Used to be great. We would replace every 2 months as recommended. Somewhere along the line the quality of the bottles got cheaper. It seems to be for one of 2 reasons we are replacing fortnightly. 1 the bottle splits since they are now thinner or 2 the lid splits which spills while drinking leaving you wet. As much as I loved the taste and believe me I am a fussy water drinker then I will be going to another brand. It gets to expensive all that replacement of 4 times more than expected.

Filter broke off after a few weeks - made a complaint with bobble website, no response after 2 weeks
When it was new, it made an awful noise with each slow mouthful - like 1000 screaming ants or something. Very slow to drink from. the filter/mouthpiece started cracking after 1 month of use, and completely broke before the 2 months. This is very disappointing as I had seen you could remove the carbon filter and use the "cage" as a fruit infuser, but now I'll never get the chance as it is rubbish. Not really helping the environment at all. Certainly feel that this is a faulty product and I will try taking this up with the retail store however I doubt I have a receipt.

Inferior product, obviously trying to manufacture cheaper
Been using these for some time now, used to be a quality product. Now the bottles are brittle and implode when you drink fro them, if you drop the bottle the filters snap off. Same price but inferior product. Posted them a customer complaint 2 weeks ago, no answer. Disgusted.

More trouble than it's worth!
Cool designs are only worth it if the product is still able to reach an acceptable standard, which unfortunately cannot be said for this particular water bottle. After only a few uses, the plastic already has dents everywhere (ironically ruining its appearance anyway) and seems not much more durable than a typical disposable plastic (I have also read that this plastic is not designed for reuse anyway since it easily attracts bacteria). The most annoying thing is that whenever I want a drink (especially when in my university classes which are ge...Read more
nerally in a quiet environment) the long wheezing sound when opening the bottle is very disrupting for others and embarrassing for me (especially after repeated times), so i tend to drink less during these times, even when i'm thirsty. Also it's hard to get the water out and therefore requires you to squeeze the bottle (wrecking it even more) and sucking really hard to get a decent sip from it, therefore making enduring the long wheezing sounds not even worth their while, because i'm still wanting more but I just give up. I'm quite disappointed and I had higher expectations than this for something I paid $16.50 for. Ugh! I think a refund/exchange is my best bet.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Made by dentists
I have had heaps of these in the past with no problems, but the last few filters have quickly become very hard to pop up. So hard in fact that you could do some serious damage to teeth if you were not careful. Also, the design of the top is poor as it does not provide enough of a lip to grip onto with your fingers unless your hands (and the unit) are dry. I have contacted customer service over 2 weeks ago and they have not yet responded. I wonder if they have changed their manufacturing process or materials as these problems have not occurred in the past.

It's Terrible
Borrowed this water bottle off my mother and what a mistake. Worst water bottle ever. I chipped my tooth on the lid as the plastic is so bloody hard. You have to push the water into your mouth by squeezing the bottle or suck really hard to get anything out.

Cool Idea but a Total Piece of Crap
The type of plastic they use they shouldn't.. it collects microbes, and evertime you take a drink the bottle will make a horrible wheezing sound for like 5-6 seconds afterwards. Might be giving me rage issues. Can't wait to find a replacement. A real cheap piece of crap. Does anymore make a decent filter bottle without all the compromise?

Plastic cracks and bottle leaks
After only a couple of uses my new bottle split at the rim and then leaked all in my work bag. When I notified the company about it they just said return it to the store for a refund. No apology or explanation, so that indicates they are not surprised that it happened and that this is an inferior product. Do yourself a huge favour and pick a different water bottle. I have a Brita one now and it seems good.

Great for what it is meant to do - If you are smart you'll get it
So many people here are whinging about the look, design, flow and quality. I have been buying the product for almost 2 years now as I wanted something to filter out most of the chlorine, contaminants and metals apparent in tap water. I find the product is perfect for this. I have bought over 12 filters for myself and my partner. One of the filters shed some carbon but we rinsed it and it was fine again. You may get minor faults but you're buying a disposable product at an affordable cost so get over it or go buy a $500 filter machine. Proof to its filtering efficiency is that we use the bottled water for our iron. Using unfiltered tap water we noticed chlorine residue, using bobble, this was gone.

