Very unhappy.
Joke of a company, won’t give me a refund on an item I haven’t even received and probably never will. Constantly emailing and receive not reply, you’ll be hearing from consumer affairs now.

Amazing fit and so fast!
After reading some reviews I was hesitant to purchase the dress I was wanting for a wedding in the summer. I decided to just because I thought it was just so cute and haven’t seen anything like it in Canada. I ordered it on a Friday (standard shipping supposedly taking 7-9 business days.) it arrived the NEXT Wednesday after. SO fast! I emailed in regards to changing my address and they replied the next day. The quality of fabric is not 5 stars per say... but it fits so nicely and is pretty true to size once I converted it to Canadian sizes. It was the ‘Charlize mini dress’ and I’m stoked!! Can’t wait to get some bomb pictures in this :)
I know not all the reviews are not that great but I had a great experience.

9 weeks to receive my order - no refunds issue- worst customer service- scam of a website
9 weeks to receive my order - no refunds - lowest level of customer service and professionalism. Please do yourself a favor and give your custom to a company that deserves it . I dont know how this website is still allowed to trade.

AVOID! Scam business practices. Owner blatantly lies about issuing refunds
I purchased a dress from Born to Be Chic at the start of December 2022. I was aware that this retailer often sells items on a preorder basis so I was very careful to check that the description did not say that this dress was on preorder and I took screenshots as proof. This was however misleading advertising as the dress was in fact not in stock.

ld process it that day. Two months later and I have not received my refund. Not only have I not received the refund, the owner has continued to blatantly lie via email saying the refund was processed and then stopped replying to my emails all together when I asked for proof of the refund. It gets worse. I decided to share my story to my personal Instagram to help other ladies avoid this retailer. Over 15 people reached out to me to say that this exact experience has happened to them or someone they know. Rather than addressing my concerns, Born to be Chic and the owner blocked my Instagram. Don't do it, Its been a stressful experience.
Its been a terribly stressful experience. Allot of back and forth, they really need to check how often the website is updated to clearly represent the accurate stock levels of products.

Oversold on dress, still no refund
purchased a bridesmaid dress, 3wks later still hadn’t arrived, I contacted BTBC only to find out they’d oversold, was told I would receive a refund has been 1wk+ & still nothing!

Beautiful dress and surprisingly amazing service!
After reading these awful reviews I decided to take a chance because the dress I’ve been eyeing in Canada was on sale for an amazing price on this website. I emailed and sure enough, Hayley responded. She was kind and told me if I ordered right away, my dress would be here for New Years. It was the day before Christmas Eve(!!!) I was skeptical but ordered anyway and sure enough it got here in 4 days!! With Christmas and Christmas Eve being 2 of those days!! New Year’s Eve is tomorrow and I can’t wait to wear it!! I’m so happy with this site and will definitely order again!!!

Disappointed
On 25th November placed order for 3 blouses. One was sent out on 3rd Dec. received one item today 29th Dec. have sent 3 emails asking where my order is and NO answer. Dodgy company.

Dont waste your time or money!
Long story short -took 2 weeks to arrive(NSW to VIC) Poor communication, labeled wrong size (2 sizes smaller). Couldnt for the event it was bought for.
No return address is dodgy.

