Hi Brady,
Thanks for your question regarding the Bosch HBA63S451A.
The c01 would seem to indicate the appliance is in the basic settings. The clock button needs to be held for 4 seconds in order to apply them and get back to functionality. If you've definitely done this then a service call would be recommended.

I want to clean my oven. I have cleaned the door oven glass but there is still a light brown mark which is apparently on the inside of the of the glass. The mark is about 75cms square, its is not very noticeable but I can still see it. Do I have to take the oven door glass off and clean this mark off or will it be okay to clean it with it still there?

Bosch Serie 6 HBA63B

we have a Bosch built in oven HBA63B1.0B which has a self cleaning device built in, which we used twice with no problem and it cleaned the oven perfectly, then on the 3rd time of using the exact same setting which was the medium setting, everything seemed OK until about 2 to 3 minutes before the finnish there was a almighty crash and what had happened was an inner glass had shattered and hot glass fell on the floor which damaged the flooring. I had to buy a replacement glass from Bosch parts direct. When I asked if the same thing was to happen again would I have any guarantee on this new glass and I was told NO, so now we are frightened to use this self clean again in case the same thing happens which is a great shame as it is a brilliant thing but no use whatsoever if it is going to shatter the so called heat resistant glass. I now just wonder if anyone from Bosch was to read this would they have any comment to make on our dilemma, as I feel this oven is not fit for purpose as it costs extra for this device and it can not be trusted to work properly . I await to hear any reply from Bosch.
Also has anybody else out there had the same problem with there oven exploding like this?

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch oven.
The only reason we have had this happen is if the glass is not cleaned prior to using the self cleaning function. If the is not the case a service call is the only way to determine if there was a manufacturing fault that caused the problem. A spare part purchased from us directly does have a 12 month warranty but this does not cover lack of cleaning or accidental damage.

Tony

Hi, Thank you for your prompt reply to my question.
My only concern here is there are 4 layers of glass, the first is the door itself then a clear layer of glass then one that has black lines in it ( this is the one that shattered ) then the last one is a raised glass which holds everything together with clips you screw down, so the one that shattered is inside and can't get dirty and to clean it I would have to take the door apart each time I wanted to use this function!! Plus it does not say anything in the book that came with the oven that you must clean this glass before using this function. It does say and I quote :- clean the oven door and along the edges of the cooking compartment in the area around the seal. Do not clean the the seal. so this doesn't explain why this layer of glass shattered as it is inside and can not get directly dirty from cooking. So I still don't know if it is safe to use the self clean again.
Please let me know what your opinion is now.
Thank you.
Regards, Tony.

Hey Mim I have same issues! The oven isn’t for big loads like a roast and roast veggies! Mine will only do one tray of anything and I’m one person. Even I can’t cook a roast AND veg too. I bake quite a bit and only can do one tray at a time with a bad back I can’t stand around for ten-12 mins when the bullies have baked ready for the next tray. I hope you find your answer as I can’t make out the symbols as I’m renting. It’s frustrating lol first fan forced oven and I burn everything first try! Good luck Mim

Bosch Serie 6 HBA63B

Hi

I have a Bosch HBG672B.1A. The power was disconnected, however the oven did not reboot as per the manual when the power was returned. After repeated reboots it has now allowed me back into the basic settings (and not the persistent "VARIATION 91285301" message it was giving before). The buttons appear to have been remapped, in order to control the temp you have to hit the button adjacent to the temp button, similar issue with other buttons. The oven light turns on/off repeatedly, this seems to be related to the door sensor and the oven believing the door is being opened and closed, this also prevents the oven from heating up. Is there a hard reset that I can employ?
