Hi I started bodytrim last week Monday and up until Saturday I went off track only because I was low in cash to buy protein and the only things in my pantry and fridge were carbs/vegetables - I stopped following bodytrim from Saturday right through to Monday (today) Now that my money has come through I'm going grocery shopping and restocking my protein. My question is

"Would I have to start the programme again or can I just do 1 protein only day and carry on with the weight loss phase?"

I'm not an expert, but I'd say having 3 days off means you'd start over.

Nads999
Nads999

A little late but I'll answer any way. You do not need to start over. A protein only day is ideal. No need for the detox phase again. You're not always going to be perfect and that's the beauty of it. Some weeks will be better than others

Hi

I have just started Bodytrim program for the 2nd time. Last time was 5 years ago. Today was day 1 of detox programme. I seem to have a problem varying my meals and snacks on this part of the plan. I had egg for breakfast. Chicken for snack. Chicken for lunch. Ham for snack. Grilled steak for dinner and chicken for snack.
Just doesnt seem to be much I can eat in this stage as I am allergic to seafood.
Any suggestions? Specially lunch if I am out

What is a replaycement for eggs im about to start this and am concerned about the amount off eggs being consumed and the health risks associated wit it?

you can have any kind of deli meat, like ham etc, I also discovered there are small tins of flavoured chicken, much like the flavoured tunas, and because I am not a big egg fan, and don't generally like to eat early in the morning, started the day with the protein shake. I found that frankfurts are an easy snack (about a minute in the microwave to heat) also. Hope this helps.

a lot of people think eggs are bad for us, but they are actually not at all. I'm no expert though, but have been to a few health seminars on weight loss and they all say it's false that eggs are bad. But that's all I got.

is this system suitable for diabetics (the 3 days of no carbs), and people with high blood pressure?

Hi Tracie. I've enclosed a link for you to read. If you don't have high cholesterol then Bodytrim is the way to go. I'm waiting for my cholesterol to go down before I give Bodytrim another try. I need to speak with one of the consultants to find out what the alternative is for meet. My mistake was I ate way too much meet, which is why my cholesterol went up. Bodytrim is great for Diabetes and High blood pressure. Firstly though, get a blood test done for EVERYTHING. Liver, kidneys, cholesterol and triglycerides. Go on Bodytrim and don't look back. Hope this helps. If you need anyone to talk to about it, my email address is [email protected]

Hi Tracie, we do not recommend that Type 1 or insulin dependent diabetics follow the Bodytrim program. If you are a Type 2 diabetic, we recommend consulting with your health care professional to confirm if the lifestyle change is suitable to meet your specific dietary needs and in some instances you may be able to follow the program by implementing certain modifications such as omitting any protein only or detox days. If you would like further assistance, our team of qualified nutritionists is happy to guide you through the process of making suitable food choices for your high blood pressure also by contacting them on 1300 724 455 (AU) or 0800 451 504 (NZ).
Kind Regards,

I am about to start BT but before I get in to it I wanted suggestions with Food they have in their book. I am a vegetarian and I realise that the diet options mainly contains meat in it which I cannot eat. Please can anyone advise what options do I have with regards to protein food? Or do they have vegetarian options? (sorry haven't read the book)

Thanks

Hi Jack,
If you watch the DVD's that come with the book, it does cater for vegetarians. Chick peas are a great source of protein. I would just eat what you would normally have, but cut out the sugar and high carb foods. Good luck!

Hi, I started the BT system 5 weeks ago, in the first week I lost 900 grams, I was a it disappointed I weigh in tomorrow and feel that I have lost weight in the first 4 weeks lost 3kg, I feel healthier than I ever have and have followed the diet exactly! I am thinking about starting again the detox phase to try and kick start my weight loss goal again as I have 15 kegs to lose and many others have lost 3-5 kegs after the first week! Any suggestions? I also use the BT snacks once only and never during the PO day! Look forward to any advice JW

1 answer
Ezza83

I lost 3kg in the first week of the BT diet and since then have only averaged about a kilo per week in weight loss. There was a couple of weeks where I didn't lose anything which was a little dissapointing but at the time I was too busy with work to do my 30 min walk everyday and I think that was the reason why. I also follow the diet exactly. My advice is to make sure you ARE doing the exercise part, and if you hit a plateu (excuse spelling) with your weight loss then try the detox phase again. I went off the rails a bit for a couple of weeks as I was on holidays, I didn't gain any weight during this time but didn't lose any either - when I got home I did the detox phase again and am now back to very slowly losing about a kg a week (sometimes less). I guess everyone's body works differently and that's why some people lose weight so fast! My goal is to lose 12kgs, so far I have lost 7 - keep up the good work and be patient, it may take a bit longer but believe me it will come off!!

Can you still have coffee being decaf or full strength?

1 answer
Missy moo
Missy moo

It's funny you ask that cause that's one thing I absolutely cannot give up! Apart from the obvious reasons you shouldn't have too much coffee I still have my cappuccinos every day 2-3 of them with skim milk but use a sweetener not sugar. I despise decaf. The milk obviously has sugar (carbs) which you're not supposed to have too much of but I still follow the programme in every way and it still works.
