Cleaning Querie
I have had this oven for two months and am still getting used to it after having gas for 20 years but enjoying the learning. I was told when purchasing that the racks could be left in this model while cleaning so paid extra for this particular model for that reason. However I thought I would check user manual and cannot find anything to confirm this. Can someone confirm for me?

Thank you. Does this include side bars/rails and runners?

Love love love - easy to use, quick to heat, perfect temperature control and easy to clean
Bought this oven to upgrade our 3 year old 90cm Westinghouse which took forever to heat and cooked unevenly. We were always burning or under cooking.
This oven actually does everything it advertises. Easy to use - once you figure the modern touch dials, it's actually very intuitive. It heats very quickly and has a timer to let you know how long it's been heating for and when it's reached the desired temperature and the best thing - it actually cooked like you imagine a great oven would - at the temperature and evenly! For the first time in yea...Read more
rs, we are actually able to follow a recipe and it turns out like it's supposed to. So impressed by this oven and it's so easy to clean. Also being a 60cm oven, it's actually more than enough for our family of 4 and I love the telescopic trays. No more reaching in the oven and risk burning myself. You just pull these great little trays out on smooth runners. Just so easy to use. Can't recommend this oven enough. Well worth the price tag. Also cool to touch so great when you have 2 toddlers. Thank you Bosch for such a great product.Purchased in May 2021 at Appliances Online.

German knowhow
Bought this oven along with the CMG633B.1B compact oven with microwave function to go in our brand new kitchen. After 25 years with our old oven, the last 12 months not having it working at all, our new oven is a god send. Cooks beautifully BUT takes a while getting use to the preprogrammed settings, time and heat settings which differ significantly from our old oven. Comes with a manual that had extensive instructions for a wide variety of meals telling you exactly which setting and time to put them on for eg: leg of lamb, boned, medium - cook...Read more
ware, uncovered - shelf position 2 - fan forced - 170-190 degrees - 50-80mins. Can’t really go wrong with that but to be truthful, we’ve done a lot of trial and error rather than refer to the booklet. Tried the pyrolitic cleaning function after doing roast pork that spat fat all over the interior of our nice clean new oven. Have to say I was a little disappointed. It did burnt to ash most of the fat splashes but needed to clean the oven door glass again. The control dial and touch settings are well set out and easy to use. Just makes sense once you get use to them. Get ready for lots of beeps and for the fan to keep going for around 5 - 10 minutes after you finish cooking to cool the oven down. You can adjust the fan cooling time in settings though . Overall a much better oven than what we had and looking forward to mastering it over the next 25 years.Purchased in January 2021 at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances for A$1,499.00.

Excellent Oven!
This oven perfectly cooks everything we place in it. To get the best out of it you have to read the user manual and become familiar with its many settings.
The pyrolytic feature is brilliant for cleaning the oven. It leaves a white dust on the sides which you just wipe out once it’s finished cooling down. The oven is extremely quite in its operation as well! Well done Bosch.

Don’t buy this oven
We chose this oven as in our prior renovation we had the older series equivalent and were extremely happy with it. The newer model (serie 8) is not user friendly and my husband and I curse at it at least once a month. Yes it cooks - however this should be a non-negotiable with ovens at this price bracket. What we find endlessly frustrating is the complexity of selecting the appropriate settings, a timer that does not display (instead the oven displays how long it has been on for... who cares?!), the 2 telescopic shelf rails are too close togeth...Read more
er so we constantly use a different shelf so our two trays of food fit (prior series had this right... why change it?!). It requires additional brain function to select the appropriate setting when again the prior series was so simple. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve accidentally (a) turned the oven off when meaning to amend something else, (b) selected an incorrect setting, (c) used a separate timer (phone/watch etc) as I can watch it count down as the oven doesn’t display this, (d) had to refer to the instruction manual to work out how to do something as the oven is not intuitive. In a brand new home build our only regrets were purchasing this oven and the second oven which sits next to it in our kitchen the Serie 8 HBG633BS1.Purchased in May 2021.