Impossible to drink from
I bought this product as I was travelling through Asia and wanted to make sure I had drinking water available - so disappointed in it.
Apart from being expensive ($30) it's impossible to drink from.
You need to squeeze it to get anything out and it warns it's easy to break so don't squeeze it...
On top of this I had assumed it was dishwasher safe but it's not as the mouth piece is the filter so when you have been using it, especially over night, it just seems dirty and skanky by morning.
Luckily I found enough shops on my travel to just buy bottled water everywhere.
Great idea but poorly executed product.

cracked filters
The filters crack easily and are expensive at £5 each to replace. I have tried many water bottles and I would not recommend these. To avoid disappointment and great expense do Not purchase these. These bottles are not worth the Money. My children were extremely disappointed and I spent lot of time looking for replacement filters. AVOID

Love my bottles BUT!
I have 2 of the 1 litre bottles and a 550 ml bottle. My first 2 bottles I've had no problems with. However I bought a new bottle from Woolworths a few weeks ago and I'm having some issues with it. The filter top has a really bad plastic smell to it, which somehow adds an unpleasant taste to the water. I have washed it, soaked it in bicarbonate and then in lemon juice O/N but nothing seems to work.
So 6 months after the filter still has the really bad smell of plastic. Needless to say it only gets used when I absolutely need to use it.

Waste of money and poor design
It leaks and leaves a water ring on tables, the filter claims up to 300 refills however bacteria forms and is harmful in the PETE plastic. You can't pull it all apart and clean properly between uses. Water tastes like plastic. Makes slow hissing sound after you drink from it. Fail.

The first worked well - every other leaked.
The first one 1 bought was great for filtering water on the go. It was awesome, so I bought replacement filters and an extra bottle so one could dry in between uses.
Turned out that was a massive waste of money. The first filter was the only one that didn't cover you in water.... I tried every filter, 1 out of 8 worked, and then eventually had to throw it out as it was too old.
On the plus side, as least the bottle part is recyclable - they were planning for you to chuck it out from the start.
Save your money. It would be cheaper to buy bottles on the go.

It uses PETE plastic, not suppose to reuse
It uses PETE 1 plastic, which you can find the symbol at the bottom of the bottle, it is not safe to reuse as it can habour bacteria easily as the plastic is porous

Not what I thougt it would be.
I have seen these in my local store for ages and always anticipated on getting one. I finally got one today and it's absolutely terrible to try and drink out of. It takes like 10 minutes to get a SIP and it leaks.
Definitely not as good as they make it out to be.

Not good
I bought this bottle as I loved the design! I thought it was jst me but after seeing other reviews I'm on the ball. It's awful to try n suck the water out as u have to squeeze the bottle as the water doesn't come out with ease, and also the very loud wheezing noise when u try n take a sip very disappointed with this item

It's a Wheezer
Bought it because I loved the design, aesthetically and it's functionality but after two days it became incredibly hard to get more than a small mouthful out and worse, the wheeze it makes is worse than my 2 pack a day smoking aunty.

Thoroughly disappointing...
So, the first one of these I bought was extremely excellent. Completely faultless. Then, several months down the track, I went to replace the filter (chose another colour, as you do), and the problems began. The first issue was that the plastic had split at the rim (this was the case from the first sip), and water would pour out. It made drinking extremely unpleasant. Took it back for a refund, bought another, thinking it was a one off. Apparently, this was not the case. The new one requires both squishing of the bottle and severe sucking of th...Read more
e mouthpiece to get any water out. Tiresome, in other words. As well as that, there seems to be a sealing problem, so it takes a full five minutes of squealing and wailing for the bottle to fill back up with air so that you can take another measly sip. Not at all impressed in the end, and made even worse by the fact that I know they can be pretty kickbutt when they want to be. Looks great, fairly inexpensive, excellent for the environment. Ill suited as a water bottle. Doesn't take in air. Drips consistently.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Why does my Bobble Bottle leak???!!!! This situation has ruined some paperwork. It is not leakproof. The mouthpiece is also too hard to open! I am very dissatisfied and cannot find an e-mail address to contact in the UK!

Because it's very poorly designed! Mine leaked over my old netbook while travelling, luckily it was inside a spongy soft sleeve that absorbed most of the water (my new laptop has got a waterproof sleeve! Lesson learned) and over many other things over the time, with many different filters.... it wasn't the case of a filter being faulty, they were all bad as poorly designed.
I also agree it's very hard to open and you either touch it with your hands (which are not always clean if you're around, on public transport or hiking, or risk to break your teeth).
Now I only use my Bubble bottle at home, to keep on my desk or in the kitchen, but I never ever pack it in my bag, not even my gym bag, because it's just crappy.
I am glad it wasn’t just me being a ‘numpty’! However I would still like to know who I can complain to in the UK. Does anybody know please?

I've had my bobble for about a week now. One day after I bought it, it did leak water all over my bag but have not had that problem since. Yesterday, however, the carbon flitter started leaking carbon all into the bottle. Anyone else with this problem?
