Better than a Dyson
We have used a Dyson V6 slim for the last 2 1/2 years but was getting frustrated with all the hair getting clogged up in the brush . When the head broke for the second time, Dyson charged $125 for a replacement. On the hunt for something different but still a hand stick we came across the Black & Decker 2 in 1 Pet Stick. Not only was it half the price of a Dyson but I would rate it better than a Dyson in all aspects: Brush is rubber and very little hair or dust gets caught up in it. Bin is easy to empty and clean. Battery allows me to va...Read more
cuum for over 30 minutes compared to 14 minutes for a Dyson. Only needs a full charge once or twice a week compared to every day. The filter is perfumed therefore it leaves a gorgeous smell after vacuuming. The head swivels around furniture with ease. The power changes from normal to turbo automatically depending on the surface its cleaning. My house is all floorboards and tiles but i have mats around the house and it automatically shifts into turbo mode. Will definitely recommend this vacuum.Purchased in June 2021 for $179.00.

Poor battery life & ridiculously long charge time
Purchased this vacuum to use on my tiled floors. Suction is great & the pivoting head makes it easy to get into the area under my table and chairs. The let down of this vacuum is the short battery life and extremely long recharge time; I could excuse one or the other but not both. One other thing is that the head of the vacuum no longer spins so it's becoming more difficult to maneuver around. I've taken it all apart but no dice.

Great vacuum-shame about the smell
Great vacuum ! shame about the appalling perfumed filter. Its truly horrible and we cant find a replacement filter that doesn't fill the room with the smell of cheap toilet cleaner.
That said the suction, weight and manouverability of this dust buster come vacuum cleaner are fantastic for the price.

Excellent suction
This is my first Stick vacuum, I was a bit sceptical buying it. Love how light weight this is and how the swirl head mauvers corners. Charges very fast and food for apartments for storing away. Come apart easily and putting together is not a hassle. Best product for the money paid.

The perfect companion
This is a great vacuum cleaner for small and medium-size jobs. It has an automatic turbo function that boosts suction to the next level when moving from hard floors to carpets. The multiple accessories it comes with (we got the extra brush which is smaller in size) make this the perfect companion.

I love it!
I was hesitant to spend that kind of money on what is essentially just a dustbuster, when what I really need is a good vacuum. I was skeptical but now I am convinced... It's both.
I named mine Buzz Lightyear because it looks and feels like a toy but doesn't realise it.

Great stick vacuum
This 2 in one pet friendly stick vacuum has been a terrific addition to my home, it is very lightweight and easy to use, the filter can get a little dirty though even after one clean, it is very deceptive for a battery operated unit that has as much power as an ordinary vacuum cleaner, very happy with purchase.

Great Unit
For a little machine this vaccuum is awesome. The sucking ability is great and has exceeded our expectations. It is easy to maneuver around the floor and furniture making cleaning a breeze. Its works on both our tiles and carpet. The only downside to the unit is it only has a 20 min battery life

Brilliant
I had been using a Dyson stick vacuum for a long time and after experiencing significant issues with its weight when lifting it to clean hard to get at surfaces and other equally annoying features I decided to look around for an alternative replacement. I came across this cheap efficient machine by accident. Not only is it a quarter of the price, in my humble opinion it is more efficient, lighter and easier to use. I store it snuggly mounted on the laundry wall. It magically moves from hard tiled floors to carpet with ease and it automatically ...Read more
bumps up the power when it hits the carpet. It does not trap hair around the floor attachment in the same way as the Dyson and I find the motor more powerful, believe it or not. It is more efficient cleaning the car in hard to reach crevaces which should not be surprising given Black and Decker were the first to make detachable vacuums I was told by the salesperson who was promoting the Dyson. My only criticism is the harsh chemicals used in the optional pre-scented filters. These chemicals are dangerous for those suffering from allergies like me ... but as distinguished, it is optional. Do not make the mistake I made and open the foil package! Well done Black and Decker, this machine is a quiet achiever.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

This product is perfect. Great suction and i have been using it everyday.
Yes, I am happy with the product performance and the suction.
It is easy to use and can be easily maneuver.
I am using it for spot cleaning in the kitchen and living on floor tiles and carpet in the rooms.
It has intelligent sensor which changes the mode to turbo when used on the carpet.

Decent but could be better
I’m a bit netruel with this product as I’ve had a few issues with it. I did have an issue where the part was faulty and had to be taken back but the good guys were great they replaced the whole vacuum with a new one. It needs to be cleaned it quite frequently but other than that it’s decent. Its pretty loud though which is a downfall but easy to use and light weight which is great

Good as long as it worked
Worked great, very powerful on carpet and wooden floor, thought I made a catch. Easy to handle and manoever. However, less than 3 months on, rarely used, some charger error. Charger lights blinking, but won't charge. No trouble shoot sector in manual. Have to take it back. Waste of time and money.

Not bad for $100
Common sense was not used when this vacuum was made. Small attachment for hand held no place to attach when not being used need to stick in pocket. Collection bin is to small have to empty constantly. When you take off the attachment and put the brush down vacuum will not pick up anything. Could use more power.
I bought on line for $85 plus $14 shipping. That is all its worth.

Almost perfect
Purchased this product only a few days ago, but can already say it has been well worth while.
On both carpet and hard surface flooring the suction has proven to be more than adequate, although not quite strong enough to remove dog hair from car seat, but not even an industrial model can do that.
Placing the sections together can prove difficult although not impossible, other small niggles are dust collection chamber pops out after you have emptied dust and seems to do so 4-5 times before it engages properly will also add here that as the cham...Read more

How to stop filter dirt tray continuing popping open during use
Looks like a bad design fault not allowing to connect fully to main body via 3 small plastic pins
Has anyone got around this issue
1 answer
It will pop open if you haven't closed it properly. After cleaning the dust from the bin i usually bang it back in to make sure it doesn't pop out again. Agree could of been designed better but not a big issue.

My partner bought this product and it works great but the battery icon started pulsing so we took it back and exchanged it. The replacement had the same problem from the time it was first placed on charge. Is this common or just plain dumb luck. Seriously considering getting a refund and looking at another brand.

Mine did this after 5 uses..not Happy
I cannot find out how long the battery lasts before being recharged for a Black & Decker 18V 2-in-1 Allergy Stick Vacuum. Could someone tell me the answer please? I've looked it up in so many places, but all I can find out is that it takes 5 hours to recharge.
20 min run time
