I have switched to this product from Elevit, and love it. The only downside was I have to take 2 tablets instead of 1 only. Luckily its only once a day. You also can get a good bargain when they are on sale in the pharmacy. I took it during my pregnancy and my breastfeeding period. My baby so far is a very healthy baby, which I am sure part of it is contributed by this supplement. Highly recommended products
I like this products, because they have complete multivitamin & minerals and also contain Iodine & Omega3 Fish oil. It save you from purchasing the Iodine & Omega3 fish oil separately. When they are on sale at the pharmacy, you can really get them with good price.
have to take 2 tables at once instead of 1 only.
I used these with my first pregnancy and felt great and are now using them for my second. I have had no problems with an increase in morning sickness or constipation as a result of taking these, compared to what I have heard about other brands. They are reasonably priced compared to some other pregnancy multivitamins and I have never had any problem finding them in stores, except some chemists don't stock the Blackmores brand they can be found cheaper in most supermarkets. The only downside is the tablets are huge, but it's worth it to know you are providing nutrients for your growing baby.
readily available at most stares, reasonably priced
The tablets are quite large so could be hard to swallow for some
I felt safer when I took these tablets and I had no side effects. You are also suppose to take these when you are breastfeeding or a couple of months before tying to conceive too.
This vitamin doesn't just have foliate in it which is a bonus, it contains just about everything you could possibly need. This is great if you have really bad morning sickness and can't even stand the sight of food, at least your body is getting some great vitamins. These tablets are easy to swallow and have no taste that I have noticed. It also has the very important benefit of foliate which is so important for the baby.
They are quite expensive, and of course would be so much easier if you only had to take one tablet.
This vitamin is easy to swallow and no after taste, or bad smell.
It did make my urine bright yellow, but no issue there.
I have been taking it for 6 months and not been sick with cold or flu etc, however I've recently tried a different brand of pregnancy supplement.
I've suffered from intermittent diarrhoea constantly for 6 months, and have just tried a different supplement for the last week, and no diarrhoea. I'm thinking perhaps one of the ingredients didn't agree with my digestive system?
So for me I've had to change, but if you can ta...
I took these whilst pregnant with both my children as they contain all the necessary supplements and vitamins for a healthy pregnancy and breastfeeding. They contain the required amounts of folate, iron, calcium etc. and can also be taken to promote conception before faling pregnant. I would buy them in bulk at our local warehouse chemist as they were a lot cheaper however sometimes they are on sale at the local supermarket for a similar price. Great product.
The tablets contain all the necessary vitamins needed to help promote a healthy pregnancy
Can be quite pricey unless you buy them on sale
I've taken these tablets for quite some time now whilst trying to conceive. I love them as they serve as a complete vitamin and mineral supplement for women as well as being specially designed for conception and pregnancy and breastfeeding. They have all the recommended dosages of folate and Iron, and contain calcium and a lot of other vitamins which is needed to promote healthy conception, birth and breastfeeding. I highly recommend these tablets to any female!
The pack size (180 tablets), it contains all the needed essential vitamins and minerals, easy to swallow capsules
Can be expensive when not on sale
I took them from preconception to 13 months with my daughter and had a lovely healthy baby girl(perhaps TOO healthy at 9lb 3 ounces - I'm not a big lady!) who remained relatively untouched by illness for the 1st 12months of her life and I was myself very healthy throughout my entire pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding.
I've since gone on to have a 2nd baby and for numerous reasons I was much more incosistent with taking these supplements for my sons birth and early weeks. The results were that I was ill several times throughout this pregnancy wi...
Apart from the size of the tablets, which are pretty large, I found these tabelts really good. I started taking them while I was trying to get pregnant through to while I was breastfeeding. They can be expensive but you can buy them in bulk packs. These tablets provide everything you need while pregnant/breastfeeding and have given me a very healthy baby.
It can be taken from while you're planning to get pregnant through to when you are breastfeeding. It has everything required for a healthy pregnancy and no other vitamins were required.