Horiible service and misleading advertising. Beyond Dodgy!
Emailed the owner regarding the "40% off storewide sale" she had advertised. I informed her it is illegal to advertise a sale without listing any terms and conditions or limitations. I tried to purchase a top at the 40% discount that is advertised and she told me the top isn't eligible and she was "so sorry to disappoint me" The add clearly states "40% OFF STOREWIDE" and doesn't list the terms and conditions of the sale anywhere, so basically she can say whatever she wants and discount whatever she wants or make the minimum spend whatever she w...Read more
ants. When I emailed her and told her the way she is advertising is misleading and most of all illegal and considered bait advertsing she just didn't reply. Seems to me and from all these other reviews, the quality is terrible, and the owner is just trying to stooge people and get rich. She needs to grow up and learn how to run a business properly. I would give them 0 stars if i could. First off, i shop online all the time and ive never had an major problems. But recently, I purchased a dress from Born to Be Chic for $125 & i received it with a rip on the back. I messaged them the day i received the package with images & videos of the dress asking for a refund, yet they refused. After arguing and sending emails back and forth for a week, she offered me 120% in store credit or a replacement dress. However, the occasion i had originally purchased the dress for has passed (because of her delayed responses) and that 120% only covered the dress & not the $25 i spent on shipping. So both ways i was losing money here for the mistake on THEIR part. Now its been almost 2 weeks since she has responded to my last email. Im extremely disappointed with this company. Not worth your money or time
The first time I shopped here I had a great experience, the dress looked exactly how it is pictured on the website. Which made me confident in purchasing another product, much to my regret. The jumpsuit I ordered came see through to the point that the you could see the built in bra pads and it was nightmare in returning. his has been the most unbelievable and unprofessional experience I have EVER gone through in my entire life. I am in absolutely awe of how someone could treat other people like this. e size, so I didn’t get it in time to wear for Valentine’s Day. She told me the only way she would exchange it was if I paid for shipping it back to her, to correct HER mistake (so now I was out $25 for shopping to Australia). After that, she refunded me in the form of a gift card. I bought the dress I wanted in the correct size but I had to pay an additional cost for shipping AGAIN because the refund didn’t cover the cost of shipping. After waiting three weeks for it to show up I reached out to them asking for a tracking number. At this point she told me “they had been trying to get ahold of me!” Because they had oversold that dress. Both my phone number and my email were attached to the order, there was absolutely no reason I wasn’t contacted for that long. So I didn’t get to wear the dress for my graduation over this summer either. I told her to forget it and I wanted a full refund including the shipping I had to pay the second time (let alone the first time). It has been almost two months and still haven't gotten my money back. I have been dealing with this pathetic excuse for a company for almost a year, I was wronged three different times and now I am out $100. Absolutely unbelievable. Okay I guess..
I ordered the wrong size of a pre order dress, emailed them as soon as I realized and got a quick response and it was changed to the right size. Customer service was good. The actual item was a slip dress that arrive in pretty much a ball- super crinkled, the actual quality of the dress is on the cheaper side, glad I got it on sale and not full price, but I think you could get a reputable brand/good quality similar item for the same price elsewhere. Fit was a bit out of portion too.

Don’t fall for it like I did
I payed 119$ for the dress and tax on Canada added another 30$ on top of that. The dress is a black/blue see-through mesh with felt flowers badly sewed onto it. For paying over 150$ and waiting two months to get it, I am horribly disappointed. Although from far away I see how they could get away with the dress in photos but believe me holding the dress in my hands it is such poor quality. BUT it does fit, I ordered a 6 and I could get away with wearing it if I could fix the major see-through problem.

Don’t be fooled by the instagram following they are all bought.
Absolute nightmare of a company. I purchased under the proviso she had a large following only to type her name into a Instagram auditor and find out they are all bought. Rude owner concerned about purely her sales and no consideration she’s flogging peoples hard earned money. Claims she values customers but clearly does nothing of the sort. The dress I bought from this website was apparently delivered by aus post but I never received it, and aus post compensated me. I originally bought this dress on sale and when I got compensated for the dress, it was not on sale anymore. Do Not Buy From This Store!!!
Asked so many times for a refund and all they would offer me is a store credit which I didn’t want because first of all they had barely any stock and I needed the dress for a wedding coming up soon. The dress I originally ordered was apparently on presale but it definitely wasn’t when I clicked on it to buy it, she didn’t even have the dress in stock nothing had been dispatched to me and she still wouldn’t give me a refund/ cancel my afterpay. Been back and forth with emails that aren’t getting me no where wish I looked at the reviews earlier before buying from this store.

Not one Issue!
Was concerned with some of these reviews, but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt because everyone complains and noone gives credit, and I'm happy I did- had absolutely no issues. Product arrived in less than 48 hours, I received updates at each step and tracking information, that I didnt have a need to check because it arrived so quickly. Quality was as expected and product was as pictured no surprises or disappointments here!

Just don't. Don't waste you time and energy. I wish someone had told me that before trying to deal with this company I'm now $100 trying to see if Afterpay will help me get my money back

Hi, yes I think you can however you have to pay for postage and they only give store credit. No direct refunds from my understanding :)
They only offer store credit back and you have to pay original shipping of 19.95au when you originally order order plus shipping back (it cost me $45 to send the items back because of how much it was worth, it was over $300..didn't know that was a thing). Then 19.95 shipping once again when you use your store credit even if you don't use the whole voucher. So you end up wasting loads of money.
Its' not. Hayley is pretending to not have my returns. After Iv'e tracked them and I know she has them.
