Hello, the mower kept stopping and starting, so I thought the starter motor switch in the handle was at fault. I have replaced with a new one, it still has the same problem. I then removed the cover checked all the wires were in place and cleaned everything in site, so no more debris inside. All replaced and it still has the same problem. Could it be the plastic switches inside the handle under the starter switch not doing their job. If so can they be replaced ? Or could it be the something else? The alternative is giving Bosch 150 pounds to fix it. Ouch. Many Thanks for any help out there. M

The motor starts and then stops after 1-2 seconds. I have bypassed the handle contact and the key. Now I'm looking at the motor power relay made by Tyco V23134-B1053-C642. Could this relay be faulty or could it be the motor itself?

Hi.
My mover (Rotak 37 Li) won’t start. If the cords are in place and the switch has been replaced correctly what could then be the cause?

Have a look at the battery contacts. I found some leaves trapped between them. Hooked them out with a screw driver and bob's your uncle!

Can the safety key on the370Ll ultra bosch lawnmower affect it from starting if it looks a little worn?

Don't think so you can prove it by shorting out terminals with piece of wire.
What safety key? The button you have to press before you pull the trigger bar? How would that wear out? If the mower is running then all is good. I'd only worry if it didn't work. Your not likely to have electrocution problems either from a DC battery. But if you are worried get it checked at a mower shop

I have a Bosch rotation. 37 Li battery operated lawn mower, it is 3 years old. Now it will not turn on even with a fully charged battery . Do I need to replace the battery or is it an ignition problem
Thanks caroline

Check for jams, if the rotor even spins anymore. Maybe the motor is burnt, or there's a contact problem in the circuitry, wire has been cut. But there isn't an ignition so to speak, as it is purely electric based.

When 4 year old mower would not start I purchased a new battery thinking that was the problem but unfortunately no difference so I decided it must be the charger that had died so I purchased a new charger and have now found even though the batteries (both old and new ones) appear to charge eg lights flashing ok when on charger the mower still will not start. Being a woman I don't know what to do next, if it's not the battery nor the charger what could the problem be ?? Anyone have any suggestions?

There isn't exactly a lot that can go wrong. A speed controller, the motor itself and a few switches. Have you checked the key, the handle switch and the battery terminal on the mower? Just look for anything that looks damaged or doesn't click anymore. After that, all you can do is have someone look at repairing it.
Thanks for the suggestions teedeebare I will check all those things tomorrow. Here's hoping I can find something.
Today I did check over the mower and removed the key then replaced it until it clicked back firmly into place and eureka the mower started. For those who may be interested the old battery worked fine after charging on the new charger therefore it was the original charger that had 'died'. Oh well I now have two batteries in working order. Very happy, thanks again teedeebare you saved me further expense.
