Amazing carpet cleaner
This carpet cleaner and extractor works great. I have used this on several carpeted area and on a family lounge that was heavily marked from children spilling food and drink and general dirtiness over time. I have also used this on shag pile and flat rugs. This product performed extremely well on all surfaces and they came up looking new or near new. Bissell have some great additives and shampoos and the solution bottle has a mark on it so you don’t have to pour measure and then fill the solution bottle. The unit is great and I have given build quality a 4 only because it was so hard to set up I had to take it back to Harvey Norman, they also struggled but we got there in the end! Very happy with my purchase
Purchased in May 2021 at Harvey Norman for $299.00.

Good - till it needs attention
1. Carpet fibres and dirt are well extracted - but a lot of the muck accumulates around the rotating brush area, and in the clear plastic through. So cleaning the machine itself takes rather a lot of time due to all the nooks and crannies.
2. Common complaint is "no spray". You'll find plenty of these complaints on Google. The pvc tubing which delivers the fluid to the hand tool clogs with gunk. For "no spray" to the rotating brushes you are in for some work, because there are so many possibilities. Bissell will have you back for an ex...Read more

impossible to keep clean
Why does this manufacturer make a fantastic product, only to make it impossible to maintain it when it gets clogged? After vacuuming well before using the machine it will inevitably have some fibres sucked up, especially with wool carpets. Took me an hour to clean the carpets a good hour and half trying to clean the machine!
They simply don't make things to go the distance anymore, but why? probably so we have to bin it when it stops working and buy another.
The machine is really great but the parts cannot be cleaned easily and wont come apa...Read more
rt enough, not even to get a pipe cleaner into the suction head to free it from clogs. You will only use the machine once In a while. By the time it clogs up, its out of warranty. I only used it about four times and it stopped squirting out the water. The only help I could find was on you tube from other users, Bissell were useless and prefer you to buy a new one if things go wrong. It's a shame if it had proper take apart to clean parts, it would work great.

Passable. Cannot recommend though
I saved and saved all my 180,000 points for this machine. I decided to use my points in case i was not happy. And im afraid im not.
The components are plastic....and not the thickness or quality i expected. Even the upholstery hose feels cheap. I purchased additional attachments for just over $100 for the sole purpose of wanting only one in the set. Which broke in a short time. I also purchased prior, the hand stain remover machine, again the plastic let me down.
The filter and components needs cleaning out alot. To do it perfectly...tak...Read more

An great domestic carpet cleaner
I am very happy with the Bissell Powerwash Powerbrush cleaner. It is light enough and very manoeuvrable in corners and around furniture. I have so far used it on three rooms that have alpaca carpet fitted and I am happy with the outcome. The water tank could be bigger, as you are constantly refilling the tank. Spend the time cleaning the appliance properly to remove lint etc from the rotary brush otherwise it will spit the lint back onto your freshly cleaned carpet. A little maintenance is worth the end result.

Very Happy!
After paying $200 for electrodry 2 months ago (2 lounges & a hall) then $78 renting a machine + products last week (6hrs doing it, 4 bed, 2 lounges, hall & a gym) I researched carpet cleaners for the last 5 days & I purchased it originally for spot cleaning but it did so well on an old red wine stain, I just did the lounge room (5m x 10m) & really shocked at how dirty the water was (pre vac with Dyson today & cleaned with water extraction a week ago). So much bi carb came up from the old wine stain! I didn't even use a full tank of water (consi...Read more
dering people say its too small). Im not scared anymore of what my son/cat could do to my carpet as I feel I'm prepared to deal with anything now I have this machine :-) inexpensive (was $579 down to $298), came with 2 x bottles of hard floor cleaner & 2 x bottles of carpet cleaner. Easy to put together & use straight away. Carpets dried quick & easy to clean to put away & store the machine. Fairly quiet machineSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great carpet cleaner! Easy to use.
I tested out the Bissell today on a couple of rugs, and I have a pet dog at home. I vacuumed the areas to be cleaned first as on the instructions (I used a dyson), but I was surprised at how much extra fur and dirt the bissell picked up. It does such a great job at deep cleaning, but for stubborn stains make sure you pretreat the areas first.
This carpet cleaner would be perfect (5 stars) with a larger water capacity, but it isnt a very big problem. It is so easy to empty out the bladder and refill it,it just takes a few trips. It is just an easy product to use, easy to clean and maintain
Easy to operate and use and really does a deep clean.
Small water tank requires constant refilling

Bad
I bought Bissell PowerWash from Auckland Harvey Norman,it cost NZ$380. Haven't use for few of months, the water can't spray out from water tank. So I rang the Bissell service and explained what problem was, but they asked me to check machine at Clive Dick Shop. The repairman told me they checked it and no any problems with this machine, but the water out is perfect again. Yes, that cost NZ$45. Now after few months later, the water don't spray out from water tank again. Does I should NZ$45 check again?no, I throw away. On the other hand the Bissell carpet shampooers cost NZ$20.
Water don't spring out from water tank

Excellent Value for Money
I bought my Bissell BS25M1f last week from Good Guys (Thomastown - VIC) for $380. Before that I did heaps of research on the internet on different Bissell carpet shampooers & other brands as well. I also visited other stores like Harvey Norman but their prices were dearer and they do not stock them (had to place order and takes two weeks!). I even spoke to Bissell directly before the purchase.
Anyway took it home, it's not hard to assemble (just need to screw the top part and the hooks for power cord and hose). Then I used it on two huge rug...Read more
s, following the manual instructions. Results were very impressive. Rugs changed colour and water very dirty. Rugs dried quickly and look very clean. However I called Bissell Customer Service (they are really good & know their stuff). The guy explained a better way of using it (not in the manual): Move forward (not too slow) while pressing the trigger. This operation sprays water & cleaning product on your carpet). When you reach the end release the trigger and move slowly backwards. This operation sucks the water out of your carpet. Then again move forward without pressing the trigger, in order to suck more water out. Repeat this two or three times then your carpet will dry very quickly & you will not be wasting too much water and cleaning product. Never use hot water cause it will damage the bladder, use only lukewarm or cold water. I got four cleaning bottles in the package (2 for carpets & 2 for hardfloors (Don't use this machine on polished hardwood floors)& amount more than enough. My rugs also smell nice after cleaning (Make sure you buy original Bissell cleaning products as they seem to be very good). Easy to use, Not too heavy, Does a good job & worth the investment (Imagine how much it will cost you to engage a professional carpet cleaner every few months). Water tank is too small and needs constant re-filling, which is a real pain. Due to its small size, you will also be consuming heaps of cleaning procucts cause you have to add them for every re-fill.1 comment
No body should ever buy from Hardly Normal, unless they want to be ripped off blind of course. Good Guys are the cheapest for these things.

ust water in hopes to reduce chemicals in the carpet and my house in general. I do this at the end of the last room or the next day. I find that it’s a better clean and healthier. After using my machine further, I still abide by my previous comments 100%. I do have a lot of carpet and the job is prolonged by needing to clean the components . I do however do a run of j... Read more
