vacuum will soon start self destructing the handle on mine has snapped off twice and now the motor has stopped working. The neighbours downstairs complained as to why we used power tools so much be warned it is very noisy. The gears inside the motor are made of plastic if only I had reviewed it before purchasing .Bissell customer service would be one of the worst experiences I have ever had to deal with they never ever answer the phone and simply just don't care at all zero cutomer service skills.

Can I purchase replacement parts for the discontinued AirRam? I need a replacement plastic strip for the front casing where the brush sits inside. My husband can get a little enthusiastic using this machine

I would contact the Bissell Outlet Shop in Scorsby, Victoria - they would be able to let you know if they have in stock and could post to you or if you live nearby you could pick up.
No, it wasn't your husband, it happened to me too, broke 13 mths after buy, and you can get from Bissell but it takes a bit of time (long time cos they don't answer very quickly and then don't respond well, there's a girl on emails who is terrible) for them to get back to you and i gave up and threw the thing out, mine lasted just over 12 mths before that happened. I'm going back to corded vacs, i tried other vacs too, even a Dyson and it was terrible. I should say they sent me the part, but it didn't seem to fit properly and no one i knew could get it to sit in there.....sad because it was v good.
Sounds exactly like our story!

Just an update on the vac. It's still going strong no problems what so ever. The big vac gets pulled out twice a year maybe for doing the carpets. Highly recommend this ripper little vac
