Booked a bin and had it confirmed for delivery Good Friday I got a message from Australian Waste Recyclers (the supplier?) to say they could not deliver because of business restrictions on Good Friday I needed the bin for Saturday so I messaged back and accepted the bin on Saturday by noon Saturday no bin had been delivered, I tried calling Bookabin no answer left a message to say i'm cancelling the bin, tried to contact the supplier phone dropped out. At 4pm an unmarked truck, bin and uninformed driver arrived 30 hours too late, I told them I ...needed it in them that morning he told me they didn't specify a time? He then told me I would be paying a $100 cancellation fee? I then got a call from the supplier telling me the same and that they never specified a time when I told them they did specify a day he became aggressive and told me I would be charged the $100 and good luck getting it back from Bookabin as they are off shore NZ outfit. I complained to Bookabin via email back and forth to supplier some dodgy excuse saying my trades couldn't work because of COVID I'm the trade and I don't have COVID. Do yourselves a favor STAY LOCAL! Unbelievably Bad Service
I would like to state that Bookabin is one of the worst companies i have ever dealt with in the areas of customer service & product delivery.
Andrew as the organising contact in Redland Bay, Brisbane was very rude, not allowing for any questions to be answered, abrupt & disrespectful during our communication.
I would never use Bookabin again & certainly never recommend this company to anyone.

had a bin booked for last week 7th March - 8th of March waiting all day... Nothing comes 5:30pm get a message from Australia waste recycling saying their truck broke down and they couldn't deliver giving me a few options one being a refund or reschedule I said reschedule give a second chance and they confirmed and said first thing Saturday morning your bin will be delivered.. today 14th of March got up early waiting... Waiting... It's 1pm still nothing so I messaged,called book a bin ...
No show bin.
Booked a bin to be delivered last Friday 28/2/2020. Rand the delivery guy quoted on the invoice to establish a time. He said he had no booking and asked me if I had booked through book a bin. When I said yes he said he’d had five similar non orders that week. We are moving overseas and time is critical. Have emailed the company but so far no reply. Terrible service. Will be following up with consumer affairs. This happened to us with another company last year and it took 8 weeks to get our money back. Not good enough
Supplied a BAG not a BIN as promised
This company were not clear when they quoted a BAG and not a BIN. Not once through the process do they mention BAGS - the images and name all refer to BIN.
We were in urgent need for a BIN, and caused my family extra stress from not being clear from the start - a bag is not a bin and cannot be used the same, and this should be agreed to BEFORE payment.
Their customer service were not helpful in resolving our concerns - tried to say ‘because we’d set it up already’ which we didn’t, they did and that we ’accepted delivery’ which we didn’t, as we weren’t home. The Bag company were much better to deal with direct then the useless team at Book A Bin - we won’t recommend or use this company again.
I wish I could give 1/4 of a star
It appears that kwik bin is the company with which this service have the biggest issue. The drivers all reverse as if they are auditioning for the fast and the furious and are completely incapapable of taking instruction. Bins are very late for drop off/pick up....However, after making contact with bookabin to note a complaint, the delightful 'jg' (admin) will simply cc you in messages. No explanation, no apology. The service from kwik bin was bad - from bookabin? Appalling. Never, ever again.
Terrible service from bookabin
Booked two bins through bookabin over two weeks. First one arrived at 8am- no problem. Second one, one week later, had still not arrived at the site by 10.30am. Contacted the provider, Kwikbins, twice by phone and got no answer. Contacted by e-mail and told that it would arrive within next three hours. Told them that if it wasn't there within an hour, we would have to cancel. Still not there two hours later, and we cancelled with supplier by phone. Explicitly told there would be no fee by supplier. On cancellation, bookabin say they will refund...less an $80 charge by the supplier for a call out fee. Informed bookabin about the process and told that they would do nothing. Useless company whose orientation is towards their skip hire companies and not their customers.
Instant skip hire
Bookabin were so easy to book through. Got the right bin for the job. Driver was on time delivering the bin, very courteous, explained everything I could and couldn't put in. I wanted the bin picked up next morning, unfortunately it's been here for over three days and now neighbours are starting to put there rubbish in. I've rang twice now, so hopefully they will come soon.
But the system for booking is excellent. Just have to deal direct with the Bin company.

Fact: Book a Bin supplier attended our property and did not have the required skills to reverse his truck.
Fact: Book a Bin supplier was rude and said they would be charging me a service fee because no truck would be able to get in my drive.
Fact: We have had many skips in the past and all the drivers in their extra large trucks have never had an issue with reversing down our easily accessible driveway.

Bookabin what a joke
Absolutely disgusting booked a skip for delivery yesterday through bookabin, no show. Advised at 6.30 last night that it would be first thing this morning.... still no show. No contact from company. No reply to any of our messages. Have paid in advance for a service and have not received this service. Waste if time will NEVER use this business again. We will be taking it further to get our money back.
Booked a bin for 4 days. It arrived on time but 10 days later the bin is still there, in my driveway blocking my garage. The provider keeps making cheap excuses and book a bin takes no responsibility. Recommend you find a provider directly for your area and check the reviews on the particular supplier. That way you will have a better chance of not being able to park your car in your garage.
Never had an issue
I've used Book-a-Bin many times over several years. First in Brisbane and now on the Sunshine Coast. I can honestly say that I have never had a problem. Skips have always turned up the day of hire and collected the day due or the day after. I'll be using them again next week after I cut down more trees. The only negative I could think of is that pricing for skips can fluctuate from week to week, which is a bit strange.
Booked a skip through bookabin, you need to pay for the service before you find out who the supplier is, you need to pay for a permit direct to the supplier, the supplier can charge you anything they like for the permit (in my case they charged double the council fee), if you don't agree with what they will charge you, you have to pay a cancellation fee.
Totally unprofessional no customer service skills
Ordered a small skip to be delivered on small truck in order to get through driveway. Driver arrived on wide truck couldn't get through drivrwsy. Had to pay for wasted fee. Complained to Bookabin who paid Kwikskips and took their fee. Gave me remainder. So I paid over 200 for skip I never had. Wouldn't recommend
Spot on - arranging the skip was the easiest part of the clean up
Bookabin worked as promised. Bin arrived at 630am the following morning. Driver was very helpful in positioning it. They even generously agreed to pick it up a day later at no additional charge. Bookabin was so easy. Im now a bit dubious about all the negative reviews here - a bit fishy I think.
Wrongly charged- via online booking
I booked a skip bin via online, yesterday for 2 cubic meter. Website indicated $199 for delivery on 04 March 2019 and pick up on 05 March 2019 for garden waste.
They even have not come and they charged me $440 stating 6 cubic meter on email invoice. This is very scam from online booking.
I called them and left voicemail and emailed but no reply.
How do I get $241 refund ?? Or even $440 if they do not show up tomorrow.

Same experience as previous review. Booked and no show. Contacted the “supplier” as per confirmation email and said it wasn’t his business and he knows nothing about the booking. I’ve contacted Bookabin but business closed until 7th Jan. I will continue to follow up until I receive a refund, take legal action if necessary - these businesses should not be allowed to operate.