The tablets are quite large and difficult to swallow if you're suffering from morning sickness.
I started taking Blackmores Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Gold when I first found out I was pregnant. I am still taking them now that my daughter is almost four months old as I am breastfeeding. I found it ideal that I did not have to go looking for another vitamin for the purposes of breastfeeding. Both my GP and Obstetrician highly recommended this product when I informed them that these were the pregnancy supplements I was taking. They can tend to be rather expensive when buying them from the supermarket, but I found them to be cheaper when buyi...ng from the warehouse chemists & I was also able to buy them in very large packets which worked out more economical. These can be used throughout pregnancy and continue throughout breastfeeding. They also come in bulk packs. HUGE tablets! Rather difficult to swallow without gagging!
I found these vitamins were really good as I used them for my entire pregnancy.
I think they were really good price wise as you can buy them in bulk bottles.
Blackmores is a very good brand for vitamins.
It's great that you can take these whilst breast-feeding as well as during pregnancy.
That you have to remember to take 2 a day.
Over all these are a good supplement in my opinion. I wish they would make them smaller or give them and easy glide coating so they were easier to swallow as they really are massive! I called them "Horse Pills" when pregnant! I did produce three amazingly healthy babies on these though. :)
Blackmores is a trusted brand. The pregnancy and breast feeding formula covers all the needs of mother and baby right through pregnancy and breast feeding.
You need to take two tablets per day and they are huge and not easy to swallow especially for a mum suffering morning sickness! They are too expensive.
I started my conception preparation with Blackmores preg. multi then found that when going overseas I wanted a more easy to travel way of taking a Pregnancy multi (I was 10 week preggers by then). I tried Elevit, but still had heaps of Blackmores left. My midwife told me that with Elevit I should also be taking a fish oil supplement, and wanting to save money in the short term asked if I could just take the rest of the Blackmores Pregnancy Gold. She said yes and I felt so good taking the Elevit in the morning and Blackmores multi at night th...at I have stuck with it through to Breastfeeding. Baby is a very healthy happy and content bundle of calm joy...so I think it is working. I would recommend anyone else to do the same. BTW I don't have bright yellow wee, so my body is obviously needing all the nutrients. Hee hee Great to get all my vitamins and mineral requirements for me and baby. I needed more iron, so I also take Elevit
I like that it covers pregnancy and breastfeeding, so no need to change to something else after baby's arrival.
I found that when having 2 a day, I became a little contsipated! So would drop back down to 1 per day for a few days.
I got mine from the discount chemist store as well, when they were on special, and because you can buy such a big pack of them, you have 3 months to watch and see when they come on special again :)
You can buy as a pack of 180 tablets
That you need to take 2 a day
I used blackmores during my first pregnancy and am using it now for my second bub, i find its easy to find can pick it up when i'm at the grocery store so no need to find a chemist that stocks it, My doctor preferred me to take blackmores over Elevit (not sure why) so i do. The size of the capsule is good making it easy to swallow and i don't find any aftertaste or constipation associated with it.Comes in good size bottles, great if you can find them on special.
trusted brand,easily accessable,no aftertaste
Having to take two a day
Used Blackmores through out pregnancy and still taking now while breast feeding. I shop for them at the discount phamacy and always buy the 3 month supply pack, which works out cheaper. I found they are easier to find than other pregnancy vitamins.
Baby healthy, easy to swallow and can get in the large container
I started taking the Blackmores Pregnacy and Breastfeeding capsules once I had my son, I am not sure if they were beneficial or not as it's hard to assess something you can't see but what I can say is that my baby and I are healthy :)
There is nothing scientifically proven with Blackmores, so I changed to Eluvit as they are proven to decrease birth defects etc
can get in capsule form which is better for people that can't swallow large pills or tablets
have to take two a day because it does not have the equivalent 'goodness' that other pregnancy supplements have in one tablet