Love it !!
The oven we have is the HBG6753S1A Series 8 made in Germany oven. (No idea why the review header has the same model number as a Series 6 oven)
We have previously had a top of the range AEG pyrolytic oven back in the early days of pyrolytic ovens.
It cooks very evenly and the fast heat up function is brilliant. I have read reviews on this and other websites where people have commented that the rotary dial is hard to operate on Bosch ovens having this control system. My wife and I have not found this at all. The dial is very easy to operate and control and the oven is in fact simplicity itself to operate.
I can't recommend it highly enough. We really love this oven.

FAULTY, UNSAFE OVEN! NOT HAPPY BOSCH!
Purchased my Bosch HBG6753S1A pyrolytic oven on 11/11/2016, and have been happy with it until recently when I began to experience the following issues when using the oven;
1. Oven no longer appears to seal properly as I have steam vapors leaking out;
2. Grease patches leech out onto the kickboard below;
3. Excessive smoke fills the kitchen when using the pyrolytic function;
4. Grease drips between the two glass panels of the oven door.
I had the Bosch technician attend the house on the 11th September and he advised: "that he had not co...Read more
me across anything like this before, that he had the exact same oven at home and had never experienced issues" like the ones I have identified. I also have two friends with the exact same oven, they have not experienced any of these issues. Further, he recommended that I not use the oven as I would run the risk of it catching on fire" and that accordingly the oven, in his opinion, should be replaced. He stated that this would be his recommendation to Bosch. A representative from Bosch contacted me on the 12th September and completely resiled from the technician's oral advice. She insisted that the best Bosch could do was to send me some "gel" which I am supposed to put in the oven and leave overnight. Obviously this Bosch representative (possibly Vicki?) has no interest in customer safety or indeed customer satisfaction. If I am informed by a Bosch technician that the oven is not safe to use, then under no circumstances would I be foolish enough to use it. No responsible Bosch representative should ask me to put myself or my property at risk. Gel is not going to address my safety concerns around this Bosch product. I explained that I was most unhappy with her response and she reiterated that this was all she could do. After reading some of the Bosch oven reviews, I understand that I am not the only one to have experienced issues with my Bosch oven and I believe that as the oven is still under warranty, it is incumbent upon Bosch to address the significant safety and product faults that I am experiencing.1 comment

A little complicated
We are quite happy with this oven but we quite often have difficulty with the finger touch control. Maybe our fingers are too dry but we always do get to where we want to go, so not a big problem. The settings make things easy to get the right programme for cooking the various meats or cakes etc to get them to turn out nicely. The Pyrolytic cleaning system is a really good benefit.

Perfect buy
I love Bosch. All my appliance are Bosch and I've never had any problems or complaints. This Pyrolitic oven isn't different. It wasn't cheap at $2100.00 but it's worth the money. It's got 13 cooking programs and I like the 4D air the most. You should also try tagine slow cooking; the meat (any meat from poultry to beef) will be incredibly soft.
The telescopic shelves add to convenience. The automatic pyrolitic cleaning is a beauty. You're just left to wipe out the ash once the oven cools down. All in all it's 5 stars.

Fantastic alongside our Bosch compact oven with Microwave function.
Just to confirm our OVEN model is HBG675B.1B. Compact Oven with Microwave CMG633B.1B. Just LOVE our new appliances. Both my partner and I love cooking and have put it through its paces over the last couple of months. Soufflé, cakes, biscuits, thin apple tart, slow cooked Pork Belly with very crispy skin, slow roasted lamb shanks, beef cheeks, roasted veg, Pizza (our own base). We are still yet to use ALL features but all great so far. What we really appreciate is that we can use our "microwave" / compact OVEN when not needing a full size ov...Read more
en, saving both "heating" time and energy. The ovens also heat up nice and quickly. The majority of the time we have been using the 4D Hot air/Fan force option. Like the idea of the "Dry" setting you activate after using the microwave for lengthy cycles. Runs at 150C for 10min....to ensure the compartment is left dry so no moisture remains. We have found it very easy to use from day one. But we also made the effort to sit down right from the start and read the manuals. We are previous SMEG and Westinghouse owners and are very happy with our new Bosch double ovens.1 comment
